Dignified dying and death

Bachelor thesis with name "Dignified dying and death" deals issue of dignified exit from life. Theoretical part of thesis is focused on mans dignity, dying, death, paliative care, hospice care and euthanasia. Purpose of this thesis is to find out differences in opinions on question about dying and death between students to 26 years old, employed persons to 65 years old and seniors above 70 years old. Between these groups I make quantitative research. I choose questionnaire method. I collected their attitude to dying and death, opinions on euthanasia, ideas about dignified exit from life and what is their knowledge about paliative care and euthanasia. Some results are surprising and alarming. My thesis should lead especially to thought above last days of man.
Justification of ethical requirements of an employee in the concept of corporate social responsibility

This work seeks to uphold the ethical relevance of the concept of CSR (corporate social responsibility - CSR), particularly with regard to employees as an important participant of the economic process, which the scope of the concept of CSR falls in. So first we will need to defend the importance and role of ethics in the economy in general, and then illustrate the relevance of ethical business conduct toward employees in the company's strategy, which will be based on the principle of the categorical imperative and the concept of natural rights of human as philosophical - ethical grounds. Then, at work, we will deal with a particular ethical claims stemming from philosophical - ethical defensibility of the concept, while the requirements for an employer to an employee will be critically reflected on the criteria of Christian social ethics. When instantiating the criteria of Christian social ethics will be based on the requirements of this discipline together with philosophical ethics and economic (business) ethics. The human dignity topic in the writings of Pope John-Paul II.

The thesis named: "The human dignity in the writings of Pope John-Paul II." tries to give a general overview of the theological-anthropological viewpoints of the teaching of the Pope John Paul II concerning the protection of the dignity of human being. The thesis begins by touching the life stages of the Polish priest, bishop and cardinal Karol Wojtyla and later the pontificate of the pope John Paul II. The thesis looks on particular events which had made an impact on his personality orienting his whole being to the protection of human rights and dignity of every human being. The second part of the thesis looks at particular theological- anthropological aspects and statements which make up the corner stones of John Paul II's teaching. The third part then goes on to focus on certain impulses given by the signs of the times and serious topics which lead the pope to raise his voice to call for protection of human rights and dignity of every single human being.
Getting old at home - getting old in a town.

This thesis discusses dignity of aging and elderly citizens and the ways in which it is supported within a village community. Dignity is seen as the most important and universal human need, and not only for elderly people. Its significance and protection is anchored in international and national legal documents which are also binding at lower levels of state administration including the community and municipality level. Municipalities are public institutions obliged to create social policies. Citizens need to be involved and to participate in constructing these policies that touch upon the needs of specific groups of them, including that of the elderly. Using several methods, the analytical part describes the situation in a particular village community. The method of social-demographic analysis is based on statistical data and literature. Participant observation and close study of documents provide additional information to the analysis of secondary data. The results show up-to-date age structure and the present state of coexistence of different people in the community. Ethical aspects of handling data acquired from experiments on people

The presented master's thesis examines experiments on humans conducted in Nazi concentration camps during WWII and focuses on the conflict between the victims on one side and scientists on the other. In this conflict, which is centered around the fate of the data, both sides take a strong stand. The criteria for an ethical evaluation is to objectively articulate the main argumentation pillars from both sides and assess their validity in the contrast of two ethical theories which are virtue theory and the theory of consequentialism. To reach this objective, the thesis draws from available literal and audio-visual sources from the fields of history, philosophy, psychology, anthropology and bioethics. The paper is divided into three main parts. The first part is dedicated to terminology, technical execution, integrity, impact and logistics of the experiments. The second part analyzes victim testimonies and impact statements and arguments that had been put forward by the research community. The Law and Art - Symbolism, Aesthetics, Architecture Abstract The Law and Art can be considered as a field of legal science or as a part of the theory of law, which is beginning to enjoy the interest of lawyers and legal scientists and theoreticians. However, this is not an area of law dealing with the Art Law. The Art Law focuses more on intellectual property law and the application of law in the world of art and artists. This thesis analyzes the theoretical question of whether the law can be understood as a distinct artistic discipline. So called beautiful art. This question also is the main hypothesis of this thesis. The thesis consists of five backbone chapters, in which the author, with the help of partial hypotheses and submitting as much information as possible, seeks to defend or refute the main hypothesis. As a by-product of the research done, the author also introduces a new term "The Art of Law". Bachelor thesis in its theoretical part deals with the situation and status of Roma in Czech society, their history, ethnicity, culture, customs and the problem of social exclusion. It clarifies the importance of knowledge of these aspects for the work of educators and social workers and emphasises that the fundamental human values are dignity and the right to self- determination. In the practical part, a list of applied methods of working with the target group is presented in the socially excluded locality Lorec and evaluating their impact on the quality of life in the locality. In the discussion there is a comparison of the identified facts with experience from other sites of similar type.
