Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy Department of Biochemical Sciences Hradec Králové, Czech Republic Field: Patobiochemistry and xenobiochemistry Candidate: Mgr. Marie Urbánková Consultant: Ing. Barbora Szotáková, Ph.D. Title: The activity of biotransformation enzymes in mouflons with dicrocoeliosis and in healthy mouflons Abstract In vitro activities of cytochromes P450 (7-alkyl/aryloxyresorufin dealkyl(aryl)ases, testosterone hydroxylase/oxidase, 7-methoxy-4-trifluoromethyl-coumarin demethylase), flavine monooxygenases (toward thiobenzamide), reductases of carbonyl group (toward oracin, 4-pyridine-carboxaldehyde, 1-acenaphthenol, DL-glyceraldehyde, ketoprofene, naloxone, daunorubicin, metyrapone) and cojnugation enzymes (p-nitrophenol-UDP- glukuronosyl transferase, UGT, 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene glutathione-S-transferase, GST) in old, female mouflons (Ovis musimon, Bovidae), both in healthy ones and those suffered from dicrocoeliosis were studied and compared. This parasitary disease is caused by Dicrocoelium dendriticum. Various methods were used, especially spectrophotometry, spectrofluorimetry, and method based on incubation of enzymes with relative specific substrate followed with HPLC analysis of biotransformation products. The amount of proteins was determined using methods with reduction of...

Zlepšení metod předpovědi termické konvekce pro účely letecké meteorologie
Dvořák, Petr ; Řezáčová, Daniela (advisor) ; Brechler, Josef (referee)
This rigorous thesis is engaging by some processes in boundary layer of the atmosphere, namely rise and running of thermals, focused on vertical motion and speeds of thermals, and on methods of their measurement and forecasting. It exploits data, measured by the GPS receivers and loggers aboard of gliders and paragliders during flying over Czech Republic, and data from aerological soundings, provided by Praha-Libus observatory. Measurement was in progress in so called cross-country flight season 2007 and 2008. The solution of this research is improvement of forecasting of vertical velocity of thermals and can be used in specialised forecasts for private and recreative flying and in forecasts of thermal turbulence.

Kavková, Kateřina ; Jílek, Petr (referee) ; Tůmová, Lenka (advisor)
Kateřina Kavková The aim of this diploma thesis is to create the summary of plants and natural compounds which can cause contact, inhalant or food allergies. Their incidence is documented by case reports, the most of them came from Europe, Asia and America where are these problems solved and science in these regions pays attention to allergies in general. Asteraceae family is the most often cause of allergy (10,8 %) thanks to sesquiterpene lactones, on the second place there is Lamiaceae family (7,2 %) with the content of fragrances and oils. The next position is engaged by families Anacardiaceae and Fabaceae (6 %). In the comparison with previous studies Asteraceae allergy is on the decline, but the number of subject positive to cosmetics and fragrances is increasing. Less amount of articles discuss about propolis and latex sensitivity. Source of allergies can be found in plants and animals as well. Particular case reports describe allergy and its diagnosis, identification of main allergens, therapy of resulting problems and eventually recommend next arrangements including prevention. The tables with complemented information present new pieces of knowledge incorporated to scientific periodics and journals from 2004 till 2009. The pilgrimage church of the Holy Trinity at Trhové Sviny
Nedbalová, Alice ; Oulíková, Petra (advisor) ; Royt, Jan (referee)
The pilgrimage church of Holy Trinity in Trhové Sviny Abstract This thesis presents a monograph of the pilgrimage church of Holy Trinity near Trhové Sviny. It focuses on its origin, historical background and the benefactors of the building and finally on the artistic value of the church. The work deals not only with a description of the church's architecture, but also looks into patterns and analogies with the Bavarian pilgrimage churches such as the one in Kappel near Waldsassen. Interestingly, the unifying element is the iconography of the Holy Trinity, which is reflected in the architecture and decoration of the church, in frescoes and the mobiliar. This iconographic concept is cleverly thought out, especially in the Trinitarian symbolism of the number three and the triangle motif that is repeated several times here. A valuable contribution is the main altar from Matěj Václav Jäckel, who probably created the church pulpit as well. The frescoes celebrating the Holy Trinity were made by Carlo Bonanelli who worked in the nearby České Budějovice. The church is an interesting result of the unifying principles of Baroque theology with the ultimate art design work. And we must not forget the question of the baroque feeling demonstrated through an impressive setting of the church in the landscape. Pilgrimage...

RNDr. Vasilis Teodoridis, Ph.D. Katedra biologie a environmentálních studií Pedf UK Doktorský studijní program pedagogika Externí konzultantka Prof. dr. Ute Stoltenberg Institut für integrative Studien, Leuphana Universität Lüneburg Praha 2012 The thesis introduces environmentally oriented concepts in early education curriculum with one leading point of view: key competences for sustainable action. Key competences represent new, open ended form of educational goals. Early education curriculum defined broadly as all educational content (planned, realized and hidden) presents a field of study of this thesis. In this field, a new concept, education for sustainable development, should be implemented worldwide. The question is, how far and how successfully can this concept be introduced in the early education curriculum on the level of educational goals. There are many general strategies and models of curriculum revision. In order to structure the empirical study, a hierarchical model of macro-, meso- and micro level of curriculum was established. This model allows examination of two ways of education for sustainable development implementation,...
