Bělinová, Helena ; Vávra, Martin (advisor) ; Šmídová, Olga (referee)
The thesis interprets the ideal of women beauty before and after 1989 in terms of sociological and culture discourse in Vlasta magazine. The key premise of the thesis is the claim that ideal of women beauty differs before and after 1989. It is possible to expect influence of politic system, social structure and culture forms on discourse of women beauty. Character of this thesis is theoretically-empiric. The sociologic gender theory serves as the frame for chosen topic. Research is based on analysis of discourse of women beauty in Vlasta magazine in 1975 and 2005. The goal of overall analysis is to provide series of detailed analysis which describe general magazine topics and role of the magazine in certain historical period beside discourse of beauty. Abstract Drawing
Nováková, Bára ; Zapletal, Aleš (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis consists of five large-format charcoal drawings on paper. The central motif is transformation, its possibilities, forms and ways. The drawings show constant movement and transformation, living matter, the ruling force inherent in the natural elements. The bachelor thesis has an imaginative character and works mainly with abstract morphology. But even though the drawings are abstract, I purposefully work with them in the spatiality and light modeling of objects, as with real things. In a way, the drawings illustrate the processes during which things take shape.
"I am in such a way, I am in". The life story of Pavel Z.
Verhaege, Hana ; Houda, Přemysl (advisor) ; Wohlmuth Markupová, Jana (referee)
A considerable amount of information can be found about Pavel Z., but it is incomplete, his biographical data is listed only vaguely, usually in the form of short medallions. Most pieces about Pavel Z. are mainly written in connection with the so-called process with "Plastic People" or in connection with his artistic work. Mapping the life of Pavel Z., among other things, not just through his words and the testimonies of his close ones, is a probe into the history of a prominent personality, persecuted during the so-called normalization regime in Czechoslovakia and operating abroad, and a look back to his roots. Last but not least, it also represents an example of specific human thinking, and therefore serves as a mirror embedded in contemporary society.
Transformations of chosen ethical issues in jourrnalism in the rise of artificial intelligence
Kunc, Kryštof ; Moravec, Václav (advisor) ; Macková, Veronika (referee)
This diploma thesis aims to describe the transformations in selected ethical aspects of journalism with the advent of artificial intelligence, i.e. in other words to present a list of areas where ethical problems can occur in journalism when media organisations begin to apply artificial intelligence systems. It does so with the help of a synthesis of information from foreign studies that are already dealing with this issue. At the same time, however, it also offers the results of semi-structured interviews with three Czech experts in artificial intelligence, which list other possible changes in ethical aspects in journalism using artificial intelligence. Through synthesis and interviews, we answer questions about which aspects they are and how they change, and the results show that the range of things that will need to be paid attention to when involving artificial intelligence in journalism is varied. Some problems are based on existing ones, some are completely new and unprecedented. The results outline a theoretical framework that can serve as a basis for research into various case studies of this issue.

"...Zeus… of Iscariot" Transformations of concepts and depictions of classical mythology throughout art's history and it's transfer to new generations.
Šik, Jiří ; Čech, Viktor (advisor) ; Bláha, Jaroslav (referee)
In my thesis I focus on classical Greek mythology and its origins and meaning in the life of an individual. The thesis deals with its interpretations, understanding and treatment across various periods in the history of art and on the transformations of classical figures within new contexts, since the antiquity untill the present day. In the didactic part, I present my concept of an educational project intended to mediate the classical myths to the new generations, with the help of important works of Western art as the visual base. Realisation of this project has proven that stuends actualy are eager to learn this subject. The practical part of the thesis describes the potential of modern media for educational purposes and the spread of knowledge of classical mythology. It offers a draft of my educationally-artistic project in the Czech environment, which makes use of this potential. The series of paintings serves as the first step towards the creation of such project. Deepening of knowlidge of classical mythology is instrumental for growth of individual and with him of society. It would be short sighted to push this theme somewhere to the background and forget about it. After all, its representation in art only proves that it was allways source of inspiration.

Hrubanová, Anna ; Klumparová, Štěpánka (advisor) ; Komberec, Filip (referee)

The comic adaptations of Franz Kafka's novella The Metamorphosis will be evaluated based on pre-selected criteria. Part of the work will also be a comparison of the original text with the selected comic adaptation and noting the changes in the fictional world created by transferring it to the comic medium. The work will help teachers to understand the theory of comics. Theoretical knowledge will be applied in the creation of two teaching blocks built for the purposes of literary education at primary and secondary schools. The concrete implementation of both teaching blocks in practice will be compared.
