From ghost to robber: Development of fears of early school age children Bc. Martin Brummer ANNOTATION The diploma thesis is focused on the area of children's fears and monsters. It is a long-range study. The research follows up the bachelor thesis, it uses the same research design and compares the results of both. The emotion of fear is defined in the theoretical part. Moreover the current knowledge about the forms, intensities and development of fears is presented. The importance of monsters for the imagination of children and their role in the set of fears are described. The empirical part is divided into two parts. In the first part the intensity of fears of children and their relatives is surveyed by the means of questionnaires. In the part of interviews the children's conceptions of monsters and situations related to them are described. The result of the study is the clarification of the development of the fears and the conception of monsters in the minds of early and middle school aged children. Title: The comparison of the quantity of gaming activities of players in ice hockey dufield the game in a small space and the entire field at young school age. Objectives: The aim was to find out on the basis of frequency of individual gaming activities by examining what is the moct effecient variant of the sice of the playing area due to the different number of players on the field dufield the ice hockey matches at young school age. Methods: The method of indirect observation was used, namely the video analysis. I watched 14 game, which 10 games were played on 1/3 field and 4 games were played on the entire field. All data were acquired dufield the 2014/2015 season in the age group of primary school age, specifically in the 4th grade players. The sample consisted od 42 subjects. The obtained values were put into created tables and then statistically evaluated and compared to find the most effective option. Results: Based on the video analysis and statistical evaluation od the data, it was found that minihockey played on 1/3 of the fiedl was more effective in two out of three cases. In terms of frequency of shooting and keeping the puck was the allover 5 against 5 hockey much more effective, on the other hand the least effective was minihockey 5 to 5 on 1/3 of the field. Title: The influence of elements of synchronized swimming on technique of the selected swimming strokes Objectives: The objective of the thesis is to assess the effect of the elements of synchronized swimming at improving the techniques of swimming. Methods: The results were detected by overt observation with active participation and subsequent scaling on the ordinal scale 1 to 5. Results: The results show that the influence of the elements of synchronized swimming on improving the technique of the selected swimming strokes is significant and improves overall technique of the selected swimming styles. Freehand drawing of early school age children

In this thesis freehand drawings of middle school children were analyzed. The main focus was on motifs and themes. Then the conception, frequency and popularity of spontaneous drawings were examined. In this case study ten representatives from second grade were selected and interviewed about their after-school drawings. Subjects were asked about the specific artistic expressions, the details and the sectional facts of their drawings. Thus the freehand drawing conditions in young children were evaluated. I focused mainly on the categories of individual topics of the drawings, the occurrence of a specific motif and their percentages in both the whole group and in the gender subgroups. Further it is indicated there is an influence of modern technology on children's drawings. The study shows the most common themes are motifs of nature especially animals. Despite of school duties and modern age the frequency and the popularity of freehand drawing is relatively high among young school children. Fears and monsters in preschool and young school age children

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the importance of ghosts in the imagination of children. The theoretical part deals with the influence of monsters on the European culture, defines the concept of fear and states the fundamental differences in their content in preschool and early school age. It also defines the concepts of gender and sex, and presents differences in the perception of fear among boys and girls. The empirical part is divided into two parts. In the first part of children and their relatives via a 5-point scale determined intensity of children's fear of monsters and other fears. The second part provides the empirical information on children's perceptions of ghosts obtained through interviews with children.

7 Abstract Title: Healthy nutrition for children of young school. Objective: The objective of this thesis is to create a clear summary of current general expert/professional dietary recommendations for children of young school age. Methodology of thesis: This is a search paper in which I firstly analyse expert opinions on healthy nutrition and right eating habits of children of young school age. General overview of current nutritional recommendations for children of young school age are created by synthesis and comparison of selected expert opinions. Outcomes: Diet of children at pre-school age should be varied and divided into five smaller portions per day. Size of a single portion for the individual groups has been defined in the text. Recommended share of sugars should comprise 55-65% of the overall energetic in-take. However, children should avoid consumption of monosaccharides. Cereals should be represented in six portions per day in children's diet. Ideally, three portions of vegetables and two to three portions of fruit per day should be consumed. Fat should consist between 30 and 35% of the overall energetic intake. TITLE Physical fitness and Movement activity of children in Otrokovice AIM: The main aim of this Dissertation thesis is to ascertain the physical fitness level of children in Primary school in Otrokovice. The next task is to find out if athletic children attending some of the sport clubs which are offered by Otrokovice town. Further we inquire in which of the three schools are children the most physically able bodied and also we look into if the physical above-average children do the sport more often than the children physical below-average. So far we are interested whether the performances of above-average children have a lower amount subcutaneous fat than the performances of below-average children. METHOD: The data for this Dissertation thesis is generated through empirical quantitative research.This research was carried out under standardised conditions minimizing the outside influence (gymnasium). The Focus groups for this research are school-boys and school-girls from primary schools in Otrokovice. RESULTS: From the measuring results of the chosen sample shows, that more than half of the tested groups achieved below-average values in the motor tests. Level of coordination abilities of young school age artistic gymnasts

This master thesis focuses on the influence that artistic gymnastics has on the coordination abilities of young school age girls. The purpose of this thesis was to use motor tests in the field to compare the level of coordination abilities of young school age artistic gymnasts with that of non-sporting girls. The tests results were subsequently statistically evaluated and commented upon. Another aim of the thesis was to compare the coordination abilities of artistic gymnasts aged 6 - 8 years with those of artistic gymnasts aged 9 - 11 years whilst they were undertaking particular tests. From the tests results it can be seen that artistic gymnastics has a positive effect on the level of the childrens coordination abilities. This finding is supported by the fact that in all tests the artistic gymnasts succeeded better than the non-sporting girls. Of the two groups the older girls (9 - 11 years) were more succesful than the younger group (6 - 8 years). The theoretical part of the thesis describes the Child's Motor Development, emphasizing the relationship between coordination abilities and young school age. It discusses the environment of the branch of sport called "women's artistic gymnastics" and the need for the children's sports training.
Power of the stickers - Ethnography research at the first class

in English The bachelor's thesis is focused on the phenomenon of stickers for children at the first class of the primary school. Its aim is the description and the explanation of the sense of their collection, grouping and exchange. The thesis is conceptualized like an ethnographical study at the school background. It is based on the methods of qualitative research. Data was collected using participant observation, interviews with focus group, analysis of documents and diary of research worker. Then it was qualitatively analysed and interpreted in relation to the relevant literature. The text of work is divided in two parts - the theory and the research. The theoretical part is coming out from sphere of psychology and also social and cultural anthopology, sociology, philosphy nad cultural history. The practical part presents results of the research. The aim of study is to enable better insight into the problematics of stickers, especially their influence on relations between children and self-concept of pupil at the first class. It describes and analyses in detail of principles of classifications and exchanging. The thesis shows what is the power of stickers to create individual and his surroundings.

The first part is the theoretical part and describes the evolutionary specifics of preschool and young school-aged children. The diploma thesis responds to very frequent question when is appropriate to start with teaching a foreign language. It also describes the advantages and disadvantages of teaching foreign languages in early age. It also pursues the issue how should be the teaching of a foreign language realized in preschool institutions and in the first grade of primary school. The second part of diploma thesis is a handbook for teaching Spanish in preschool age which is made on the basis of experimental method for teaching French.
