Ability of the future elementary school teachers to provide the first aid to pupils at live-threatening conditions

Title: The ability of the future elementary school teachers to provide the first aid to pupils at live-threatening conditions Summary: This thesis is focused on the ability of future elementary school teachers in providing first aid to pupils in a life-threatening conditions. The introduction describes the motivation that has led to this topic and follows the objectives set for this thesis. The theoretical part is dedicated to defining first aid, inclusion of this topic into the school documents and programs, as well as a brief specifics of a child of a younger school age from the perspective of providing first aid, describes how to contact emergency services and focuses on prevention. It describes the universal process of providing first aid in three steps and complements it with practical knowledge gained from experience with pupils of younger school age. The practical part deals with the ability of future teachers in first aid in life-threatening condition, verified by the survey. Further analyzes whether future teachers are able to react correctly in life- threatening situations of their pupils. In conclusion, there is a brief assessment of achieved goals and recommendations for further development in providing first aid. Multicultural education at a primary school

The topic of the thesis is mapping the issue of multicultural education at primary schools. The main aim is to penetrate the current structures, to assess the possibilities of the teacher's work in the school environment and to find other ways of multicultural education of pupils in relation to the findings. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the legal environment of the issue at the level of the Czech Republic and the anchoring of multicultural education in curricular documents. It describes possible ways of thinking and approaches in contemporary intercultural education as well. It also includes the possibilities and principles of the educational process from the teacher's personality, his own competences, setting goals and content, appropriate forms and methods of work to the pupils and other factors influencing the lesson of multicultural education. Much of the work is devoted to the latest findings, trends and basic pillars and principles of quality intercultural education. Forms of Family and School Cooperation at the Beginning of School Attandance

This thesis focuses on forms of cooperation between family and school at the beginning of school attendance. The theoretical part defines family and school as educational institutions and traces the development of cooperation between these institutions. It shows current trends in cooperation between family and school using the elements of a strategy of innovative educational program Step by Step and project Parents welcome. It refers to the elements that affect mutual relations. At the beginning of the empirical part is first described the methodology of qualitative research. The main techniques used were observation, questioning and interviews with teaching staff and the parents of pupils at two schools - at the average primary school and at the school using the program Start together, which received a certificate Parents welcome. Partner reality was analyzed on the basis of a document Competent teacher of the 21st century: An international professional quality framework ISSA. The Role of Teaching Assistant at Elementary School

This thesis concerns the cooperation between teacher and teaching assistant (TA) at mainstream elementary school, with the emphasis on perception of TA's presence at the first stage and the second stage of education. It is comprised of two sections. Theoretical part is divided into three chapters. The first chapter focuses on the current concept definition of integrative and inclusive pedagogy, and coherent changes in recent years. The second one outlines the professional approach to TA, with emphasis on their usage at mainstream schools, including their employment abroad. The last chapter targets on mutual relationship of TA and other pedagogical staff, teachers and students themselves. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to mixed research which has two parts. The first one deals with the role of TA at mainstream elementary school focusing on his cooperation with teacher, in terms of a first-stage and second-stage class. For purpose of this part of study was chosen the qualitative research method with the usage of semi-structured in-depth interview. There were selected three respondents with required profiles. Japanese fairy tales and their use in drama education

The diploma thesis deals with the application of Japanese fairy tales in drama education lessons at Primary school. The goal of the thesis is to consider the suitability of Japanese fairy tales in the drama education lessons. The thesis is devided into the theoretical and practical part. The first chapter of the theoretical part I deal with a brief theory of fairytales. The second chapter is about Japanese fairy tales. The classification of Japanese fairy tales is described and there are also some examples. The third chapter is about fairy tales in the drama education. The practical part serves to verify the goals of the diploma thesis. Four Japanese fairy tales, in which drama education methods and techniques were used, are processed and reflected. All the lessons were realised at Primary school.

Diploma work is intented on multicultural edication, mainly on integrating a pupil with a different first language to the environment of a primary school, using the methods and techniques of Drama in Education. The technical part deals with Drama in education and structured drama. Next it deals with multicultural upbringing and its enforcing in the educational system, a pupil with a different mother tongue and his accepting and integrating in his new class. In the practical part I try to approach the complexity of a newly moved in pupil who has a different language to a new class using structured drama. Mutual interaction between a teacher and an assistant at primary school.

My diploma thesis focuses on a vital issue our society is currently dealing with and that is the problematics of a cooperation between the teacher and the teaching assistant in primary schools. A crucial element of inclusive pedagogy is primarily the close mutual cooperation between the teacher and the assistant. In the theoretical part, the thesis is divided into three sections. The first section explains main terms of the inclusive approach to pedagogy, second part mentions various means of support and the final part is dedicated to the cooperation of the teacher and the assistant. The empirical part is a research, which explores cooperation patterns between the teacher and the assistant. The research uses a qualitative approach and employs a semi-structured interview method. The aim was to try to understand various ways of how the cooperation can be maintained on a primary education level.
