Bakalářská práce se ve své teoretické části zabývá situací a postavením Romů v české společnosti, jejich historií, etnicitou, kulturou, zvyky i problémem sociálního vyloučení. Objasňuje důležitost znalosti těchto aspektů pro práci pedagogů a sociálních pracovníků a zdůrazňuje, že základními nezcizitelnými lidskými hodnotami jsou důstojnost a právo na sebeurčení. V praktické části je předložen výčet aplikovaných metod práce s cílovou skupinou v sociálně vyloučené lokalitě Lorec a zhodnocení jejich dopadu na kvalitu života v lokalitě. V diskuzi je srovnání zjištěných skutečností se zkušenostmi z jiných lokalit podobného typu. Bachelor thesis in its theoretical part deals with the situation and status of Roma in Czech society, their history, ethnicity, culture, customs and the problem of social exclusion. It clarifies the importance of knowledge of these aspects for the work of educators and social workers and emphasises that the fundamental human values are dignity and the right to self- determination. In the practical part, a list of applied methods of working with the target group is presented in the socially excluded locality Lorec and evaluating their impact on the quality of life in the locality. In the discussion there is a comparison of the identified facts with experience from other sites of similar type.
