Analysis of exercises in reading-books for 9th class of primary school

RESUMÉ The essence of this thesis is to compare selected reading books or workbooks in terms of the accompanying questions and issues. The work is theoretically based on the characteristics of the pubescent reader and also Bloom's taxonomy, classification and results in international tests like PISA etc. The thesis is also examining the readers' literacy. Its definition is changing in time. Literacy is not only focusing on the knowledge, but also plays an important role in integrating into society. It is a complex of several dimensions (relationship to reading, literal understanding, deduction, metacognition, sharing and application). Each of the components is indispensable. Five reading books of the 9th year of elementary school from different publishers (SPN, New School, Fraus, Alter) were analyzed. Two reading books are published by SPN, but each represents a different approach (the older one is based on the school curriculum, newer relates to teaching according to the RVP ZV). It was not a representative analysis of the whole supply of current reading books, but only a selected sample. Analysis of particular reading books is devoted to the general characteristics and context (author, declared associations with RVP ZV, illustrations, general structure of reading book, etc). Comparison of book reviews in pravo and mf dnes in 2002,2006 and 2010 and their impact on readership

A purpose of the Bachelor Thesis Comparison of book reviews in Právo and MF Dnes in 2002, 2006 and 2010 and their impact on readership is to describe and compare literary reviews in two different journals; thereafter to try to identify their influence on the marketability of books. It summarizes the available evidence on the issue of reviews and literary critique in the theoretical part and it also mentions the reading culture and reading surveys. It compares the reviews published in the selected press in the practical part. The content analysis describes this issue first and as second the comparison with the books' titles sales rank, as it is published on Union of Czech booksellers and publishers website. On the base of this comparison, this thesis tries to define the influence of the review in daily newspapers to books sale, and if the readers are influenced by either the positive, or negative review.

Vision of the woman in the Giovanni Verga's veristic works

(anglicky): The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze women figures in veristic prose of Giovanni Verga into account of their behavior and their living. I am going to evaluate their actions and based of this I divide them into several groups according to role that they had occupied. Except of this, in the end, I am going to fine some correlation between women's typology and Verga 's Cykle of Defeated. In theoretical part we define literary stream whose representative is Giovanni Verga, then his four principal veristic Works. I support my statements in based of quotes and paraphrase of secondary literature. In analytical part I am going to introduce each heroine using key moments of their lives. I am going to work by myself to demostrate the biggest possible personal contribution using quotes of primary literature. I confirm my statements using work of Susan Amatangelo called "Figuring Women" subtitled "A Thematic Study of Giovanni Verga's Female Characters", which has influenced me the most. In conclusion I summarize all the knowledge and I divide female characters in universally applied groups.

Literature in the works of theologians - the example of Karl Barth and Rudolf Bultmann

The aim of the proposed Bachelor thesis named Literature in the works of theologians - the example of Karl Barth and Rudolf Bultmann is to assess the significance of German literature in selected works of the aforementioned theologians. In the case of Karl Barth's, the analysis is concerned with the reception of classical German authors (Römerbrief, 1919) and Dostoevsky (Römerbrief, 1922). A separate part is devoted to examining the relevant excerpts from his correspondence with the German writer Carl Zuckmayer towards the end of the theologian's life. In Rudolf Bultmann's cas, the attention is pointed at broader hermeneutic contexts, especially at the relations of culture and religion after the World War I, and Bultmann's reaction to Deschner's criticism of the role of religion from the end of the 1950s, Furthermore, an analysis of a selection of homilies form after the World War I is included, along with a brief characterization the specifics of this particular discourse. Theme of the city in a contemporary fairytail

English resumé This bachelor thesis handles the theme of city (and its displays) in contemporary fairy tail. The thesis is based on Pavel Šrut's writings Lichožrouti and Lichožrouti se vracejí. From this thesis it is obvious, that space is the main element in these tales. As this space is horizontal and vertical, so it is subjective (seen by the characters) and objective. Through the analysis of each space in each book I tried to look into the way of constructing it in books in general. I also tried to analyse the whole writings (focused on the elements and theme of city). As the main result of my findings I consider the fact, that there is a shift (in the sphere of space) between first and second book. The continuing of this shift (possible loop) is expected in next book (or books).This shift is based on significant opposition as well as on their mutual completion. I also tried to summarize the theme of space and city in academic literature.

Language management in the process of reception of literary texts from the perspective of a native and a non-native speaker of the Czech language

This diploma thesis explores the possibility of mapping the reception of a literary text in terms of language management processes and in succession unveils the main differences in the perception of a literary text by a native opposed to a non-native speaker. The first three chapters treat the research methodology, which is based on Language Management Theory, Neustupný's approach to literary criticism through this concrete theory and single elements from formalism and structuralism. The research, which is described in chapters four to seven, focuses on the different moments of noting, evaluation and problem solving strategies realised by two readers of a modern Czech short story (one native and one non-native speaker). These processes are identified and analysed by the means of follow-up interviews. The aim of the thesis is to establish a complex methodology of identifying, describing and interpreting management processes which occur during the reception of a literary text and further to investigate the main characteristics that distinguish this process in the case of a native and a non-native recipient of the text.
