Coping strategy in personal assistance

The work of the personal assistant is a helping profession that belongs to the profession with a risk of a high level of stres, especially in long-term exposure to inappropriate working condition that can, in the end, developed into the burnout syndrom. In the theoretical part i define personal assistance, stress, coping strategies, resistance and burnout syndrome. The practical part is based on nine interviews with personal assitants, focused on stressors, coping strategies and conditions of their work in the organization, where they are employed. I found out personal assistants considered as the most important sources of stress children problematic behavior, communication with teachers and parents. Personal assistants are struggling in their work with feelings of helplessness, frustration from the childs stagnation, with feelings of guilt for childs problem behavior. In their work they are dealing with parents in mental discomfort and with problematic communication with teachers. The most used coping strategies of personal assistants are sense of usefulness and meaning of work, social support (information and support from parents of children, support of social workers of organization and supervision), relaxation, optimism, acceptance of situation, setting of borders, self- development. Helping Autistic Childern In The APLA Institution

This bachelor thesis includes basic findings concerning Disorders from autistic spectrum. Theoretical part is divided into eight chapters. Following chapters describe NAUTIS organisation per se and case reports compiled and based on discussions. In the theoretical part I explained what means Disorders from autistic spectrum. It follows by history, ethology and Disorders from autistic spectrum. Furthermore analysis of each individual disorder, which should elucidate symptoms and behavior of people with Disorders from autistic spectrum. In the end of the theoretical part, the bachelor thesis is aboutdemography, organisations and legislativ impact. Practical part is compiled from cases based on discussions with families, where I work as an personal assistant. I work with the families more than a year and they were willing to cooperate with me.
Social Work with Visually Impaired Clients

The thesis is focussed on social work with visually impaired clients. The theoretical part deals with eyesight, anatomy, physiology of the eye and various visual defects; further, on personality of handicapped individuals, quality of their lives, provided social assistance, methods of typhlo- rehabilitation and appropriate utensils. The application section searches by means of qualitative research, namely semi-structured interview and observation, complex functioning of an asylum for the handicapped - Home for Visually Impaired Clients PALATA, Prague. The dissertation presents, according to the findings, personalities of the interviewed, their subjective difficulties, the way they cope with the obstacles, their level of contentment, and considers bounds of assistance possibilities from the social background. The objective of the thesis is to describe options of social work with visually impaired clients. To present their personalities and difficulties they deal with due to their handicap. Competence of bilingual assistant

The aim is to map out the scope of the jurisdiction of a bilingual teacher's assistant competencies and compare with the statutory definition. The work is divided into three thematic sections, two are part of the theoretical and one empirical part. The first theoretical part is divided into a section dedicated to migration in the Czech lands and a section dedicated to the education of foreigners from different perspectives. The second theoretical part deals with the position of assistant teacher, competencies and in a separate section also bilingual teacher assistants. The third part is dedicated to research, under which the method of shadowing as well as through personal interviews obtained relevant data, all of which were after processing and analyzing the conclusions drawn, which were subsequently compares with the original assumption. The last part of this work is the conclusion conceived primarily as a summary of the results and knowledge gained in the research and mutual comparison in line with the aim of this work.
Sugestion on database of sports assistance for handicaped people.

Title: Sugestion on database of sports assistance for handicaped people Objective: A suggestion to create a database of sport assistants for handicapped people. The database should reflect the needs of handicapped people as much as possible and simultaneously respect assistants' real possibilities. Methods: In our thesis we used a descriptive research method of quantitative character containing some qualitative features. The research concentrated on 2 groups "users" and "assistants" via electronic online survey. Results: We found out that most of the handicapped people do not have a person with whom they could do sport activity as often as wanted. It is a reason why they do sport less. The users are willing to pay for assistance more than expected. The assistants are obliging to provide more hours of assistance on the grounds of pay rise. The results offer sufficient amount of information to create a database of sport assistants for handicapped people. Autism and Zootheraphy

Title: Autism and zootherapy In my thesis I deal with the topic of using different kinds of zootherapy for people with various autistic spectrum disorders. The thesis has a goal to find out diverse possibilities which zootherapy can offer to people with autistic spectrum disorders. I focused on exploration what kind of zootherapy is suitable for the specific diagnosis or the other way around, what kind of zootherapy is not a good fit for a concrete diagnosis. In the thesis I also describe a various subtypes of autistic spectrum disorders including Asperger's syndrome. I co-operate with organizations which are engaged in assistance for people with autism spectrum disorders, medical treatment and rehabilitation, zootherapy or professional animal assistance training. Zootherapy is in a constant expansion and suitability of various kinds of this therapeutic method for each autistic spectrum disorder, or mentally and physically disabled is still a matter of contemporary research. Analysis of the support for students with special needs in the form of assistance during their studies at the Charles University in Prague

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to analyse assistance services functioning at Charles University in Prague. The results of the analysis should draw attention to strengths and weaknesses of the functioning of the service assistance at Charles University. To detect these weaknesses and strengths, semistructured interviews were used. The students and assistants (who together create this assistance) were interviewed. At the same time, also the employees of the Office for Students with Special Needs which coordinates the service assistance at Charles University were interviewed. For comparison, a similar interview was conducted with the head of the Centre for handicapped students, which provides service assistance at the University of Economics in Prague. These interviews were used to a more detailed insight into the work of assistance services at Charles University. The study analyses the functionality of the service and is attempting to define the needs to help disadvantaged students to balance study conditions. Based on the results of work defines effective form of assistance. Creating appropriate conditions for the integration of Childern with autism in kindergarten

This Bachelor Thesis deals with creating of the conditions for the integration of a child with autism into the kindergarten. The theoretical part contains present findings to this issue. The aim of the thesis is to monitor the child's needs. I determinate the suitable method that is the observation. I provide the analysis of the observations results. The results are the child's needs, namely the assistance of the other person and the need for training and communication. I use the results of my observations in practice by setting the environment, time structuralization and training in social and communication skills. In the end I make the integration rating and I provide the recommendations for its further education.
