Reflexion of the Effect of Group Work in People after a Divorce

This thesis examines the effect of group programme for clients of marriage counselling, who are going / have gone through a divorce, or disintegration of cohabitation (or possibly through other difficult situations connected with marriage, partnership, family …). The first - theoretical- part consists of a summary of the relevant literature related to the topic focusing on stages of divorce. The second part involves a qualitative analysis of eleven interviews with clients - attendants of two cycles of the programme and an analysis of a focus group. The analysis of the interviews has resulted in an individual reflexion of the effects of the programme and an attempt on formulation of efficient strategies of the help during the divorce process with focus on restoration of social integration during the restructuring stage after the divorce. The obtained results show that the clients consider the programme efficient and helpful during adaptation to divorce/disintegration of cohabitation in terms of changing their perspective on the course of their marriage/ partnership and their divorce/break up crisis. Use of psychotherapeutic techniques for changing the attitudes and the relationship of day care centre staff to clients with severe multiple disabilities

This thesis deals with the subjectively perceived problematical relationship between the employees of a day care centre (who are either professional caregivers or teachers) and clients or pupils with severe multiple disabilities. Examining this relationship and other selected problematical situations took place as part of short-term group work project using psychotherapeutic techniques. The group work facilitated a change in the relationship of the day care centre's employees with the clients. The research was conducted with a small group of probands from the Zahrada Integration Centre and from the Zahrádka Elementary School in Prague 3. The following professional methods have been used in the preparation of this thesis: an analysis of the relevant scientific literature, group work with a small group of probands using some elements of psychotherapy, a questionnaire survey, an analysis of records concerning the progression of problematical situations and data analysis of case studies. The findings of this thesis are that group sessions comprising elements of psychotherapy represented a supportive factor in regard to the perception of the problematical relationships of individual probands with their clients. Group and Cooperative Teaching on the First degree of the Elementary School

Main scope of the present diploma thesis is co-operative and group teaching with the emphasis on teaching in the elementary schools. The theoretical part offers an overview of the organizational forms of teaching, defines the concepts of group and co-operative teaching, and presents the basic insight into group and co-operative teaching. The practical part is an action reasearch. The main objective of this part is to verify efficiency of the theoretical procedures and methods of group and co-operative teaching when self-prepared or adopted materials are used in practice. This part also provides a didactical material verified in practice. Furthermore, it concentrates on advantages and disadvantages of co-operative teaching, observes the progress of groups of pupils and that of individual pupils, differences in thinking during co-operative and frontal teaching, relation between co-operative, problematic and explorational approach to teaching. Cooperative forms of learning and their use in the upper elementary school

On the first pages I tried to theoretically process problems of cooperation and its use from different point of view. The main goal of this work was to discover the teachers' and students' approach on cooperative methods. If they consider them as appropriate, useful and funny as it's written in many other publications. I didn't forget to define essential concepts either. Cooperation itself is in the society dealed with many scientific sectors such as sociology, politic science, psychology, even economy, ecology and last but not least didactics and pedagogy itself. The base for my research was to know as many theoretical aspects on cooperative form of teaching. To make mapping of relevant knowledge about cooperative learning and teaching more meaningful, my work includes empiric part, which describes research survey focused on cooperative teaching form and its use on the second grade on the basic school. The crucial goal of research was to find out what opinion on cooperative forms of education do the teachers and students have and what cooperative method do they consider as the most appropriate. Developing of pupils' competence to cooperate

The aim of this thesis is to describe and explain the factors which affect formation and development of pupils' competence to cooperate across all grades of lower primary school. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes various factors which affect pupils' competence to cooperate - on the side of pupil and teacher. The practical part contains the results of research that explains how teacher builds and develops the pupil's competence to cooperate in each grade of lower primary school, which style of teaching supports development of this competence and also how is this competence affected by pupils' developmental prerequisites. This thesis contributes to creation of comprehensive knowledge about the development and building pupils' competence to cooperate and it is supported by examples from pedagogical practise. Free Riding as a Possible Source of Conflict in Group Work

Theme of this bachelor's thesis is problem of free riding (freeloading on work of others) in a group work, the evolution of its effect and impact on the group and its members. I analyze the phenomenon and background in which it is happening in and its possible causes and manifestations with regard to free rider and other members of the group. Also I examine this phenomenon in background of selected students of the Faculty of Management at the University of Economics in Prague. The result is a predominantly negative attitude to free riding and even less or more radical concept of solution. Based on acquired data, opinions of students and theoretical knowledge, I offer recommendations which could help to prevent free riding or partially removed it. Obtain the data to formulate the recomandations via questionnaire and to present them I use a descriptive statistical analysis.
Webquest in German Language Teaching

This diploma thesis deals with the method of webquest and its use in the German language teaching. The theoretical part gives the characteristics of this method, its definition, structure and various kinds of webquest. Then the thesis studies the didactical contribution of the webquest. And finally the thesis is focused on the using of the webquest in the foreign language teaching. The practical part contains the examples of the own created webquests in the German language teaching and it evaluates the lessons where the method of webquest was introduced and implemented (it also evaluates the response of the learners). In conclusion, there are given the links to the completed webquests that can be used in the German language teaching.
The development of creativity of hig school students during a summer camp

This work is monitored from a professional point of view the area of creativity and its development on students during a summer camp. The theoretical part deals with the problems of creativity, its development and leisure activities. Research section includes a comprehensive weekly program that uses various methods to develop creativity, applied on the high school students during the summer camp activities. The aim of this study was to compare the methods used in terms of their impact on human development, teamwork, communication, creativity and degree of its development. This research showed, that the development of creativity in the teamwork brings a lot of advantages. Especially the level of cooperation, inspiration and humour, that is lived in the group together. In this research is showed that different methods for the development of creativity are developing the components of creativity in different degrees.
Comparison of the Group Work in the Czech and Austrian Scouting

This bachalor work deals with the group work in the organisations Junák and PPÖ at the pedagogical level, it means characteristics and comparison of the group work in both of the countries. The first goal of this work is the scout movement, its bring-up-methods in the worldwide organisation and some basic definitions for the group work. The center of my work consists of the description of patrol system, group work methods and means, prove system, programme methods and leader education in the Czech Republic and in Austria. Comparison between these two countries is mentioned as well. Through a comparison I have done conclusion that the group work in the Czech and Autrian scouting have the same basis arrising from the matters of scouting. But there are some essential aspect that makes the group work different from each other.
Educating Gifted Children and Specific Features of Teaching Foreign Languages to Gifted Children

This thesis concentrates on contexts and view-points, that should determinate the character of activities designed for gifted children in foreign languages classes. This work proposes some methods and ways that are convenient for gifted learners. It deals also with the characteristics of the teacher, who is able to conduct the gifted and the characteristics of the gifted in order to devise such activities that satisfy their special cognitive, emotional and social needs.
