Optimization of the digitron testing process
Stuchlík, Lukáš ; Valach, Soběslav (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the optimization of a nixie aging machine in order to increase its reliability. In the introductory part of the thesis, an analysis of the current state of the machine is made, describing its unreliable operation and related problems in the production process. Based on this analysis, specific modifications in both hardware and software areas have been proposed. The main changes were the change of topology for current control and the addition of necessary components or complete circuits. These modifications were then implemented, which included the fabrication and testing of new printed circuit boards (PCBs) and the implementation of new firmware. In conclusion, it is confirmed that the modified machine exhibits reliable operation for the purposes of actual aging, but further requires minor modifications.
Demonstration tasks of computer vision on a CNC milling machine
Duda, Pavel ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Janáková, Ilona (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the integration of computer vision into CNC machines in order to demonstrate the practical application of this technology. The task is to design several demonstration tasks to test and implement the various computer vision algorithms and subsequent data processing to control a CNC milling machine. In conclusion, we find an evaluation of the results and possible alternative steps to fulfill the problem.
Optical and mechanical tracking of a moving object
Chaloupka, Radim ; Zemčík, Tomáš (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a pan-tilt platform with a camera, the design of controllers for its control, and the design and implementation of algorithms for the detection of predefined, moving objects. The task of the system is to find the object on the scene and maintain its position so that it is always in the center of the image sensor. The work uses the C++ programming language and Raspberry Pi hardware. PS and PSD controllers designed by the Ziegler-Nichols method are used for pan-tilt platform positioning, and interest point detection methods implemented in OpenCV libraries are used for optical tracing.
System for tracking and classification of objects in the sky
Franka, Jakub ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Janáková, Ilona (advisor)
This work deals with the use of computer vision in the field of detection, tracking and classification of flying objects in a real environment. The goal is to create a robust system, capable of working effectively in adverse conditions and accurately identifying different types of objects in the sky. The work progresses from theoretical foundations, choice of methods, to the design and implementation of a computer vision system.
Automation of the digitron testing process
Říha, Radim ; Valach, Soběslav (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on automation of the nixie tube burn-in process. It was created to solve the problems of the current burn-in machine used in the company Dalibor Farny, which manufactures nixie tubes and nixie tube clocks. The thesis first introduces the reader to nixie tubes, their construction, and principles. This is followed by an evaluation of the current state of the burn-in machine and a proposal for an automated solution. Then the new machine design, construction and software development will be carried out. Finally, the achieved results will be evaluated.
Easter eggs scanning module
Pitrun, Tomáš ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the design and implementation of a preparation for scanning the museum's collection of Easter eggs. A monochrome line scan camera combined with RGB lighting and stepper motor is used to capture the Easter eggs. The control of the whole fixture is solved by using an Arduino Mega microcontroller in combination with the developed PCB. The data from the camera are processed in software on a PC using Matlab. Finally, a 3D model of the easter egg with the scanned texture is created using the Processing library.
Stereo reconstruction of vehicles' cross section
Boch, Jan ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the design of a stereo system for processing vehicle images and subsequent reconstruction of their 3D model. The aim of the thesis is to reconstruct the vehicle model to control its dimensions and load on which restrictions are imposed in case of the use of critical transport infrastructure (tunnels, bridges). The thesis begins with a mathematical description of scene capture and continues with a research of theoretical possibilities of system configuration. One Intel RealSense 3D camera and one RGB camera were chosen as the most suitable configuration. The software solution works with the design of several different algorithms of which it is worth mentioning reconstruction using depth maps or triangulation. The resulting models in the last chapter contain data only from the aforementioned 3D camera. The model from the 3D camera could not be improved with the images from the RGB camera and camera can therefore be declared redundant. Resulting 3D model is still sufficient for the purpose of vehicle inspection and in case of continued work, another, more optimal configuration should be designed.
Tutorial for autonomous driving
Strašil, Vojtěch ; Zemčík, Tomáš (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This thesis is devoted to the design of a teaching aid for autonomous driving intended primarily for second grade primary school students and secondary school students. The aim of this work was to create a robot that is able to move autonomously along a line or in a lane that is formed by two lines, based on data obtained from a camera sensor. The thesis deals with the design of the mechanical part of the robot, the control electronics and the software. The mechanical basis of the robot is formed by an RC car that has been modified with parts printed on a 3D printer. The control electronics is a Raspberry Pi version 4 single board computer, which is complemented by an Adeept Robot HAT. Most of the necessary peripherals are then connected to this extension. The operating software was written in Python and several use cases were created as part of the work. These examples include line recognition algorithms as well as a PSD controller.
Device for the traffic situation evaluating
Gábel, Matej ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Janáková, Ilona (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the implementation of a device for evaluating the traffic situation, specifically by traffic signs detection. In this work, I tried different methods of traffic sign recognition, where the resulting implementation on hardware is done using convolutional neural networks. More precisely, it is the YOLOv5 architecture, which is suitable for recognizing traffic signs in real time.
Approximation of functions determining colony activity using neural networks
Nevláčil, Jakub ; Ligocki, Adam (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
Bees as a primary pollinator are an indispensable contribution to global agriculture and food production. However, their numbers have been constantly declining in recent times, primarily due to climate change, parasites or the effect of pesticide use. Understanding their behavior and reliably determine their activity and health could significantly prevent or slow down their decline. That is why this work deals with the development of a device for the acquisition of useful data from beehives, which could be used to determine the activity and health of the bees. Furthermore, this work deals with analysis of the accumulated data using machine learning methods with an emphasis on determining the activity and health of the bees.
