Evaluation of the Company´s Financial Performance using Benchmarking Approach

This diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the business and financial performance of the company SWIETELSKY stavební s.r.o. using the benchmarking method. The thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part contains the theoretical background necessary for addressing the given issue. The following chapter characterizes the examined company and also describes the strategic analysis of the enterprise. In the third part of this thesis, the actual benchmarking of the company with appropriately chosen competitive enterprises is conducted. The final part includes a detailed description of proposals for improving the business and financial performance of the company.

This master’s thesis aims to compile a business plan for establishing a small company, specifically a distillery specializing in the production of traditional fruit spirits in the area of the city of Břeclav. The theoretical part of this thesis defines basic concepts in business, analyzes the external and internal environment, and develops a business plan for the newly emerging company. The analytical section includes SLEPTE analysis, Porter‘s Five Forces model, market analysis, and subsequent SWOT analysis, including a SWOT matrix. The practical part comprises the structure of the business plan, encompassing production planning, marketing planning, risk analysis, financial planning, and a schedule.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the development of business activities of a company operating in the field of production and distribution of packaging materials. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of key concepts and analyses necessary for the development of the second part of the thesis. The latter describes and evaluates the current state of the external, internal and industry environment of the company under study. Subsequently, the SWOT analysis is the key basis for the definition of the proposal for the expansion of business activities, presented in the final part of the thesis.
Feasibility study

This thesis develops a feasibility study for the introduction of a new product. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of the project. With the help of market research and analysis of the external environment, the current market situation was mapped and a SWOT analysis was performed. In the technical part, the design of the production process was developed and the production time was determined. The economic part quantified the cost and price of the finished product. In the techno-economic evaluation, the return on equity was determined, the break even point was determined and the risks of implementation were found and arrangements to minimize them were proposed.

The second part of the thesis presents the theoretical basis of the thesis and the technical concepts needed for the third part of the thesis, the analysis of the current situation, which is devoted to the analysis of the current situation, internal and external factors and the survey of customer needs and preferences. The outputs from the analysis of the current state are used in the following own solution proposals, where the output is a proposal of the future marketing strategy of the company with an emphasis on online marketing and the use of artificial intelligence.

The thesis consists of a theoretical part, which includes a description of specific methods and procedures for conducting the analysis, and a practical part, where these procedures are applied. In conclusion, these analyses are evaluated, and adequate improvement suggestions are made for any insufficient values.

Nejdříve definuje a vysvětluje základní pojmy související s procesem předání moci a řízením rodinných podniků. Dále se podrobně zaměřuje na specifika a výzvy spojené s předáním vedení v malých rodinných podnicích, zejména v realitním sektoru. V práci jsou prováděny strategické analýzy zaměřené na optimální přístupy k předání moci, s cílem zajistit hladký přechod a udržet kontinuitu a stabilitu podniku v rámci realitního odvětví.
