Schönfeldová, Dagmar ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Lysoňková, Lenka (referee)
The bachelor's work "The Trial with Protectorate Government and its Media Portrayal in Contemporary Press" is focused on judicial process with former protectorate government and its medial presentation. The task was to analyze articles of the periodical press Lidová demokracie, Svobodné slovo, Rudé právo and Čas in the key examined period of months from April 1946 until August 1946. The question of post-war retributions is related to this topic. Post-war period after May 1945 was characterized by the tendency of the state to re-establish political and economy stability and the effort to punish war betrayers and collaborators. The extraordinariness of the trial was proved in many details as application of specific legal framework, nonstandard form of the charge, presence of nonprofessional judges in senates of the extraordinary courts etc. Individual journals informed about the trial and accused ministers with various accent. Considerable media attention was paid especially to the declaration of adjudgement and tendencies to its revision.
The Trial with the Protectorate Government
Havelková, Lenka ; Šafařík, Petr (advisor) ; Kučera, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis is focused on medial presentation of the trial with the protectorate government. On the case of this process I try to show how this historical trial was depicted on the pages of the periodical press Rudé právo, Lidová demokracie and Svobodné noviny. On the background of this analysis of the historical press I intend to picture the character of the afterwar years which had been characterized by groundbreaking changes within the czech society and the state. From this reason I pay attention to the question of the impact of the war on the exil london government's plans for the reconstruction of the postwar Czechoslovakia. Regarding the connection with all the postwar changes I try to picture the background of the origin of the retribution, both from the czech and foreign point of view. In consideration of the fact, that the retribution itself was a kind of means of coping with the past and starting a new period of existence, I also try do depict the political background of the trial with the protectorate government. Particularly I focus on the attempts to influence this trial and discussions, that had been circulating regarding the guilt and punishment of the defendants. The interests of the political representation were related to the media, which kept providing lots of information about...

Krameš, Martin ; Binková, Simona (advisor) ; Opatrný, Josef (referee)
Anotation in English The theme of my master's thesis "Inquisition and Protestants in New Spain (1536 - 1820) is the inquisition in New Spain, its functioning as an institution, its development and procedures with the main emphasis put on individual cases of judged Protestants. Firstly I describe the development of the inquisition in Europe with emphasis put on the Spanish inquisition. Afterwards I focus on inquisition as a judicial institution. Here I describe the whole judicial process from denunciation, order to appeal at the court, torture and final verdict. But the main emphasis of the thesis is put on the Protestants judged by the inquisition in New Spain. In these chapters, firstly I divide them by its nationalities. Then I analyse each nationality separately. I state the verdicts and punishments over the judged Protestants. Some cases, where we know some details, I examine with more details including the circumstances of the arrest, progress of the trial or even chat happened with the Protestant after his sentence had expired. Františka Zeminová
Borská, Eva ; Míšková, Alena (advisor) ; Havlůjová, Hana (referee)

The aim of this study is to contribute to the existing knowledge about court interpreting in the Czech Republic, focusing on court interpreting as a communication process. The study brings an overview of findings on court interpreting in both the international and Czech context, particularly regarding the definition of court interpreting, its professionalization, institutionalisation, academisation and the fields of research. It subsequently details the specific issues regarding court interpreting in the Czech Republic, i.e. the entities connected with court interpreting, formal conditions of working as a court interpreter, the relevant legislation and ethical codex in the field of court interpreting, the court interpreter's job in practice and a focus on interpreting during criminal trials. Furthermore, the study looks into communicative situations, forms of interpreting, the process of the trial in criminal procedures and the participants in communicative events. The core part of the study includes three case studies conducted on the basis of authentic recordings and the transcription of relevant parts of the interpreted trials in criminal procedures. Each case study consists of a communicative situation analysis, contrastive structural analysis and pragmatic and interaction analysis. These...
The Trial with K. H. Frank in front of the Extraordinary People's Court
Vozdek, Jakub ; Kuklík, Jan (advisor) ; Soukup, Ladislav (referee)
In my Master's thesis I described in detail the historical process of war criminal Karl Hermann Frank. He was a man who had been influencing the main events in the Czech lands for many years. I divided the thesis in ten chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the personality of K. H. Frank. I tried to briefly describe all the life's milestones of a man justly sentenced to death for his crimes against the Czechoslovak state. In the second and third chapter I focused on two men who played a very important role in the process and extradition of K. H. Frank, Kamill Resler and Bohuslav Ečer. In subsequent chapters I fully dealt with the process itself, from the very start through the daily courses of the trial to the verdict. In conclusion I summarized findings from the process and answer the question about the objectivity of proceedings against the accused.
An external pulse generator for neuromodulation
Flídr, Lukáš ; Čech, Petr (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The main objective of this work is to explain and familiarize with neuromodulation, its use and possibilities of its application in current medicine. It will also focus on the basic configuration and the block concept of an external generator and the time courses of the generator are described. In the first phase the base of neuromodulation is explained, then the main application, the implementation of this technology and the possibility of its application in modern medicine. Further to the work we will find an overview of equipment used for neuromodulation. The other part is focused on a design of an external generator using a MOTOROLA Nitron HC08 series microcontroller, its configuration and finally description of the time courses (impulses) from the device, that are used for neuromodulation.
External pulse generator for neuromodulation
Flídr, Lukáš ; Říčný, Václav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the treatment of chronic pain by using neuromodulation, where a external generator is used in a trial period. In the first section the principle of pain management is described and then the main nature of neuromodulation. The possibilities of chronic pain suppression are described, where we are mainly dealing with neurostimulation (stimulation with electric current). For better understanding, examples of neurostimulation usage are shown, where and in what problems it is used. Because this work deals with an external generator for a trial period (a trial system), the possibilities of testing electric impulses are described, which are then used in a implantable generator IPG. The requirements for such a external generator are also described, which are important for the design of such a device. The design of the device is firstly modeled by a block scheme, where function of the separate blocks is described and afterwards, the entire design of the external generator for neuromodulation is given. The test sample of the external generator is manufactured and tested.
