Human capital development in the organisation

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of human capital in the context of continuing professional education. It tries to anchor the topic in the managerial context and in mutual economic-educational relations. It is not only about the ability to effectively train and develop employees, but about the overall concept, a strategic approach that is beneficial for both the company and the employees. Human Resource Management is an interdisciplinary field in which changes are occurring and new trends are emerging that have major applications and implications for employees and managers in organizations. The issues can be theoretically anchored in the areas of human capital, managing people in the organization, continuing professional education of employees, and management by objectives. This diploma thesis deals with the selection of new employees and their adaptation in a selected company. The thesis contains theoretical background of the issue of recruitment, selection and training of new employees. An analysis of internal documents is performed, followed by individual interviews with persons involved in the process of selecting and training new employees. Based on this analysis of the current situation, are designed proposed to improve the whole process of selecting and training employees for the selected company.

The thesis deals with recruitment and development of students and graduates in relation to the talent management concept. It focuses on interpretation of talent concept, development of talent management, its current approach and the importance of talent management to the organization. Attention is paid to methods of recruitment and development of students and graduates, emphasizing the specifics of this group of employees. A qualitative survey is part of this thesis. Two methods of measurement were applied in this research - studying documents (career portals of employers) and conducting interviews with representatives of HR departments of large businesses operating in Prague, focusing on whether and how employers work with students and graduates within their talent management systems, how they understand the concept of talent and which methods of recruitment and development of students and graduates they apply most frequently. The diploma thesis focuses on the employee education and development in selected Prague libraries. The aim of this diploma thesis is to identify the current state of further education of employees of selected libraries in Prague. Analyse approach of education and development of these workers in library facilities and their offers. Analyse how the offer of educational activities differs from the usual state and in times of crisis. Compare differences in the way employees are educated in selected libraries in Prague. Based on the findings of the survey, analyse the differences in the way employees are educated in selected libraries and suggest possible improvements and recommendations. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with lifelong education, professional development and further education. In this part of this thesis basic terms and definitions are defined. Furthermore, in the theoretical part the diploma thesis analyzes competency profile and professional requirements for police officers of Czech Republic. The subject of the diploma thesis entitled Development of pedagogical staff in relation to trends in the management of secondary schools is the analysis of approaches in terms of national strategy, but also in terms of secondary schools themselves. The theoretical part presents the educational policy and educational system in the Czech Republic, the legislative concept and definition of education and a description of the control body, which is the Czech School Inspectorate. The work also contains a theoretical basis and theoretical background of the issues focused on the strategic management of human resources in general, but also in the concept of secondary education. The starting point of the research is the approach to strategic management of human resources in the field of education of teachers at secondary schools according to conceptual documents focusing on the quality of education and development of teachers in the Czech Republic and the use of funds offered by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
