Architectural study of the cycling stadium / runway / Favorit Brno / on the open space in.

This diploma thesis looks into the area for sport and recreation in Brno-Komárov. The main part is the project of new arena for track cycling for Favorit Brno. Part of the assignment is also the solution for urban plan and redevelopment of the large area in the south of Brno in city district Brno-Komárov. Urban plan design is framed as conversion of the whole space into sport activities area for broad public. The velodrome itself is based on the idea of a bicycle and its parts as architecturally interesting part of the building, in this case particularly lacing of a wheel. Stadium could become new landmark for its surroundings and draw attention of the general public.

TITTLE: Violence in Czech Football and Hockey Stadiums AUTHOR: Bc. Tomáš Sekan DEPARTMENT: Department of Physical Education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Ladislav Pokorný ABSTRACT: The thesis 'Violence in Czech Football and Hockey Stadiums' is focusing on the supporters' violent and agressive behavior during competitive games in the Czech Republic. This thesis is studying all parties involved (football hooligans, police officers, a psychologist) and concentrating on the public opinion on this specific subject and stadium visits themselves. Interviews, questionnaires, observation and content analysis were all used for the purposes of this thesis. Subsequently, the thesis is analyzing available resources to understand what actions are currently being taken by football and ice-hockey associations to fight the violence, and if these actions can be considered successful. Roof Structure Sports Stadium

Aim of the final thesis is to create proposal and static assessment of supporting steel roof structure of sports stadium according to the proposed disposition. Climatic load (snow and wind) is determined for location Kopřivnice. The thesis consists of technical report, static report of main supporting parts and chosen connections, bill of material quantities, technical report with comparison of 2 options solution and drawing documentation. Computational model for evaluation of internal forces is realized in Dlubal RSTAB 8.06 software. Static report is created manually according to valid European standards.

Ice Hockey Stadium

Work deals with variant design of steel structure of ice hockey stadium located in Opava. It is a three-aisled hall with shape consists of intersection of ellipse and rectangle with dimensions 70 x 82m. The roof has cylindrical shape with approx. 50 m radius. The building is about 14 m high. Object is divided to three parts – main aisle and two side aisles. The main aisle contains of a rectangle of dimensions 40 x 42 m and two semicircles of radius approx. 20 m. Frames of main aisle are made of arc roof truss connected to steel plate columns. The side aisles with rectangular shape with dimensions 15 x 42 m are connected to main aisle. The structure of side aisle is made of a sloped roof truss. Longitudinal bracing and cross bracing are used to obtain spatial rigidity of the structure. Roof and wall cladding is made of Kingspan sandwich panels.

Sport Centre Za Lužánkami Brno

This thesis analyze the conception of the sport centre in Brno za Lužánkami. The area has a very extensive sport history, which dates back to 1922. Nowadays this topic has been very discussed because of the hockey and football history in the place of Lužánky. Hockey and football teams were forced to abandon Lužánky as a consequence of decrepitude and very bad technical aspects of the buildings. The diploma thesis deals with the new concept of the entire area where the professional and leisure sport activities will take place. The extensive architectural study of the multifunctional hockey stadium resolves the location of the object on the same place as the previous stadium. It put emphasis on the generous scattering area around the stadium, easy navigation and placement of the entrances from all around the object. The multifunctional usage of the stadium is solved by the telescopic grandstand and it offers the standard capacity of 10 500 spectators at a hockey match and up to 14 300 spectators at a concert event. The main expression element of the exterior of the stadium are the facade lamellas. They accentuate the ground floor with their dynamic placing and clearly indicate the main entrances to the object. In the night the glasses lamellas are shined by the integrated LED lights and enable to switch endless different faces of the stadium according by the current occasion.

Title: An analysis of safety measures in Tipsport arena for dealing with emergencies Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyze technology in Tipsport Arena ice stadium in Holešovice in terms of safety and security measures and to evaluate the internal measures of HC Sparta Praha. Identify emergency situations that may arise at the ice rink and bring preventive measures generated against these situations. Methods: In this thesis compilation methods were used for the analysis of the key points about technology and hazardous substances used at the ice rink, security plans arising from legislation and an analysis of the integrated rescue system. In the practical part, a technology and safety measures selected ice rink, the used of methods of analysis, observation and interviews. Results: Safety measures Tipsport arena is evaluated as positive and its analysis is given in the safety measures servicing of refrigeration devices, security controls before organizing events, breakdown of activities performed by fire hazard and are accompanied by the documentation of fire protection in Tipsport arena. Marketing research of merchanidising Czech national football team

Title: Marketing research of merchandising of Czech national football team Objectives: The aim of this work is to try out the position of registered users on the website www.fotbal.cz the breadth of supply and affordability of products, merchandising Czech national football team in official e-shop and stand in the stadium for home matches, the Czech national football team. The interpretation of the results to be obtained through marketing research, the task of proposing suggestions for improvements to current product offerings and optimize merchandising and increase awareness of the official e-shop merchandising Czech national football team. Methods: To obtain data from respondents was used method of electronic polling. Questionnaires were stored using the Internet with Google Docs. Results: Respondents expressed a comprehensive merchandising Czech national football team. Evaluation of the data was the basis for the determination of proposals and recommendations to improve the overall merchandising.
