Legitimation and professionalization of a Romani NGO in the Czech Republic Hana Synková This PhD. thesis maps strategies of legitimation and survival of non-governmental organizations working with people that use to be categorized as "socially excluded" or "Roma". It attempts to answer the question: "What NGOs do to be able to look successful, gain resources, and create organizational reputation?" This work does not treat organizations as "things", but as processes and social networks influenced by state and European policies, funding mechanisms and internal competition. Despite the organizations being discursively divided into those preferring more ethnic or social definition of their clients, they have to cope with the same pressures in the shape of social services law, standards of quality or control systems that come with projects. Organizations are far from devoting their time to "work with clients"; they are also involved in enlarging social capital of their members and in production of "texts" that serve their legitimation claims towards control bodies, other organizations and public. Current problems concerning administration of uninsurable allowances at regional (district and municipal) office

The basic mission o f the state is to create the conditions for the stability and to regulate the social climate, to absorb the social tension and by the development o f social activities to stabilise the situation in the society in order to enable the social subjects fully develop, affect and realise their targets by their own forces. These efforts intend to establish the conditions for the social defensibility of the social reform and/or minimize its impacts. In order to assure this target, the state disposes by the wide system of legal, financial and institutional instruments. The aim o f this thesis is the global evaluation of the actual legislation on the security of the people in socially indisposed situation; this people enters under the application of the Act No 117/1995 Coll., on social state aid, Act No 108/2006, on social services, Act. No 110/2006 Coll. about the existential minimum and Act No 111/2006 Coll. on aid in material necessity. When I evaluated the practical problems with the realisation of these systems I have resulted from the experience o f the employees of the Employment office in Tábor and of the Department o f social affairs and public health o f the Office o f region South Bohemia. The subject of this "The Influence of Innovation on Business Development" dissertation is to analyze the characteristics of innovation as a source of opportunities for the company's development. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts, types of innovations and innovative methods, strategies, funding sources, and analysis of the internal and external environment. In the practical part these new findings are used as a tool for understanding the innovation process in a specific company. This is followed by a suggested changes and recommendations for this company.

Promotional portal of the sights

The theme of the work is an Internet promotion of the sights with a help of a functional Web portal. The work explores the possibilities of Internet marketing, the beginnings of the implementation of the portal and its sustainability in the coming years. Describes a method of benchmarking and analyzes its use in specific examples of similar databases in the world. In terms of funding the site, the work involves projects for grant application. The goal is to propose the conditions for creation and implementation of the promotional portal of the sights.

Affiliates of the International non-governmental organizations in Czech republic: Example Transparency International

The bachelor thesis is dealing with the role of the international non-governmental organizations in Czech Republic. For closer analysis of their function, I analyzed the activity of the Czech affiliates of Amnesty International, Greenpeace and Transparency International. For deeper probe into their activity there is a case study of Czech affiliate of Transparency International. The bachelor thesis is focused on projects of Czech affiliates of the international non-governmental organizations and it is focused on the ways the projects are enforced. The case study of the Transparency International analyzes national influence on its function, using the comparison of Czech affiliate with the centre of Transparency International and with the Australian affiliate. The case study of Czech affiliate of Transparency International is also focused on the projects that it leads, on its financial sources and on its relationship with the mass media.

Trans-European transport networks and the eastern enlargement of the EU

Work deals with the traffic problems of the European Union, specifically deals with trans-European transport networks. It examines the development, funding, current projects and the involvement of the Czech Republic into the system. Closer attention is also analyzed the role of Galileo. The goal is to provide a detailed overview of the trans-European transport networks, to analyze the current network status and to evaluate the importance of transport networks for international trade. Notes on the problems that currently occur and need to be addressed as soon as possible. Work also suggests some solutions to these challenges. Work it was found that the Trans-European Networks are a very good project that has a future.

A mere fraction of dying (2,7 %) receives a specialized palliative care in the Czech Republic. Only 7,5 % of cancer patients are provided with the specialized palliative care. (Sláma, 2008) Specialized palliative care has different forms. It is hospice palliative care, special palliative care in the hospital facilities or consulting teams in the hospitals. The hospice palliative care is provided in the form of the inpatient hospice, home palliative care and day care canters. In the practical part of the thesis I focused on the analysis of the state of care through the statistical data obtained mainly from the Czech Statistical Office and the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic. Information explosion and methods of information problem solving

Cílem práce je popsat a zmapovat fenomén informacní exploze. V další cásti pak navrhnout možná rešení informacního problému a nastínit zmeny, které jsou nutné k optimalizaci komunikace vedeckých informací. V úvodní cásti strucne popisuji obsah této práce. Druhá kapitola obsahuje definice základních pojmu - informacní exploze, informacního zahlcení a informacní gramotnosti. Tretí kapitola se zabývá informacní explozí, popisuje její ruzné príciny a následky s ohledem na stav komunikace vedeckých poznatku v daném období. Kapitola ctvrtá vymezuje informacní problém, reší další nedostatky soucasného systému publikování a navrhuje urcité zmeny ve vydavatelské cinnosti s prognózou do budoucnosti. Pátá kapitola se venuje konkrétním pojektum a standardum, které napomáhají zmene situace. Záverecná kapitola je shrnutím. Vyplývá z ní, že problematika informacních explozí není v dnešní dobe aktuální hrozbou. Je nutné venovat se otázkám financování odborné komunikace se snahou celý systém zprehlednit a konsolidovat.

Globální ekologický problém - Spojené státy americké

Práce rozebírá současné globální problémy a soustředí se na enviromentální problém. Popisuje současnou situaci v USA, rozebírá jednotlivé projekty na zlepšení a jejich úspěšnost, součástí této kapitoly jsou i informace o Kjótském protokolu a vztahu USA k němu. Dále popisuje situaci v oblasti ekologie za vlád jednotlivých prezidentů. Nakonec uvádí současnou enviromentální politiku USA a projekci emisí v této zemi v nejbližších letech.
