Use of electronic information resources in the Czech language and literature classes at high schools

This diploma thesis is focused on information education and using electronic information sources in Czech Language and Literature classes at Czech secondary schools. It consists of three parts. The first, theoretical part addresses information literacy in the Czech Republic, national information education policy and contemporary trends in using modern information and communication technologies in the classroom. The second part includes an overview of open online information sources for Czech Language and Literature classes which could be used in the classroom. The thesis also includes an inquiry into the use of electronic information sources in Czech Language and Literature classes at secondary schools. The research was conducted at two general secondary education schools - Jiráskovo gymnázium in Náchod and Gymnázium Broumov. The bachelor thesis Book-reading from the regional library's point of view focuses to find out a level situation of a regional library. The dissertation has 2 parts - part theoretical et research. The theoretical part také note a different point of view during specification of reading and reading literacy. Mention factors by which are readers impressed and contemporary researchs of reading and their results. In the research part analyse the situation of regional library in district Nymburk during the year 2010. Lectures of information literacy in education of history at Dvořákovo gymnázium in Kralupy nad Vltavou

This thesis deals with a concept of information literacy lectures applied to the project-based teaching of history at Dvořákovo gymnázium in Kralupy nad Vltavou. In this thesis are presented and further developed the information literacy requirements for high school students, specified in the "Educational program framework for High schools" (27). These requirements are further developed, based on the information literacy standards published in the USA and the UK. On this basis is formulated a concept of information literacy teaching instructions. This concept results in the formulation of information literacy lessons curriculum and their implementation in the history lessons through project-based teaching method. The whole concept was tested in practice. However, in this thesis is also mentioned the possibility of teaching information literacy in a way of a separate workshop, connected with other school subjects. This method seems to be more suitable, because it allows the inclusion of a wider range of subjects into the workshop's curriculum.

The theme of this doctoral thesis is the gate for free access to the electronic information resources Art On-line at the Library of The Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts /JAMU/ in Brno (see http://knihovna.jamu.cz/index.html or http://dokumenty.jamu.cz/knihovna/eiz). The purposes are analysis and evaluation of the current state of the gate, survey of using information and information services, suggestion of its expansion, suggestion of its organizational and technological innovation and suggestion for completion of electronic information resources. The doctoral thesis consists of seven chapters. The opening part introduces JAMU and the Library of JAMU, the fundamental part presents the gate Art On-line. Chapter 1 The Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno introduces milieu of the art academy. Content optimization of ICT knowledge tests in terms of current requirements for students

This bachelor's thesis is focused on optimizing the content of information literacy tests regard of requirements on university students. The thesis includes analysis of internation requirements ECDL on basic level and qualitative investigatoin by interview with teacher at university. The collected data servers as a base for creating new or modifying existing tasks for student testings. Tasks are not assembled into fixed versions of test, but they are flexible for assembling into random versions of tests. Thesis also include testing two variants of test on a selected group of students, but not with IT specialization.
