It points to the etiopathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Its emphasis mainly on the prevention of the disease. The goal of this thesis is to provide quantitative research information on young women on prevention of breast cancer. This study also seeks to compare its results with similar studies. The study cohort comprises students in general medicine and general nursing at the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové. They were provided with educational material and students could try the self-test on a model designed for self-test practice.

The thesis composes of two parts, the first one describes the physiology of the menstrual cycle and the related hormones, menstrual cycle disorders and selected aspects of a healthy lifestyle. The basis of the empirical part of the thesis is the interpretation of the results of the research survey, for which the method of quantitative research was chosen using a non- standardized questionnaire. The aim of the research was to find out whether a healthy lifestyle can positively influence the function of the menstrual cycle.

The theoretical part is focused on vaccinations in general, it also focuses on Covid-19 and the method of protection against this disease. Describes its diagnosis, clinical signs, symptoms, complications and treatment. He also examines the anti- vaccination movement and the possibilities of influencing people. The research survey took the form of a non-standardized questionnaire. The questions focused on the differences between the vaccinations of the professional and lay populations. Furthermore, the reasons why people are vaccinated or why they do not want to be vaccinated were evaluated, as well as the ways in which their decisions were influenced.

Medieval guardianship and its importance for the present

Key words: Middle Ages, 13th century, guardianship, religious orders, the woman in the Middle Ages, St. Agnes of Bohemia, St. Zdislava of Lemberk, nun This bachelor's thesis deals with the beginning of guardianship in the Czech lands in the 13th century, the standing of women in the Middle Ages and important women in the history of guardianship, above all Zdislava of Lemberk and Agnes of Bohemia. It maps their fates, work and legacy for the future. It also compares the life of both female saints with the way of life of a nun nowadays. In this context, the thesis also provides an overview of religious orders which devoted their work to charity and care for the ill in the 13th century. It tries to uncover the common and differing traits of medieval guardianship with the current concept of nursing care. The focal point of the thesis is made up of qualitative research, which uncovers the period problems in contrast with the present day. The benefit of this thesis should be to find differences and common traits in care for the ill at that time and today and the legacy left to us by the 13th century. It should also serve as a reminder of the wealth of history of the nursing profession and to increase the prestige and pride they themselves have in their career.
