Cooperative education and diversity of pupils

This thesis is focused on issues of inclusive education and diversity of pupils at common basic schools, specifically on the pupils with specific learning disabilities integrated in mainstream schools and using cooperative learning in these classes. The thesis is devided into theoretical part and research part, in the first part there are written up necessary theoretical basis for reasearch part and there are also outlined controversial questions of current school system. Research part is focused on using cooperative learning in classes where children with specific learning disabilities are integrated. Results of research executed at basic schools of Prague and central bohemian region are included.
Integrated education for pupils with special educational needs - casuistic

This bachelor's thesis focuses on integration of pupils with learning disabilities into regular elementary schools. The theoretical part focuses on learning disability - mental retardation, ADHD - attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and education of pupils with learning disabilities. A case study of 13-year-old boy with mental handicap, ADHD and behavioral problems demonstrates the characteristic features of the integration process in the main stream elementary school. It shows the potential as well as limits of inclusive education. Analysis of this case demonstrates the direct dependence of the successful integration on the professional as well as human qualities of teachers.
Students with special educational needs and the school in their life

The work is fosuced on the place of school and education in life of students with special educational needs. Selected seventh class in one of excluded area is describe here with point of view of their social-cultural composition and other characteristics of children who attend it. The method is used primarily semicontrolled conversation about what school means for children, what is the meaning of education for them and what is their daily life and vision of the future about. Using interviews with the class teacher are first determined the individual profiles of all children in the classroom. These profiles are gradually replenished by collecting data using open questionnaires, interviews and documentary material. The result is a qualitative picture of school attendance and children's life in such an specific environment.
Applied theory of inclusive education in primary schools with focus on students with specific learning disabilities

The aim of my thesis is to analyze various aspects of the inclusive teaching concept within the first stages of elementary education and how such aspects may be applied. The work is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is further divided into five main chapters. The first chapter covers the topic of how all students can be included in the elementary education system. The second chapter discusses the key components of how the theory can be implemented and successfully applied to individuals in order to help students achieve their educational goals. The third chapter focuses on topics of special needs education, learning and behavioral disorders. The fourth chapter discusses the necessary role parents and guardians should take in this process. A summary of theoretical part is provided in the fifth chapter. The practical part of the thesis is also divided into four chapters, each of which is numbered and connected to the theoretical part. The sixth chapter defines the objectives of the practical part of my thesis, which are based on various research methods including interviews, surveys and questionnaires. Doctoral thesis titled Posibilities of support for teaching a foreign language to pupils with special educational needs at younger school age responds to the need to change the traditional approach in teaching a foreign language to pupils with specific difficulties. The aim is to create and map out the possibility of the use of the material-support file didactic aids, created to support the adoption of the selected curriculum in the English language for pupils with specific difficulties and verify his contribution in the field of the achieved knowledge, motivation and their active involvement in education. Partial goal is evaluation of the individual tools, which are processed using the multisenzorial approach and are designed to support the adoption of selected grammatical structures of foreign language (English). Life style characteristic of vocational school students (students with special educational needs)

The thesis presents the results of theoretical and empirical study. The thesis deals with primary monitoring of lifestyle of students with special educational needs, the creation of an educational program designed for dormitory of secondary vocational school and the program's impact on quality of life. The work consists of several parts. The theoretical part describes the principles of a healthy lifestyle (healthy eating, physical activity, mental activity), special educational needs, the age period of 15-18 years, secondary vocational school and quality of life. The practical part analyzes the lifestyle of students at secondary vocational school in Soběslav. This part highlights the different attitudes of commuter students and students living in dormitories. The analysis is based on questionnaire my own creation. The results are shown in the graphs. For dormitory of secondary vocational school an educational program "A year in a dorm" was created. The program is aimed at a comprehensive understanding of health and healthy lifestyle. The influence of the educational process on the quality of life we investigated using a standardized questionnaire PedsQl. Data are evaluated by ANOVA and Tukey statistical method. In conclusion we disprove the hypothesis that commuter students have a healthier lifestyle than students staying at the dorms. We confirm the positive effect of educational program on quality of life for boarding students statistically significant in the group of girls. Development of i-CT Framework and Application for Communication of YES/NO Type

This master thesis deals with issues of development of applications for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) in environment of special education for mentally challenged pupils with communication disorders. Thesis presents issues of development contemporary applications and follows on design principles of Computer therapy project, which compliance during the design and implementation should prevent the current issues. The aim of the thesis is creation of application for AAC of YES/NO type and i-CT framework - framework simplifying creation of similar apps for described environment. Both apps works on iOS and Android systems and were tested in an environment of people with mental disabilities.
