Folk songs and their role in the musical development of nursery school children

The aim of the thesis is to address the important role and benefit of folk songs in the development of child's musical skills. The theoretical part studies children currently attending nursery schools and their development. Children are often in heterogeneous by age classes but each age category is on a different level of development and has own specific needs. At the same time it is necessary to work in accordance with the education system and follow its curriculum. The thesis offers guidelines that give suggestions and examples of how to fulfil this requirement by working with a selection of folk songs. The majority of exercises address the all-round development of the child's musical skills (activities: exercises with music, instrumental, singing and listening). There are examples of other activities facititating all- round development of the child based on the topic of the song.
Institutional care of the elderly in the district of Ústí nad Labem in the context of current and future population development

Institutional care of the elderly in the district of Ústí nad Labem in the context of current and future population development Abstract The aim of this thesis is to describe the situation of the institutional care of the elderly in the district of Ústí nad Labem. The text consists of several parts. First part is an analysis of chosen components of population development between 1991 and 2013. Second part is a forecast of population at age 65 and older. The forecast is the root for estimation of capacity facilities with care of elderly in the district. Next part is a description of the legislative framework based on the social services act from 2006. This thesis aleso provides overview of plans and goals targeted on the social services of the Ústi county and the city Ústí nad Labem. Boris Titzl, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The submitted thesis focuses on the phenomenon of child abuse and neglect. The theoretical background for these issues had to be found in the science branches which have so far made the contribution to the explanation of the child abuse and neglect. Medicine (mainly traumatology) explains the mechanism of physical abuse, psychiatric- psychological approach not only enhances the topic with the psychical abuse and neglect, but also offers a backup to a non-moralizing explanation why abusing persons behave in such way. Sociological and ethological approach helps to understand the contextual factors which could foster the child abuse and neglect. The social work point of view is used to introduce the system of care of the abused children. Special pedagogy part of this thesis approaches the situation and education of the abused children mainly from the ethopedical point of view and reflects specific questions of institutional education. Influence of institutional care and education on a child of an early age (covering especially the issues of language and communication)

The main idea of my thesis is to describe the influence of institutional care and education on the early development of a child. The theoretical part analyzes a child younger than three years, especially the child's personality development. Special attention is devoted to the development of communication and language skills of a child of this age, also the basic terms are defined there. The thesis observes the early age institutional care and education in the Czech Republic and abroad, describes its historical background and current situation. Related research studies and future trends and visions are also included. The aim of the research is to compare a group of children in early institutional care with a group of children growing exclusively in a family environment and check if the stay in the institutional care has positive effects on the development of communication skills.
Senior Sexuality

This diploma thesis explores the area of sexuality of older people, summarizes previously published theoretical knowledge in this area and is complemented by empirical research. It deals with aging and outlines the changes that may occur in humans during this process, especially in terms of development and transformation of sexuality. This thesis also pursues the perception of senior sexuality by his surroundings and the general public. This thesis also partially covers the issue of institutional care for the elderly. Objective: Mapping of senior population's behaviors and attitudes towards sex and their comparison across genders. Methods: Research conducted by a quantitative survey. Processing and interpretation of data regarding to the relevant age groups, which are based on a survey of sexual behavior carried out in 2013 and guaranteed by Prof. PhDr. Petr Weiss, Ph.D. a Doc. MUDr. Jaroslav Zvěřina, CSc. from the Institute of Sexology, 1st Faculty of Medicine at Charles University, Results: More than a half of the senior population in the Czech Republic does not feel the need to sexually realize themselves. Conditions of education for children from two years in kindergarten

This thesis deals with actual topic in the Czech Republic - pre-school education of children younger than three years in kindergartens. With regards to social, health educational and family policies development, education and care of children under three years of age have shifted to kindergartens. The aims of this thesis are to describe recent changes concerning family, current state of pre-school education system in the Czech Republic with regard to children younger than three years of age needs and analyze and specific these needs by a contemporary young child. On such substantial data base we would like to define specific conditions of pre-school education of such young children. To follow the aims, an inquiry was conducted to examine whether or not the needs of children younger than three years are fulfilled at some kindergartens. Following that, the inquiry outputs from individual school have been compared to one another and to a model of an optimal praxis of a pre-school institution. Preschool education theory and practice at German nursery school

ANNOTATION: This thesis deals with institutional upbringing and education of children up to three years in the Czech and German environment. It introduces the current situation of early childhood education with regard to historical context, legislative arrangement and initial models of both countries. The practical part compares examples from the following institutions: Children's nursery Jihlava, Czech-German kindergarten KIDS Company Prague and Kindertagestätte Entdeckerkiste Dresden. The paper provides analysis of their educational documents, describes the conditions of upbringing and education and examines thein impal on the children in these institutions. Assessment of the strengths and weaknesses is reflected in the proposal of optimal educational plan for early childhood.
The issue of institutional care for the elderly with Alzheimer's disease

Thesis entitled "The issue of institutional care for the elderly with Alzheimer's disease" includes information about different types of dementia, charts the current situation in the Czech Republic and in the world, characterized fundamental questions of social policy and presents some methods of non-pharmacological treatment. The research analyzes the conditions of life of seniors with Alzheimer's disease who live in different types of institutions. It also focuses on family members. For compact view on the topic contribute opinions of experts from relevant institutions. Aim of this study is to describe and compare the system of care in individual and institutional facilities using statistical information to point to the timeliness issue.
Legal regulation of delinquent youth institutional care in Czech republic and its impact on the individual socialization

Thesis deals with the legislation of institutional care for delinquent youth and the possibilities of saving measures in response to wrongdoing committed by adolescents or otherwise of a criminal offense a child younger than 15 years. The work also includes analysis of the situation and socio-pathological development of young people after leaving the institutional care. The last part deals with implementation of the Early Intervention System and Youth team as an effective tool in combating children and adolescents crime in the Czech Republic.
