Generations X, Y and Z at Workplace

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to evaluate Generations X, Y and Z in the work environment and to set out a proposal for the management of organisations to better manage these generations. The theoretical part introduces generations X, Y, Z in the field of characteristics, family, technology and mainly work. It also includes a subsection on how to manage the generations and the results of research already conducted. The results of the questionnaire survey are presented in the practical part. The questionnaire contained a total of 25 questions and was completed by 107 respondents from my area. Processing the results of the questionnaire survey followed by a discussion in which the results are compared with already known information about the generations from earlier surveys. Lastly, a proposal for recommendations on how to better manage Generations X, Y and Z in the working environment. This research could be beneficial for the management of organisations.
Recruitment and Selection of Employees in Selected Company

This thesis focuses on the analysis of the recruitment and selection of employees at CONTEG, s. r. o., based in Pelhřimov. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the system of recruitment and selection of employees in the selected company and to suggest possible changes for the improvement of this system. The first part of the thesis concentrates on a general description and theoretical principles of human resource management, with an emphasis on the recruitment and selection of new employees. The content of the practical part involves examining the current state within the company, applying two research methods: quantitative and qualitative. The survey is conducted through a questionnaire, complemented by a structured interview with the director of the HR department. The questions included in the questionnaire are designed to provide quantifiable data suitable for statistical processing. This method of processing enables a thorough understanding of the problems the company faces. In conclusion, the thesis presents suggestions for making the recruitment and selection process more efficient.
Human Resource Management in Context of Industy 4.0 in Manufacturing

The topic of this bachelor thesis is human resource management in the context of Industry 4.0 in manufacturing. The aim is to evaluate the system and changes in human resource management in the context of Industry 4.0 in manufacturing and to propose changes leading to a better readiness of the human resource management system for Industry 4.0. These objectives were achieved through a questionnaire survey conducted in 96 manufacturing companies in the Czech Republic. This questionnaire was created by compiling theoretical background. The questionnaire survey contained 17 questions focused mainly on the current state of human resource management in the context of Industry 4.0 - specifically on HRM digitalization in the manufacturing sector in the Czech Republic. The questionnaire was distributed electronically (Google Docs) among a wide range of manufacturing enterprises in the Czech Republic in order to obtain representative data. The collected data was processed and analysed using descriptive statistics in Microsoft Excel. Further, statistical processing of the data was done where the hypotheses were tested using t-test and chi-square test. After summarizing the results, specific suggestions and recommendations were made for manufacturing companies leading to better readiness of the HRM system for Industry 4.0 in the context of HRM digitalization.

Applying Diversity Management Concept in the Field of Human Resource Management

The presented Ph.D. thesis deals with the topic of Diversity management and its application into the area of Human Resourse Management. The main goal of the thesis is to survey the impact of diversity on the effective team operation in selected organizations in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is thus to identify factors that influence the team effectiveness.The investigated teams operate in selected companies in the Czech Republic The Ph.D. thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical part and the empirical part. The aim of the theoretical part is to provide a summary of personnel work in organizations with a focus on Human Resource Management at organizational and team´s level. Modern trends are also introduced: diversity management, talent management etc.The second part of the theoretical part is dedicated to diversity and diversity management, diversity classification, the structure of diversity management, functioning in teams, diverse teams and measuring the influence of diversity on team effectiveness. In the end of the theoretical part a summary of key research results is presented. A dictionary of key terms is also created as a part the presented thesis. In the empirical part an analysis of the research results gained by making pilot researches and main research are presented.The research was focused on studying the effectiveness of diverse teams in organizations mainly from the following sectors: Finance a Insurance, IT, Information and communication and Education. The research sample in the main research consisted of 98 team leaders.The gathered data were processed using descriptive and explorative statistics (nonparametric tests: Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, the Mann – Whitney U test and The Kruskal – Wallis Test). A qualitative analysis was used in the analysis of chosen items.The main results of the research is the following: 1.a slightly positive correlation was detected between gender diversity and handling project or work deadlines. 2.a positive correlation was found between informational diversity and goals or specific task/assignment achievement. 3. a slightly positive correlation was detected between the informational diversity and handling project or work deadlines. In teams with a focus on Human Resource Management a middle level of gender diversity was found, whereas in project teams the informational diversity is on a high level. Marketing teams have a lower level of information diversity. The same results is for teams with a focus on Management of academic projects/programs. No relationship was detected between the team effectiveness and the team size. The same negative results were found for the organizational size and the rate of occurence of age, gender or informational diversity.The qualitative analysis concluded that age diversity is linked with a situation of mixing different perspectives and experience in teams; gender diversity could have a positive influence on socio – psychological dynamics in a team and be efficient for client management. Informational diversity was mentioned as a factor of improving the problem-solving process and project effectiveness. Respondents were asked to define the traits/factors of a high – performing teams. Proportions in gender: 50:50, proportional representation of experienced and not so experienced peers in teams. The role of the manager is to unite the team, to support team members´potential, team cooperation with a goal to fulfil the task.
Remuneration System of Employees in a Selected Company

In its theoretical part, this diploma thesis deals with work motivation with an emphasis on the needs of employees. Moreover, it describes the functions of remuneration system and its individual parts with focus on their motivational effects. The practical part utilizes theoretical knowledge in order to analyze the remuneration system of a medium-sized manufacturing plant. The analysis and the consequent recommendations are directed towards the improvement of employee satisfaction and their loyalty.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate premises of creativity development of current sales representatives Nilfisk-Advance, Ltd and on the basis of this knowledge to recommend certain methods to improve the performance of individual sales representatives. To meet this goal, the theoretical part describes relevant findings for examining the premises of current employees on the basis of literature and analytical part on the theoretical background maps actual performance and premises of creativity of existing sales force analyzed company. Outcome of the diploma thesis is the formulation of relevant recommendations for the development of the employees and company.

Tato diplomová práce hodnotí způsob řízení lidských zdrojů ve společnosti DSG International SSC s. r. o. Na základě teoretických východisek se zabývá rozborem jednotlivých personálních činností. Dotazníkové šetření odhaluje silné a slabé stránky týkající se spokojenosti zaměstnanců a charakteristických rysů jejich práce. Navržené kroky na zlepšení poskytují možnost jak v budoucnu dosáhnout větší efektivity v oblasti řízení lidského kapitálu.
