Motivational and demotivational factors in the profession of a general nurse

This thesis discusses the motivational and demotivational factors that influence the work of nurses and their sense of satisfaction. The aim of the research is to map the motivational and demotivational factors that affect work performance of the Kolin Regional Hospital. The research's chose quantitative method was done by survey. The questionaire and it's contents were prepared by the author. The creation of the questionaire was based upon several similar surveys. Based on the author's research, it was found that interpersonal relationships among nurses were among the most powerful motivational factors; conversely, dysfunctional interpersonal relationships were the strongest motivational factors for changing employers. Another one of the strongest motivational factors was positive feedback from the patients. Since the research was quantitative in nature and covered the entire hospital, it is the author's opinion that the study should be repeated periodically and further focus on individual departments to better determine motivational and demotivational factors that affect work performance and overall job satisfaction. Desing of Motivational System Change in a Selected company.

This diploma thesis deals with the proposal for changes of motivational system in the company JULI Motorenwerk, Ltd. The theoretical part deals with the processes of motivation and selected motivational theories. The analytical part is focused on the history of the selected company, its characteristics and company processes. After that the analysis and evaluation of the current motivational system of the company is presented. In practical part, based on theoretical knowledge and analysis, a more effective motivation system is proposed. The proposed changes should lead to increased employee satisfaction and consequently to better working results and higher business performance.
Employee Motivation in a Selected Business Company and Changes Related with its Concept.

The main aim of this thesis is to propose changes to the current motivational program in a selected business corporation and other areas closely related to employee motivation. To achieve this goal, the relevant theoretical background has been studied. Subsequently, key terms such as motivation, stimulation and others were defined. Furthermore, an analysis of the current situation in the company was made. The research consists of a statistical test that examines the relationship of pre-specified qualitative factors. The calculations are based on data from the questionnaire survey. The results can, for example, indicate whether factors in the form of work environment, age or level of education affect employee preferences in motivation. Based on the acquired knowledge and data, specific changes in relation to employee motivation were proposed. For example, a proposal in the area of financial or non-financial bonuses, a program for young people, leisure activities, competition employee of the month and others.

Demotivation among English Language Students and How to Face it

The aim of the thesis is to develop the awareness about the existence of demotivation at English lessons and its possible reasons. Major concepts connected with motivation and demotivation are clarified, along with main demotivating factors at school such as a teacher, student's personality, fear or inadequate use of prize and punishment. The research in the form of a questionnaire realised at a primary and a secondary school was done to describe the degree of demotivation at those schools and to find the reasons for it. It was found out that the degree of demotivation is relatively high, prevalent in boys rather than girls. The main demotivating factors seem to be a teacher, a course book and students' laziness. Also the motivating power of praise was confirmed. It was indicated that demotivation is a serious problem that should be solved and therefore some suggestions how to motivate demotivated pupils are introduced. Prof. Jaroslav Kalous, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The final thesis is focused on the analysis of the process of motivation of teachers in terms of nursery schools. The first part discusses the theoretical forms of motivation and motivational factors influencing motivation of teachers. The second part is focused on the detailed principles of motivation for directors of nursery school themselves and the role of directors in the process of motivation of teachers. The third part analyzes the current state of motivation in nursery schools through meta-analysis of literature dealing with this issue in the past dealt with. In the end of the empirical part of the thesis, the influence of different positive and negative motivation factors are discussed, the incentive system is created for teachers in nursery schools and the recommendations for the management of schools is formulated, how to effectively motivate their subordinates and what to avoid. Collegiality and Individuality at School

This bachelor thesis deals with the relation between individuality and collegiality among pedagogical staff of vocational schools in the Czech Republic. It recognizes the ambivalence of these terms. It describes elements, which act contradictorily and whose influence is to be suppressed, as well as elements, which on the contrary can effectively boost mutual interconnectedness of these fundamental principles and therefore lead to improvement of the quality of education. The theoretical part is a literature search of available resources dealing with the topic in specialized books and journals. This part was enriched by the author's own point of view on the matter and revised with respect to the conclusions from the research. The research is a record of six in-depth interviews with selected teachers from vocational schools in Central Bohemia region. These interviews were carried out by the author according to her own scenario which can be found in the appendix. The output from these interviews is a description of the real functioning of vocational schools (primarily their pedagogical staff) from the point of view of the respondents.
