Play behaviour of Hanuman langur (Semnopithecus entellus)
Petrů, Milada ; Špinka, Marek (advisor) ; Sedláček, František (referee) ; Nekovářová, Tereza (referee)
2 Summary Play is very interesting part of behaviour. Despite of broad interest it still remains insufficiently well-researched. Researchers try to describe play behaviour and explain the ontogenesis and answer one of the most important questions about function of play behaviour. These are the main topics that I deal with in my Ph.D. thesis, specifically with detail analysis of play behaviour based on data obtained from own video-recording of play behaviour of free- ranging Hanuman langurs (Semnopithecus entellus) in Bhangarh locality in northwest India. Goal of the Ph.D. thesis is to analyze several aspects of play behaviour. First goal was characteristic of play behaviour and its categories and compiling of play ethogram. Self- handicapping is in the centre of interest of my study of play behaviour. This behaviour is typical and unique for play and has not been satisfactorily explained. In first paper included in my Ph.D. thesis I analysed patterns of ethogram of play behaviour of Hanuman langurs and other monkey species. Results showed that self-handicapping patterns and pattern dissimilar to "serious" behaviour can constitute a major part of play repertoire. Play behaviour is very variable and different parts may have different function. In second publication we analyzed in detail performance and...

Datastore for relaxed objects
Švec, Petr ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee) ; Kopecký, Michal (advisor)
Individual relaxed object attributes are stored in the database one by one. Each attribute is mapped in a unique table. All values of given attribute are saved in the same table for all object instances, where the attribute is defined. While the relaxed object store is an outstanding instrument for storing heterogenic data and/or data without previously known structure, it does not support effective searching using more attributes simultaneously as the current databases do not support indexes over more tables. The objective of the thesis is to design and implement a relaxed object store with a temporal extension. The primary objective is an effective searching. For this purpose a new structure for data indexing over multiple tables is proposed. A newly defined index structure can be used for searching for any object by attribute values. The relaxed store catalog makes it possible to search for attribute data values of given objects as well as searching for objects according to their attribute values. Implementation of the relaxed object store is designed for Oracle Database server.

Forensic ballistics
Hoznour, Ondřej ; Štourač, Petr (advisor) ; Musil, Jan (referee)
Criminalistic ballistics The aim of my thesis is to analyse criminalistic ballistics, which is a technical criminalistic method enabling to convict many offenders. The thesis is composed of five parts, each of them dealing with several aspects of ballistics. The introductory part describes the history of criminalistic ballistics from the end of the eighteenth century to the present. This part deals with the development of criminalistic ballistics not only in the world, but also in the Czech Republic. Part Two explains the concept of criminalistic ballistics and deals with its dividing into four relatively independent areas. These four areas are internal, transient, external and terminal ballistics. The following part concentrates on objects that are explored by criminalistic balllistics. The most imported explored objects are guns, their segments and classification, next it is the ammunition, its segments and types of cartridges followed by subjects which are hit by bullets and last but not least are gunshot residues. Part Four focuses on the origin and occurrence of ballistic traces which are created by particular functional gun's segments during the process of gunshot. This part also deals with searching for carriers of ballistic traces, i.e. bullets, cartridge cases and subjects with traces of...

Current Trends within the State Support Credit Insurance System in the Czech Republic
Nakládal, Jiří ; Daňhel, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Fárek, Jiří (referee) ; Procházka, Jan (referee)
This dissertation offers a complex analysis of the state supported export credit market in the Czech Republic. For the most part of the work the author deals with credit insurance market as it represents a key part of the system. Author analyses portfolio specifics of the local export credit insurance agency and searches for the most effective risk mitigation techniques and procedures in order to maintain its long-term non-loss operations while keeping in mind its special supportive mission. Particular attention is given to the export credit insurance agency's business policy that copes with problems of information asymmetry, moral hazard and adverse selection. Author points out the differences between state supported and commercial insurers, analyses European legislation preventing export credit agencies from competition with commercial insurers and outlines more effective endogenous and self-regulating system. Minority of the work deals with less important export credit financing agency that represents a dominant player at the export credit financing market. Author finds almost twenty reasons of its extraordinary position at the market that has no analogy within developed countries worldwide and outlines a system securing its complement role to the commercial banks. Finally the author provides the analysis of the whole state supported export credit system, highlights its main risks in conjunction with each other and concludes that combination of negative circumstances influencing several important features of the system could possibly lead to a long-term instability of the system.

This diploma thesis is focused on the research in the area of the new and the contemporary circus. The essential object of the thesis is the characteristics of the contemporary circus phenomenon, which should demonstrate its artistic independence. The analysis of typical contemporary circus aspects is implemented in nine self-contained chapters. These chapters are dedicated to the development process from the modern circus to the contemporary circus, the minute analysis of different circus arts and their particularities, the contemporary circus architecture, the circus artists' physical and acting improvement and last but not least to the human body as the cardinal instrument of contemporary circus expression. An important part of the thesis is based on the description of contemporary circus performance elements, which are practically presented on the compagnies' creative processes. Especially the last chapter contains the descritption of four different contemporary circus performances made by four different contemporary circus compagnies which come from France or francophone territories. The primary research method was searching and studying theoretical literature dedicated to the circus, interviewing circus pedagugues, artists and theorists and analysing the contemporary circus performances.

Determinants of Claims Satisfaction in Insolvency Proceedings in the Czech Republic
Pařízek, Petr ; Skuhrovec, Jiří (advisor) ; Luňáčková, Petra (referee)
This paper examines determinants of creditors' claims satisfaction in insolvency proceedings in the Czech Republic. To our knowledge, it is the first research to such extent in the Czech Republic covering this field. Combining microdata from Insolvency Register, Business Register, Ministry of Finance and other sources, we construct a unique dataset of more than 2,600 cases. We identify several basic determinants of satisfaction: a higher share of secured claims, real estate and cash in assets of a company, submission of financial statements into Business Register, selling the business as a whole within the proceedings, and entrepreneur cases. We find no such effect for the audit of financial statements or for the age of a company. Moreover, we search for other indicators that may result in the lower satisfaction of claims, out of which five are statistically significant: a homeless person in statutory body, registered office at a firm nest, being listed as unreliable VAT payer, a connection to persons that have multiple records in Insolvency Register and a substantial increase in depreciation in the period between the last two submitted financial statements. In contradiction to the bankruptcy prediction literature, we show that the financial data are unreliable for predicting the outcome of insolvency...
