Propojení produktů BPM a BI
Zikmund, Martin ; Kunstová, Renáta (advisor) ; Švík, Martin (referee)
Interconnection between various types of IT systems used in an enterprise is crucial in these days. Most of companies are using many different kinds of applications in their daily running of the enterprise which leads to necessity of sharing data across those applications to enable all employees to make a right decision upon correct information. In my diploma thesis I deal with interconnection of two systems -- Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Intelligence (BI). Both systems belong to group of top IT systems with big influence on ongoing business and right decision making on all levels from operational to strategic. My paper contains theoretical as well as practical part of the solution for interconnection of BI and BPM systems. First part is about presenting and describing basic concepts and technologies which are used in process of integration of BI and BPM. At the beginning there is a short introduction to BPM, BI and SOA. Following part is including analysis of three major ways of interconnection between BI and BPM systems. Last part of the first theoretical section presents two products. IBM FileNet P8 representative of BPM system and IBM Cognos 8 BI as a representative of BI system. Second part deals with the practical example of real integration between BI and BPM systems. In first part of this section is simple description of the scenario -- business case. After that there is a detail depiction of two different kinds of integration of BI and BPM. Analysis of benefits, advantages and further possibilities are at the end of work.

Slouková, Anna ; Slánský, David (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
This thesis refers to Data Governance issue and the way of implementing this program. It is logically devided into two parts -- theoretical and practical one. The teoretical part represented by first chapter summarises actual findings about the Data Governance program, it explains what is hidden behind the term Data Governance, cause for Data Governance initiatives emergence, it itemizes particular parts of which the program is composed and basic, mostly software tools, that are necessary for successful program run. Third chapter describes the process of implementing the program into an enterprise in detail. It is devided into four consequential phases -- assessment of current state, design, implementation and run of the program. In every chapter, there are inputs, outputs, detailed decomposition into particular activities with references to document tepmlates that are used during theese activities, risks and resources introduced. In two attachments of this thesis, there are two helpful documents -- general document teplate and teplate of a role description -- that serve to better implementation of Data Governance program.

KLEČKOVÁ, Petra
Bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of impact of financial markets integration under the Czech national bank supervision, which was implemented on 1st April 2006. The theoretical part deals with general characteristic of financial market, function of financial dealers, creation, development, classification and supervision of regulation systems and modern approaches to this regulation. Then I concetrated on comparison of regulation and supervision systems in European Union and in the world, where I mentioned the Great Britain system as an example. In Great Britain, the supervision is intergated to one supervisory authority analogous with the system in the Czech republic. I outlined the situation in the Czech republic before integration where there were 4 supervisory authorities. Then I described approaches of integration under the supervision of Czech national bank. At the end of the theoretical part some activities that Czech national bank took over are described. The practical part is aimed at the evaluation of integration impact and whether the integration is efficient and conducts to saving expenses. Then number of chosen subjects on financial markets in 2005 and at present is compared and analysed.

Marketing aspects of consumer price perception
Tsiligiannis, Georgios ; Karlíček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Král, Petr (referee)
This thesis focuses on two theoretical approaches from the marketing literature: first, the degree to which consumers tend to associate a higher product price with a higher quality (price-perceived quality relationship) and second, the assumption that odd prices (prices set just below the nearest round figure) generate higher than expected demand at that level. The thesis concludes that there seems to exist an overall positive weak correlation between product price and perceived quality, which is also product/market specific, and that the effects of odd pricing on demand have been mixed and inconclusive. Important managerial implications arise from these conclusions. On the same grounds, an empirical study examines the relation between product price and actual product quality and shows that the relation is actually very weak for products falling into the category of electronics. Lastly, a second empirical study shows that odd prices prevail in the retail sector of the Czech Republic.

Carnival and Schizophreny of the Most Landscape.
Ištvánek, Prokop ; Haluzík, Radovan (advisor) ; Uherek, Zdeněk (referee)
Resume The goal of my thesis is to familiarize readers with Schizophrenia, a term used by local people to describe a traumatic social phenomenon which is to be found in Most brown coal mining region, northern part of Czech Republic. I start from Sherry Ortner's assumption that history is influenced both by social system and by agency. Therefore, I analyze traumatic face of Most landscape, reorganized by modern technology heavily together with anency of local inhabitants transformed onto collective public events. Readers can find here one of the first attempt to organize rich material, collected durnig my five years long ethnographic field work done in a Strupcice village. By the reasons of socialistic programme to mine the village and thanks to postsocialistic changes in Czech law, Strupcice got stuck and surrounded by two large mines. The village is dynamically developing presently. There are two main chapters from total five in the thesis. In the first one, I find the traumatic part of the surrounding landscape in several kinds of material, nevertheless the most important one is represented by naratives. Another main chapter is focused on collective events. I analyze them using some concepts of several anthropolgists, for example Victor Turner and his Social drama, Richard Schechner and his Performance,...

Possibilities of Neoclassical Geopolitics: Systemic Approach
Kofroň, Jan ; Dostál, Petr (advisor) ; Ištok, Robert (referee) ; Romancov, Michael (referee)
The submitted dissertation tries to introduce neoclassical geopolitics as a viable approach to the study of international politics from geographical perspective. The dissertation is a compact of six already published articles and a common introduction highlighting main points of the articles and further discussing some issues which were (i) eliminated due to space constrains, or (ii) their significance is rather contextual, in the sense that they set the articles into broader discussions. The first part of the thesis (supported by two articles) deals with a current stage of political geography and geopolitics. The main result is that geopolitics is today a divided (sub)discipline, as geographers are mainly engaged in critical geopolitics and scholars of the International Relations continue in classical geopolitical reasoning (namely those who subscribe themselves under the label of neorealism). The main difference is that geographers consider space as an inter-subjective entity - socially constructed, whereas IR scholars tend to see space as an objective factor. In the combination with other epistemological differences, this different consideration of space has produced an exorbitant barrier between these two fields. One factor dividing the two approaches looms especially large - it is an arduous...
