Promoting the concept of Flexicurity by the Open Method of Coordination from the perspective of the Multi-Level Governance Theory and the Sociological Institutionalism - case study of the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis is a single-case study analyzing promotion of the concept of Flexicurity principle in the CR through the Open Method of Coordination (OMC). The concept of flexicurity began raising European integration actors' awareness since early 2000s. That was due to considerations how to strenghten competitiveness of the EU Member States' economies during growing expansion of more liberal markets such as China, and in the same time to maintain the European social model based on the concept of welfare state. In 2007, there was adopted EU's definition of Flexicurity. Flexicurity began to be promoted by the OMC. This thesis responds to the lack of studies analyzing the influence of the OMC in specific policy areas. Tha author analyzes literature, relevant laws as well as thier explanatory reports, National Reform Programmes, Czech government's policy statements, and interviews with representatives of tripartite actors who take part in social dialogue. The study explores how does the OMC work in the case of Flexicurity promotion. The aim is to find out which of the selected theories is more suitable for describing the process of Flexicurity promotion through the OMC. Preschool Children's Reading of Text with Picture

Preschoolers are surrounded by illustrated texts. They actively explore the characteristics and function of the print and construct their own hypotheses about it before they learn to read. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out how these children interpret text accompanied by the picture and how their ideas develop. Its theoretical part focuses mainly on the work of Argentine psychologist Emilia Ferreiro. The practical part is dedicated to qualitative research which is inspired by the work of Ferreiro. Data were collected from 13 children aged 3-6 years. Four cards with different combinations of text and picture were presented to each child. By an individual interview were captured the strategies used by each child in an attempt to interpret the text. These strategies were described and divided into several categories.
Teacher and his role in the process of pupil's self-conception forming

Theoretical and empirical thesis "Teacher and his role in the process of pupil's self- conception forming" aims to explore the theme of self-conception from the perspective of those involved in the educational process. Primarily in terms of personal and social development, whose major component is the development of self-conception of pupil. The thesis explores the possibilities and limits of teaching experience and tries to find some starting points and recommendations that can help teachers better manage claims that contemporary society places on education of children. It also seeks to give teachers a tool that would simply and effectively determine the level of their work on self-development of their pupils.

Thesis entitled Modernization of initial reading and writing in the 1st grade primary school using the methods RWCT and the interactive whiteboard in the theoretical section summarizes current concepts of teaching reading and writing, as well as defining new procedures, their use and benefit in teaching reading and writing. The practical part examines the applied methods and compares achievements of students attending the first class of primary school. Followed by a questionnaire survey of information, knowledge and experience with these methods for educators of 1st grade primary school.
Children's understanding of social mobility at primary and secondary school

The present thesis deals with primary and secondary school pupilsʾunderstanding of vertical social mobility. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and compare how pupils understand the individual social factors introduced in the theoretical part oft he thesis. The first part ofthe thesis defines the theoretical concepts underlying vertical social mobility and related areas, constructivism and childrenʾs interpretations of the world. It also presents an overview of current research. The practical part consists in a qualitative analysis. The data forthe analysis are collected through individual in-depth interview with primary and secondary school pupils. The results of the analysis are then compared with previous studies, and linked to the curriculum for civic education and social sciences. Children's understanding of social stratification on secondary school

The thesis is focused on research for children's understanding of social stratification on secondary school. The aim is the diagnoses of children's understanding on the topic of social stratification - finding the reflection of class inequalities, interpretation of the causes of social stratification, own evaluation of the society and ideas of social mobility. In the first part was defined the theoretical base of the thesis - the concept of social stratification and basic scientific theories of social stratification, constructivism, children's understanding of the world. Also were presented foreign and home research for understanding of social stratification. In the second part were defined methodological basis of the thesis and were presented the results of a qualitative research for children's understanding using the method of the depth semi-structured interview. The research results suggested that students understand the topic of social stratification and reflect it in a different way. Construction of the Reality in the Media and Political Communication

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of communication in the mass media in terms of constructing the media reality and in terms of the relationship between media, politics and the public. The work is devoted to the constructivist approach in the media and political communication and the relationship between media coverage and political practice. Selected aspects of this relationship, including the tools of political communication, are illustrated with the examples from the first direct presidential election in the Czech Republic. The work deals with the influence of media on the social reality of their consumers and deals with the functioning of ideology in the concept line of thinkers of the Frankfurt School towards Jürgen Habermas and Noam Chomsky. Within the functioning of ideology in mass communication, the work pursues a technological development of the media to the current era of digitalization, which significantly affected the social and media relations. A Systemic Approach in Supervision

Supervision is dramatically growing domain in the past few years. There are many origins which influence its practice and psychotherapy models are one of them. It is important to be conscious of the influence of theoretical background, which can colour end guide course of supervision. We can find increasing use of systemic approach in the practice, therefore this work focus on its application in supervision. We can find lack of resources specific for using systemic approach in the supervision in the social and health care services, so it is important to turn the attetntion to experiences of supervisors using this approach in their practice in this field. The study is concentrating on - what are the stands of supervisors to systemic aproach and what are their experiences with using this approach in practice of supervision. Semi-structured interviews and a questionnaire are used for obtaining outcomes. The data were analysed in qualitative approach. Outcomes of this study indicate emphasis on stands of the supervisors, rather than on "simple" aplication of methodological operations. Method of Integration of Valency Syntax into the Czech Language Teaching within Lower Secondary Education

The dissertation called the Method of Integration of Valency Syntax into the Czech Language Teaching within Lower Secondary Education deals with the issue of valency syntax in relation to syntax teaching within lower secondary education. The main goal of the dissertation is to describe, specify and define the principles, which serve as the basis for the integration of the valency theory into the Czech language teaching within lower secondary education with regard to pupils' concepts of the structure of a Czech sentence. In its three main parts, the dissertation informs the reader about the development of the perception of the valency syntax as a scientific discipline in the Czech and foreign environment, as the didactic transformation of the curriculum must be always based on scientific theories and comply with them; the second part of the thesis analyses the didactically transformed curriculum of valency syntax in teaching materials intended for lower secondary education. On the basis of a practical quality research, the third part defines pupils' preconcepts related to the formal and semantic structure of a sentence.
