Thinking about a human body which is difficult to acquire Hybrid [Artificial] Autofiction
Čermák, Aleš ; Zálešák, Jan (referee) ; Stejskal,, Jakub (referee) ; Cenek, Filip (advisor)
There is no one in the cave who can die. Let me put that different ly. No one has ever been born and no one has ever died. From this statement, the question arises whether this purely theoretical sta tement can help us in the situation we are in right now. We have to answer the question of whether there is or has been a world without us on the basis of direct embodied experience. I start from the assumption that recognizing oneself as a person can be one of the strangest acts ever. Being attentive and fully present in the space of a given medium is not a choice but a necessity, as well as a positive consequence of the environment in which we are immersed. This means thinking into the body of another world. In this artresearch project, I primarily focus on the research of embodied experience and analysis of morethanhuman forces and actions in the Atlantic Ocean. Through direct embodiment (embodied and situated practice), this work explores at various levels the permeable – seeping boundaries between man and nature. I describe how individual activities are experienced in a sensory way and how this directly embodied knowledge is used in the research (embodied, performative, research and pedagogical) practice itself. Through this artresearch work, I would like to experiment beyond analytical and grammatical description and expand my research towards poetic, aesthetic and creative gestures that express the power and complexity of the elements.

The diploma thesis is focused on city in time and age of artificial lighting. It takes the issue of light pollution as its starting point. The sheets were created in collaboration with Veřejný sál Hraničár (Public Hall Hraničář) as an educational material for the gallery cycle Light. Together with the sheets, a need to widen my knowledge and apply it to a specific situation arose. I picked Obchodní dům Prior and Kulturní středisko Corso (Shopping Mall Prior and Culture Center Corso) in the neighborhood of Krásné Březno for that purpose. The pick of the place directed the development of the themes of the theoretical part of the thesis. The middle part of the thesis is trying to show contemporary city from two essential angles. Firstly, I tried to answer the question about sources of the shape contemporary city has taken upon itself. The rest is focused on building public spaces in regard to their nighttime flow. The final chapter is exploring the object of Corso. At first It is trying to take a look at the context of the city part of Krásné Březno, then it is taking a look at the city part in context of Ústí nad Labem. Anenský dvůr used to be a farm surrounded by fields just a few dozen meters from the Austrian border. It worked even during the fifties before the creation of the Iron Curtain. Agricultural activity slowly subsided, people disappeared. Nature began quietly but ceaselessly, in small portions, getting on its side after the interval division. Buildings and their surroundings started to change. Nature has changed in fifty years place unrecognizable. Clearly defined boundaries are erased, flash greenery spread to the surrounding area and has created a specific single entity defining the surrounding chaos. Such a situation is the basis for the layout of the new cemetery. Current enhanced peripheral borders are strengthened by planting oaks, while the interior is modified. Most of invasive acacia and other shrubs are removed. The original character of the place, floodplain meadow is reinforced by planting new trees, such as birch or cherry.  The new cemetery consists of two main areas - internal groomed lawn under clearly defined square walls, which leads to deposition of ash and vice versa in the outer belt informal grown meadows are individual pavilions cemetery.
