Development of competencies of preschool children in the field of safety and health protection in kindergarten

The bachelor thesis deals with the field of safety and health protection of preschool children. The goals of this thesis is to describe the health and safe behaviour in the concept of pre- school education and based on theoretical approaches, which are important for scientific research, to investigate competence of Czech children that are living in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, in the canton of Geneva. The theoretical part compares Czech Framework Curriculum for pre-school education (Ministry of Education, 2021) with Plan d'étude (curriculum for pre-school education in the French-speaking part of Switzerland) in terms of health education and safety behaviour. It also defines the notion of health and safety in education and the developmental specificities of preschool children that are important for their development in the area under study. The last chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis maps out the risks to preschool children and, along with this, the didactic materials that deal with the issue, which are of Czech and Swiss origin. Activating methods of e-learning of Czech language in secondary schools during compulsory online learning

This diploma thesis is focused on activating methods in online teaching of the Czech language and literature. The theoretical part includes an explanation of the concept of e-learning and clarifies the context of the start of compulsory distance education in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the thesis deals with activating methods and their division. The thesis divides axtivating methods into debating, situational, staging, didactic games and herustic. The practical part of the thesis is focused on action research. The aim was to find out how it is possible to transform activating methods into e-learning of Czech language and literature. Part of the research was finding resources that can be used to fulfill the various activating methods in e-learning and to examine amount of their effectiveness in teaching. Main research has been provided by active observations and making notes into pedagogical diary. Through observation, the thesis shows specific teaching methods and evaluates their effectiveness in the online environment oin secondary school ArtEcon Prague. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. Practical part and theoretical part. The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of the younger school age of pupils who are the subject of the practical part of the diploma thesis. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with the personality of the teacher, who is one of the main co-creators of the class climate. Diagnostic tools are described here that are used to evaluate the climate of a given class. In the practical part, I use action research to verify which methods and forms of work have led to an improvement in the climate of my class. Providing language support to children with a different mother tongue in preschool age

The thesis is devoted to the problem of providing language support to children with a different mother tongue in preschool age. The theoretical part discusses the child with a different mother tongue, the framework conditions for providing language support to children with a different mother tongue at preschool age in the Czech Republic, methodical and educational materials suitable language support for children with a different mother tongue in preschool age and the method Kikus. Empirical part is prepared on the basis of action research conducted under the support of a language course by Kikus methods for children with a different mother tongue in preschool age. 1 ABSTRACT This thesis is named Linguistic Analysis of weather forecasts and is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the first part of this thesis readers can find general knowledge of field of media: the term media communication is defined, specifics are described, it is talked about a media product, content and meaning. After that we mention media audience with respect to the pupil as a special type of recipient. The following is a characteristic of television weather forecasts within the media communication and analysis of its typical means of expression. The last part of this section is the description of the school curriculum, especially the media education, because the research was made in the schools and the main goals of this thesis were based on requirements of curricula of the Czech Republic. The second part presents the motivation of investigation and the method of the action research that was chosen. Cooperation of First and Second Graders in the Learning Process

The work deals with the cooperation of pupils among first and second grade pupils in a primary school. It analyzes to which extent are second grade pupils able to give their knowledge to pupils of the first grade. Then it shows how the learning style and the personality affects the cooperation of an individual within the group. The practical part proofs the long-term investigation in one class that was systematically prepared for the cooperation among older and younger pupils. The results of this research in the observed class evaluate higher level of cooperative and communication skills of individual pupils than those, who previously did not deal with cooperation. Teaching pupils how to cooperate gradually developed their relationship not only to younger classmates, but to the willingness to help each other, to respect the opinions of others and it also strengthened the relationships in the observed classroom. Inquiry methods in educational area Man and his world: Seeds, fruit and young plants

This diploma work deals with the issues of inquiry methods of teaching at primary schools. The theoretical part provides some reflections on contributions and limits of inquiry methods and defines basic inquiry skills. Activities concerning the theme "seeds, fruit, young plants" for the pupils of the 1.-4.grade are suggested in the practical part. Nine of them were tried out in classes. The results of the action research are summarized in the conclusion. They are related to these research questions: 1. How to adjust inquiry activities in a suitable way for their use in the given classes at primary schools? 2. How do children react to this work style? 3. What demands does this work style make on teachers? 4. What problems concerning partial inquiry skills could emerge? How to continue working at them?
Authoring systems for the development of multimedia learning objects in teacher's preparation

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of multimedia learning objects and authoring systems for its design. In the form of a qualitative survey the paper discovers the most frequent practice teachers' requirements for these objects and systems. Subsequently, the paper carries out theoretical analysis of commonly available authoring systems for multimedia learning object creation and performs their evaluation from the point of view of the identified requirements. After that, the thesis notes that there is no authoring system available on the market that would adequately meet the requirements identified. Therefore, the paper works on the design and realization of such a system. Finally, the designed and implemented system is deployed in a real educational environment and its contribution to the teacher's work is validated by accomplished action research.
Evil. Notion of evil in Art Education.

My thesis is focused on the concept of evil, and its implications in art education at middle school level. The theoretical part defines the comcept of evil from a historical standpoint through the study of pertinent research. This part includes interpretation of exhibition entitled "The Effect of Lucifer" from the contemporary art center DOX as well as Philip Zimbard's theories on evil. The lesson plans were created by analyzing the art pieces from the exhibition and by comparison of conceptual maps. The practical part shows the specific art lessons, followed by analysis. At the end of the work is a complete evaluation of the project and related research, which provides an art teacher with the knowledge to address this issue in the classroom.
Cooperation between teacher and parents at the beginning of the school attendance

This diploma thesis deals with forms of cooperation between family - school, their meaning at the beginning of the school attendance, the benefit of the individualization of the child's needs and the educational progress. Action research seeking to answer the question under what conditions the cooperation with parents has a positive impact on the learning progress of the child and in the individual case reports we describe the effective forms of the cooperation which contribute to the principle of the individualization in the education of children. Other methods in the context of the action research are: interview, e-mail correspondence, observation, recording, tripartite meetings, performances, evaluation. During our research we managed to establish cooperation with all parents of the pupils of the language course and also individualize their needs with regard to their cognitive abilities and home background. We have found that the parents are willing to cooperate if the teacher is able to create conditions for that not only at school but also whether he or she can choose appropriate strategies and forms of cooperation with regard to domestic conditions of the pupil.
