This thesis deals with the analysis and design changes to a specific company information system under real conditions, and is therefore more practically oriented. The information system is studied both from the perspective of the end user, which is the focus, and in terms of operation and implementation of program solutions. The information system is studied as a whole in a broader context, not only in terms of applications (software), but also in terms of the flow of information, storage and organization of data, users, security, hardware, etc. It should serve to the company as a guide for the elimination of inefficient and / or risk areas, thereby helping to improve work productivity and employee satisfaction.

Shedding Light on The Dark Web

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o Temném webu a jeho využití. Přestože je Temný web součástí Internetu takřka od samotného vzniku Internetu, veřejnost mu začala věnovat svou pozornost teprve před pár lety. Hlavním cílem této práce je zvýšit povědomí uživatelů internetu o dané problematice Temného webu a tím jim pomoci chránit sebe a své osobní informace. Práce se zabývá vrstvami, do kterých je web rozdělen a jeho původem. Dále také vysvětluje, jak k Dark Webu získat přístup za použití prohlížeče Tor, popisuje kryptoměnu Bitcoin a tržiště Silkroad. Na závěr práce uvádí obsah, který lze na Dark Webu nalézt, definuje pojem počítačová kriminalita a předpovídá budoucnost Dark Webu.

Design and implementation of authentication method for accessing web service in PHP language

Bachelor's thesis describes the available principles of authentication for access to Web services. It compares necessary hardware, safety, financial costs, complexity of implementation and difficulty of maintenance and service. The second part deals with the design and implementation of a particular authentication method for access to Web applications in PHP using the MySQL relational database. There is selected the authentication method by SMS code with regards to mentioned characteristics of particular methods. It is also supplemented by the possibility of using a client certificate.

Věra Pilecká The interaction of information science and cognitive sciences with emphasis on information retrieval (dissertation thesis) (Vzájemné ovlivňování informační vědy a kognitivních věd s důrazem na vyhledávání informací) Abstract Focus of this thesis is on the description of the interaction of information science and cognitive sciences with emphasis on information retrieval which is influenced by some of the cognitive aspects. The introductory chapter deals with the definition of information science and paradigms inspired by a cognitive approach (cognitive and socio-cognitive paradigm). Then a cognitive science is defined including its basis, methods and application. In the third chapter, a comparison between information and cognitive science is included, and their interaction and common interests are described. Fourth chapter focuses on information retrieval and influencing factors, including search methods, user information behaviour, and user cognitive characteristics and mental models. The final chapter presents two surveys focused on the use of intuitive and analytical information retrieval styles during searching on Google, and the perception of the differences between traditional and online teaching of the effective reading techniques. Methods for measuring service quality in university libraries: a case study of libraries AMU and JAMU

This thesis examines the issue of measuring the quality of services from a theoretical and practical perspectives. It's trying to define the term quality in the context of library services, particular performance indicators used in practice and try to provide an overview of the possibilities of its measurement in the Czech environment as well as abroad. It describes methods Balanced ScoreCard, Benchmarking, Total Quality Management, ServQUAL and SWOT analysis, which originally came from the commercial sector and Benchmarking of libraries, Bibliotheksindex and LibQUAL +, which were created directly for a field of librarianship. It also maps the various activities in this field at national and international level. The practical part of the thesis consists of a survey in two selected libraries performed on the basis of three selected methods of quality measurement: Benchmarking of libraries, Bibliotheksindex and SWOT analysis. In conclusion of the thesis is based on the information gathered from own experience and practice created a general framework for service quality, the possibility of increasing quality and it's measurement in academic libraries.
