The thesis is divided into two parts; theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on general knowledge, which appertains to the questions of creativity in the work of the pedagogues. In this part, the important factors are also described, which help to lead to the creative approach in the teaching. One of these factors is using activating methods. These represent the main approaches of the pedagogues to teach creatively. The theoretical part is also focused on the position of the teachers in the process of school inclusion and on the appropriate teaching methods and strategies for inclusive education. It also looks at whether these methods are considered to be an appropriate instrument to the creative and effective mediation of the curriculum for all pupils, including pupils with special education needs. Moreover he was a prolific author of textbooks (one of his famous is The Technological Natural History) and musical works - we can mention his Wreath of fine songs which includes the song Wayfarer that is known for today. In music he paid attention to carols and Christmas songs and plays as well (the most famous is The Young Shephers of Bethlehem). J. V. Soukup excelled in almost every field, not only in pedagogy and music but also in drawing (he even taught Mikoláš Aleš, the well-known Czech painter), chemistry, technology and cultivation of plants. Moreover he contributed to many pedagogical magazines. The beginnins of his teacher's career were not easy, he strained for an appropriate position and during that time he had hardly anything to eat. He gave private lessons for food and played in pubs with the band of musicians to earn some money. However, as really hardworking and diligent student he got stipendium and thus he had not have any financial problems since that time. He knew K. S. Amerling (a great pedagogue who participated in the efforts of a higher girls' education) whose lectures he attended and was influenced by his philosophy. Josef Věnceslav...

This thesis deals with burnout among teaching staff, its symptoms, causes and possibilities of overcoming. The theoretical part describes the teaching profes- sion and shows its strenuousness. It also focuses on the personality of teachers and their ethical principles. It describes the required core competencies of tea- chers and, equally important, the need for professional self-realization, which, if fulfilled, can help prevent burnout. The author analyzes the symptomatology of burnout syndrome, its causes, risk factors, stages and ways of prevention. The practical part examines the main factors influencing teachers' professional fulfillment, their place on an imaginary scale of personal preferences, and if the teachers perceived them negatively or positively.
