Angle of arrival calculation methods for localization using UWB technology
Žaludek, Ivo ; Klusáček, Stanislav (referee) ; Havránek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The thesis describes UWB technology, compares available hardware platforms and describes UWB localization methods. The practical part compares the methods of calculating the angle of arrival from the phase difference of signal arrival on the two-element antenna array. The calculation is performed using the analytically obtained arc sine function and also using the look-up table and the polynomial function. The content of the look-up table and the coefficients of the polynomial function are based on the measured characteristics of the UWB receiver (anchor). The best result was obtained using the look-up table. More accurate results were obtained when the phase difference of arrival values were averaged.

Thesis also solve using of localization in local anchor system. Theoretical part describes IEEE 802.15.4 standard, capability of used nodes and describe ways how to use RSSI value to resolve location
Research of Localization Algorithms in Wireless Sensor Networks
Holešinský, Pavel ; Morávek, Patrik (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on research of localization algorithms. Each developed localization algorithms are generally application specific. Because of application requirements diversity, many variants of localization algorithms exist. In case of finding appropriate localization algorithm for concrete application usability, existence of real condition simulation environment is useful. Development of this simulation environment was made simultaneously with both localization algorithms. At first, survey of available localization technic was performed and their summary was listed. Further work was aimed on research of two localization algorithms. Both of them use triangulation mechanism to determine unknown node position. This mechanism is based on measurement of distance to three reference points with known position. It would seem that both algorithms are similar, but simulation shows their difference and presents their suitability for diverse conditions.
Button Search in Forms
Dyk, Tomáš ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
Diploma thesis describes a system for automatic detection of buttons from a screen photo. The system is used together with a robotic arm and a camera to detect buttons on the screens of embedded devices. After detecting buttons on the screen, the algorithm commands the robotic arm to click on the position of the detected button. The algorithm creates a navigation map in which all screens of the device are visible by systematically clicking through all buttons on all screens. For each screen, the positions of the detected buttons and the destination to which the screen points are stored.
Comparison of methods for indoor localization
Povolný, Ondřej ; Rozum, Stanislav (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is in theoretical part focused on the ideas of the localization of people or objects, using the IoT technologies, namely ZigBee and Lora™. The possible methods of localization are mentioned, with the mention of parameters of the used technologies and the overview of existing modules that are obtainable on the market. The result of a practical part is design of PCBs, the basic testing of hardware and software and the analysis of the obtained data.
Location Estimation of Objects in WiFi Communication Network
Kohoutek, Jan ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of the thesis is to design and physically implement a system for location of devices in a Wi-Fi based networks deployed in the interior of small and medium-sized enterprises. First of all, the attention is given to the survey of commonly available technologies suitable for determination of the object position. Then, based on these findings, architecture of a location system comprising an array of sensor nodes and central processing unit is proposed. In conclusion, the results are presented and the fulfillment of the requirements is evaluated.
3D Face Reconstruction
Poulíček, Zbyněk ; Šiler, Ondřej (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
The top of this thesis is 3D face reconstruction by the help the projected regular grid from the 2D image. It also includes the grid detection and the description of methods that are needed to raster image processing. The application was written in C++ programming language, it uses OpenCV graphic library, and also it is designed for OS Windows XP and higher.
Optic disc segmentation in retinal images
System for People Detection and Localization Using Thermal Imaging Cameras
Představujeme metodu detekce a lokalizace osob s pomocí nízkonákladových termálních kamer FLIR Lepton 3.5 a malých počítačů Raspberry Pi 3B+.
