Computer Hardware in ICT Education

This diploma thesis studies teaching of computer hardware with it's main goal set in evaluation of the topic's benefit in curriculum of grammar schools. Key aspects of evaluation are relation of topic to the rest of ICT curriculum and other school subjects, background in relevant curricular documents of Czech republic, students' attitude and expectations in regard of the topic determined by survey and comparison of schools' curriculum to topic's structure in literature. Main outcomes are determination of actual form of teaching computer hardware at grammar schools and recommending way of further development thereof regarding students' needs and motivation and variability of teaching methods available. Comparison of contemporary Czech and Spanish kindergarten

This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of contemporary Czech and Spanish kindergarten, specifically their educational aims, curricula, and other particularities. Thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explains methods used in the thesis and describes legislative of preschool education in Czech Republic and in the Kingdom of Spain. Furthermore, it is focused on the levels of education systems, the schedules of the day and the teaching stuff in kindergartens. Practical part contains direct comparison of curricular documents and particularities of Czech and Spanish kindergartens, which were found based on the questionnaire responses of Spanish kindergarten teachers. Finally, according to this comparison, the differences in the conception of a child are also presented. The thesis includes translation of the curricular document, according to which each autonomous community of Spain creates its own specific curriculum. Initial Education Of Early Years Teachers And The Profession's Needs

The thesis deals with undergraduate training of kindergarten teachers. The aim is to compare the issue of preparation for the profession of kindergarten teacher from different perspectives in historical and international comparisons and reflect and analyze the needs of the profession towards initial training kindergarten teachers on the basis of theoretical concepts and statements from practice. The reaserch aims to analyze the curriculum of initial training kindergarten teachers at selected faculties of education in the Czech Republic, analyze and reflect on meeting the needs of the profession in these faculties and learn how to evaluate their students' level of development of their professional competence at the beginning of undergraduate training and at the end. Research design is a multi-case study. Working with reaserch respondents has a longitudinal character. Methods were used quantitative and qualitative methodology - questionnaire, rating scales, content analysis of documents, interview and focus group. Geoinformatics in secondary school's curriculum

This thesis is focused on the use of geospatial tools in secondary schools in Czech republic. Subject of study are mainly Geographic information systems (GIS) and Remote sensing and their implementation into secondary school curricula. Aplication a research in this area is in the centre of interest of IGU. Previous works showed, that GIS has great potential to contribute to effective learning of geographic concepts, knowledge and GIS can be a tool for display, inquiry and analysis in problem based learning. The main goal is to explore the current state of geoinformatics involvement in teaching in secondary schools and to identify how to develop this condition at all levels of the curriculum (intended, implemented and attained). In order to achieve this general objective in thesis are chosen for each level of curriculum following goals: 1) At the level of intended curriculum we are dealing with two questions: At first, how is geoinformatic's topic presented in national's curriculum of a selected countries. At second, which geoinformatic skills should be acquired by secondary school's students. The present state of listening activities in elementary school music lessons, and didactic suggestions for the integration of these activities in school teaching The thesis looks into the employment of listening activities at contemporary Czech schools. Its primary aim is to boost the motivation of school children to listen to classical music by means of choosing their preferred pieces in music lessons. The thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part analyses available sources connected with listening activities, such as materials for teachers, and textbooks certified by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports as one of possible tools. It looks into the place of listening activities in the contemporary Czech curriculum, and presents also information about listening from the music therapy point of view. The practical part analyses the present situation in the employment of listening activities at our schools. It detects spontaneous preferences of pupils in listening to classical music, and suggests how to use these spontaneous preferences to enhance the quality of music education at school, and build and encourage positive attitude of school children to classical music. Relationship of the secondary schools of pedagogy students to biological curriculum

This diploma thesis deals with the relationship of the secondary schools of pedagogy students to the subject of biology and its particular areas. The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical section. The theoretical section surveys the teaching of biology at the secondary schools of teaching based on the Framework educational program for the specialization in preschool and extracurricular pedagogy and pedagogical lyceum and based on the scholastic educational programs of the schools involved in the research. Further, this section also deals with the teaching of biology based on the Framework educational program for preschool education and based on the scholastic educational programs of kindergarten, afterschools and extracurricular facilities. The practical sections deals with the relationship of the secondary schools of pedagogy students to the subject of biology. This is done by using a questionnaire in which the students evaluate their relationship and readiness within their specialization for the practice with respect to biology as a whole on one hand and with respect to its particular areas on the other hand. Preparedness of Finnish Education System to Curricula Reform

This thesis introduces a topic of current educational reform in Finland. The main goal is to describe a process of implementation of current curricula reform in Finland and evaluate a preparedness of teachers, students of teacher education and management of curricula to curricula reform. In theoretical part, we define "curriculum" and "curriculum reform", then we briefly introduce change management, reasons for successful or unsuccessful reform and specifics of finnish education system. The research part analyses the Finnish National Core Curriculum from 2004 and 2014 in detail. It also analyses interview with teachers, students of teacher education and management of reform. Based on research part of the thesis, we can say that teachers and students have been prepared in a field of knowledge, however they have not been prepared for implementing the ideas of reform into their everyday teaching. The management of reform has been prepared for implementation. Management includes teacher and other stakeholders into creating of the new curricula, the reform is communicated and finances for the reform are secured. Conclusion of the thesis summerize answers for research questions and brings recommendations for a further research.
