Selection process of the school director position from the point of view of Czech teachers and headmasters

This master's thesis deals with the selection process of the school director position. The work is divided into the theoretical and the research part. The theoretical part is concerned with the school director position and its competence, on the other hand with the legislation relevant to the selection process of the school director. In the end of the theoretical part author analyses the selection process in Slovakia. In the practical part author used the questionnaire to find the ideas of Czech teachers and headmasters of the selection process and of the Education Act novelisation. The goal of this thesis is to find how these interested sides perceive the selection process, whether the opinions are the same or different. The conclusions of the literature analysis and the research can be used for the improvement of the school director selection process in the Czech Republic. The work is based on the literature listed at the end and on the questionnaire survey, which was performed with 115 teachers and 13 headmasters. Czech schools in the Protectorate

of English I chose the topic "Czech school in the Protectorate" for my Doctoral thesis. The history of the Second world war bellongs to my long interest. My goal was to create a popular - educational publication for student teachers. I never met with this part of history of our school in the Faculty of Education and in the Philosophical Faculty of Charles University. I hope it's very important to remind this part of history - dificult situation of teachers and students during the Nazi era to current students. This sadly topic could raise future teachers to love the profession and could raise the prestige of teachers in our country. My wish would be after reading this work to increase patriotism, love and respect fot the history of our school. I described individual school protectorate years with the introductional into the Protectorate Education. At the beginning of each school year I described the basic historical milestones. I wanted to capture the humiliation of our education system during the Protectorate compared to the high level of pre - war years, dishonor Czech teachers, pupils, students and progressive germanizacion. Class teacher and the selection of teachers at this position in the primary school

This thesis presents criteria in selecting an appropriate candidate for position of a class teacher at basic school, basing on performed analysis of different information sources. There's examined knowledge of a school class, potential of class teacher's operational and organizational meetings with his class, leading of parent's evenings and mission of a class teacher at recent basic school. Within school management it offers a detailed professiography of work of a class teacher determined with its legal definition, available professional literature and first of all with analysis of information acquired in interviews with five persons personally involved in these issues - school director, school psychologist, long experienced class teacher, mother of a ninth class student and a student of a ninth class at basic school. The class teacher's work is explored either from viewpoint of conditions for his work as also from viewpoint of his professional and personal competences. These criteria of selecting an appropriate candidate may further be used in common practice of a basic school director within making his decision on right person for this responsible task.

Selection procedure for the position of school direktor in Central Bohemia Region

The bachelor thesis Selection procedure for the position of school director in Central Bohemia Region is focused on examining the situation in this region due to the realized open competitions for the post of headmaster. The work examines and compares the views of different target groups and is trying to detect shifts in attitude caused by the amendment to the Education Act. The work is intended for headmasters, school founders and the general public, who may be concerned in the selection processes. The important part of the thesis is a summary of information regarding the current legislative framework, new regulatory changes and their impact on the selection processes for the position of school director. The work includes both quantitative and qualitative data concerning the open competitions which took place in the Central Bohemia Region after 1/1/2012. The case study covers the views of various parties involved in the selection procedure. This research aims to deepen the knowledge within this area. In the thesis, there are described different aspects of selection process, and there are mentioned possible areas where the approach to the selection of a headmaster may be improved in the future. Family constellation of Headmasters

This Diploma thesis examines the issue of family constellations school directors. It explores the family constellation directors of different types of schools. Starts from the premise that school heads comes from a similar initial family environment and that there is no difference between family constellations directors of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools. Basic starting point has become from research results of family constellations school principals in the Czech Republic, which uncover their characteristics.The theoretical part of the thesis starts with an explanation of basic terms, as well as maps of the individual differences-influence of heredity, family, education and environment. It also discusses the analysis of family constellations and their impact on the conduct and behavior of man. The research is based on a mixed research design. There is included both qualitative and quantitative phase of research. The entire research work is kept aim the work and research questions. TITLE: Analysis of operating costs in primary schools according to the details of selected metropolitan districts on the territory of the capital city of Prague. AUTHOR: Eva Štrobachová ABSTRACT: In my final paper I focused on the analysis of operating costs in primary schools according to the details of selected metropolitan districts between 2008 and 2010. The theoretical part introduces and describes the status of education within the public sector, defines the concept of an organization receiving contributions from the State budget and describes the way of financing the organization by its founder. It also mentions the relevant laws. Attention is paid to the question of establishing criteria of rationality of costs for submitting proposals of operating budget by school directors to the founder. The aim of this bachelor's paper is to compare the structure of operating costs in primary schools, monitoring of the indicators, the procedure and system of distributing contributions from the founder of the schools as well as to suggest possible solutions leading to a higher effectiveness of drawing up operating budgets of primary schools.
