Application of marketing in the agriculture

This bachelor thesis deals with the application of marketing in the agriculture. The first part of the thesis is focused on the theoretical knowledge of marketing and the marketing mix area. The practical part is analysis of marketing and marketing mix in agriculture. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to find out if marketing and the marketing mix is used in agriculture and in which way is put into practice. There are propounded the particular recommendations for agricultural cooperative Mořina in the thesis.

Strategic analysis

This work deals with the strategic analysis of Czech agricultural enterprise. It is divided into three parts. The first part describes the theoretical background of this work. There are described methods of external and internal analysis. The second, practical part, is concerned with practical applications of strategic analysis to the specific conditions of the agricultural enterprise. In the third part we can find a synthesis of knowledge from the practical part carried out through the SWOT analysis. In the final chapter recommendations for the future of the enterprise are formulated.

An Analysis of Effectiveness of Grant Subsidies in the Context of the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU. Case Study: A Farm in the Central Bohemian Region

The topic of this bachelor thesis is an assessmment of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the European Union. The most important aim of the work is to analyze an impact of the recently adopted regulations under the CAP seen from the general economic stance. In the first part, the theoretical one, I focus on the analysis of effectiveness of grant subsidies in the agricultural sector. I namely evaluate arrangements of the European Union which are meant for farmers and are generally subject to changes as a consequence of the CAP reforms. The second part of my bachelor thesis might be called the practical one. I describe the situation of a random private agriculturist, carrying out a farm in the Czech Republic. The aim of this case study is an evaluation of certain advantages and disadvantages borne for the time being by an enterpreneur in the agricultural sector in the context of the Common Agricultural Policy.

Food insecurity in developing countries

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to point out that the battle against hunger can be won in our lifetime. However, this problem can not be solved without concerning all connections between undernutrition and other global problems. This thesis contains an analysis of various aspects of health, education, population growth, agriculture or trade which are strongly related to poor nutritional status. The technology, knowledge and resources exist to meet the needs of hungry. As it was revealed in my study, they should not been implemented unless they respect mutual links between different problems.

Eventually, reference calculation of EVA model using Ministery of Industry and Trade model.

The last stage of the land reform in the Mělník county

In my work I will address the political reasons and the process of the land reform that was realised within the collectivization of the Czechoslovak economy after the World War II. In the analytic part of the work I will focus primarily on the 3rd stage of this land reform, which I will try to illustrate on the example of regional development in the Mělník county. Based on my research, I will try to ascertain the political, economical and social impacts of the land reform in the region. The work will rely on published studies, articles and monographs, as well as other published and unpublished (archive) sources. The analysis will also rely on the oral history in the region.

Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union

The diploma thesis gives an outline of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the European Union and the Czech Republic, a member state of the EU. The definitions provided include principles, objectives and the nature and function of the CAP. Individual subchapters contain summary of the reform which the agricultural policy must have gone through throughout its development; also the summary explains the system of how the EU is funding and have funded the CAP in the course of history and today. Further, the thesis dwells on analyzing the agricultural development in the Czech Republic before and after the CAP principles have been applied. The analysis focuses on the agricultural sector from the point of view of employment of labour, soil fund, and selected commodities. Next, the thesis describes the Rural Development Policy in the Czech Republic as outlined and implemented for the period between 2007-2013. The comparative analysis comprises selected products of livestock production carried out in the Czech Republic and in the EU. The last chapter analyzes commodities that include wine and grape-vine, and common agricultural organization of the European wine market, and the Czech wine market itself.
