V poslední době se rozšířily příspěvky k problému uprchlíků, kteří v důsledku Mnichovské dohody a mnoha dalších důvodů, ať už politických, rasových, či ekonomických opustili své domovy na území zabraném Německem, Polskem a Maďarskem. Stalo se tak pravděpodobně i v souvislosti s tlakem sudetoněmeckých krajanských sdružení na odškodnění za zabavený majetek po 2. světové válce. Pozornost není upřena jen na ně, ale i na české přestěhovalce ze Slovenska. Obecně mě k tomuto tématu inspirovaly články Miroslava Šišky v sobotním Právu a snaha poznat situaci v mém městě, které leželo na cestě uprchlíků z pohraničí do hlavního města. Důvodem byla také snaha vidět téma s konkrétními aktéry - osobami, které dosavadní obecná literatura, vzhledem ke své podstatě, může velmi těžce zachytit. I proto jsem se rozhodl, směřovat jádro této práce k osvětlení situace v Kralupech nad Vltavou -okresním městě ve středních Čechách, které se muselo ze dne na den vypořádat s přílivem stovek uprchlíků. (Uprchlíkem je pro mě každý, kdo splňoval definici tohoto označení uvedenou v Jednacím řádu Ústavu pro péči o uprchlíky. Se stejným významem používám i další označení hraničáři, či utečenci.) Potential and Limits of Nordic Cooperation

The master thesis searches for the core and character of the Nordic cooperation, especially in the perspective of actorness in international relations. It analyses the geopolitics of Norden and tries to project future development. Constructivist concepts of regional security complexes and brands in international relations is being used in the paper. It concludes that European integration is both the limit and potential of Norden. Nordic model looses its former exclusivity but at the same time it nordicizes a wider region.

Lipid Membranes at the Nanoscale: Single-Molecule Fluorescence Approach

The complexity of cell membranes is far from being only a simple assembly of lipids and proteins separating cells from the surrounding environment. Each of the thousands of different membrane components performs its specific role in cellular functions, since a multitude of biological processes is mediated by membranes. The understanding of the molecular basis of these processes is one of the important aims of current biological research. Our research employing single- molecule fluorescence methods (e.g. FCS, FCCS, FLIM-FRET) has made a contribution to the knowledge of membrane lateral organization or mechanism of membrane fusion. Furthermore, we revealed the mechanism of membrane activity of a small natural compound. As native cell membranes are very complex structures, we performed the experiments on simplified model lipid membranes that allow studying lipid-lipid or lipid-protein interactions at the molecular level in a controlled way. The first part of this thesis deals with the mode of action of a membrane active secondary metabolite didehydroroflamycoin (DDHR). We demonstrated that DDHR is a pore-forming agent and that this activity is influenced by the presence of cholesterol. Bachelor thesis "Image of the Police of the Czech republic in Mladá fronta Dnes and Právo daily newspapers" analyses the way of presentation of the Police of the Czech republic in Mladá fronta Dnes and Právo daily newspapers in a distance of ten years using a content analysis. It explores and compares years of 1996 and 2006 and documents development and movement in the way of imagery of this state institution. The thesis deals with the situation in the Czech society after the year of 1989 from the perspective of police work and theme in its introduction. There are theoreticly described the method of research and its process in further parts and the results analysis in the end of the thesis.

Defects classification

The thesis deals with a concept and creation of classifiers of defects found on continuous production lines. The first part presents an overview of methods used for image classification and a analysis of defects. The main part of the thesis consist of a description of created classifier interface and graphical user interface for classifier. The last part sums up reliability of each implemented classifer.

Frequent comorbidity of mental disorders together with the latest findings in neurobiology have been drawing attention of health professionals over the past years to so- called transdiagnostic factors, including, but not limited to difficulties in emotion regulation and self-compassion. It seems that these factors play a significant role in the etiology of many mental disorders as well as in the maintenance of mental health and well-being. Objectives. The aim of this thesis was to theoretically discuss and scientifically verify the expected relationship between parental emotional warmth in childhood, self-compassion and emotion regulation. Sample and procedure. 440 adult respondents (141 men and 299 women) completed the questionnaire "My Memories of Upbringing"- Short Form (s-EMBU), the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale-Short Form (DERS-SF-CZ) and the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS-CZ) together with several demographic questions in an online survey. Freedom of Speech in the Czech Media Enviroment - Case Studies

The thesis brings complex description of the freedom of speech in the Czech media environment, while answering the research question of what are the limits of the freedom of speech of the media and in the media when the freedom of speech collides with the protection of the personality rights. The thesis is an interdisciplinary study combining media and legal studies. It emphasizes the role of media in the process of realization of the freedom of speech and it also concentrates on the role of case-law of the courts, which is applying the provisions on the freedom of speech. Special attention was paid to the conflict between the freedom of speech and the protection of the personality rights. First, the thesis defines particular elements (principles) of the freedom of speech on the basis of the provisions of the Czech acts, international treaties and previous case-law of the European Court for Human Rights. Then it examines how such principles have been reflected in case-law of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic.
