Title: The Extent of Use of Syringes among Injection Drug Users in the Czech Republic in 2010. Abstract: The goal of my bachelor thesis - The Extent of Use of Syringes among Injection Drug Users in the Czech Republic in 2010, is to point out the extent of the distribution of syringes to injection drug in the Czech Republic. In theory part my main focus is on problem injection use, complication connected with intravenous application, and with reducing risk and harm of this use. I also pay attention to drug low-treshold services. In the practical part, I have collected zhe data obtained from producers of this specific injection material and from six most known distributors who supply public pharmacies with healing preparations and medical technology. I have conducted a survey on situatin of patients who aplly insulin using classic insulin injections. Further, I have conducted a survey on delivery of this insuli injections into institution of hospital type and for other final markets. In my work I also focus on the biggest final market: threshold services - contact centres, terrain programme. In the Discussion I present a set of recommendations that could contribute to improvement of addictology services in the Czech Republic. Evaluation of Low - treshold services for children and youth in Hradec Králové
Kuchaříková, Petra ; Krahulcová, Beáta (advisor) ; Nová, Monika (referee)
My diploma thesis deals with Low-threshold services for children and youth and with fulfilling of the standards for quality in social services. Firstly I analysed problems of leisure time, historical events in the development in Low-threshold services for children and youth and binding documents for social workers. These problems are also discussed in relevance to the social services law. I mentioned the principles of low-threshold, aims of these establishments, target group and the whole process of this programme. One chapter deals with the management and financing and with social workers, their qualities, competences and supervision as the aide in self-education, and beneficiaries of social services and their characteristics. What threatens these beneficiaries are socio-pathological phenomenons, the most important ones are listed and I added the prevention. I described one mentioned establishment, which employs volunteers. For the evaluation of fulfilling of standards in social services I have chosen two low-threshold services for children and youth from Hradec Králové, where I have found if the standars are fulfilled or not by means of studying of methodology, observations and interviews with workers and beneficiaries. For conclusion I suggested some improvements which could be used in these establishments.

In the Whirl of Events: the Y.W.C.A. and the Civic Society in 1948.
Appeltová, Michaela ; Sokolová, Věra (advisor) ; Havelka, Miloš (referee)
This thesis concentrates on the "other" subject of history writing, once an important women's organisation in Czechoslovakia, the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) and from its perspective analyzes the changes that occurred in the NGOs sector after the communist takeover in February 1948. At first the thesis deals with its programme as well as the activities from its founding until 1948. Archive materials are in this part supplemented with the memories of its members. The main part of the thesis addresses the changes after 1948. It proves that the Communist Party did not have a clear vision of the extent of ideological control it would seek over the society - the thesis describes discussions about the structure of women and youth mass organisations that continued long after February 1948; the Communist Party indecisiveness about whether to liquidate the YWCA or merge it with one of the mass organisations; also a concern for the international consequences of liquidating the YWCA may have played its role in the communist indecisiveness. Further, the thesis describes the process of liquidating associations, intitutionalising the National Administrators in charge of the associations for the purpose of exercising better political control, and/or merging the associations with mass organisations. This thesis is focused on education of financial literacy of children living in children's homes. It is based on current state of education politics in the fields of financial literacy, the contents of educational programmes and qualitative research of real current state of education of financial literacy in children's homes. The research itself will be made via structured interviews with children from children's homes. The research is focused on discovering the level of financial literacy of older children (15 - 18 years old) permanently living in children's homes, searching for possibilities of improvement of education of financial literacy in children's homes and therefore increasing prevention of social exclusion of young people leaving children's homes due to over-owing which is usually caused by low level of financial literacy. Key words Financial literacy, a client of a children's home, over-owing, social exclusion, the standards of financial literacy, educational politics, educational programs, economizing on financial resources.

REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND THE TERRITORIAL PROTECTION OF RURAL ARCHITECTURE COMPLEXES IN VILLAGES IN ČESKÁ LÍPA DISTRICT
HANZLÍČKOVÁ, Markéta
The territorial protection of historical monuments has been ensured by law since the fifties and the preservation of landscape complexes is more and more emphasised. In the Czech Republic, there are 40 town heritage reserves and 61 village reserves. Cores of historic cities futher protected by 209 town heritage zones nad 164 village heritage zones. Then Conditions int the Czech Republic call for an individual aproach that might be of interes for small historic cities and villages and their micro-regions. The regional development in rural areas, especially in village heritage reserves and village heritage zones should be improved very quickly. This fact has to be reflected in the strategy of the rural areas development as well as in the local resources affordable for safeguarding of culture heritage. The strategy of social and economy development programme should be based on support and use of 2 basic items {--} a city in which the unique character must be protected for future generations and a city as a high quality place for life and work for its citizens. For taking this strategy program in life is high level of cooperation between public on one side and municiple offices and government on the other side really key and necessary. The fact is that regional development and the territorial protection of village heritage zones and reserves are quite important issues at the time and their importance will be increasing in future. It is necessary to create a database of technological procedures of heritage skills and crafts, information how to get financial support etc. and support the publishig of the saved knowledge and its distribution in all sites. This is the only way how to save our cultural treasure for future generations.

System for stabilizing femtosecond lasers
Čížek, Martin
We describe a device intended for stabilizing optical frequency combs with respect to high-grade RF oscillators. The whole designed system is modular and can be adapted to actual conditions given mainly by level, frequency and signal to noise ratio of the processed signals. The device is based on a specialized integrated circuit (IC) that contains functional blocks for direct digital synthesis, digital phase detection, limiters, programmable dividers and control logic. The specialized IC is accompanied by specially developed control electronics based on a microcontroller that allows communication via CAN bus. This allows remote management of the whole system and integrating it into complex automated experiments with optical frequency synthesizers. The device is used for stabilizing offset or repetition frequency of the optical frequency comb. To ensure best possible conditions for a fast first-order controller the setup is extended by a slower second-order controller with a high dynamic range. This second-order controller is built around a specialized 18-bit AD/DA card and a software application in LabView environment. The bandwidth of the closed control loop can be up to single MHz. The only limiting factor is the tuning speed of the femtosecond laser.
