Prevention of obesity in dogs
Listíková, Jana ; Rajmon, Radko (advisor) ; Marie, Marie (referee)
Summary Obesity is a serious condition that brings many health risks and the attendant reduction of the quality of the dog's life. For those reasons, it is important to prevent obesity and to focus on its prevention, which is full responsibility of the owner. The owner should therefore have enough appropriate information about the basic needs of their dog's diet, its natural behavior, and its need to move. The veterinarians play an important role in that . The aim of this work is to cover the issue of obesity in dogs with the help of research and a questionnaire survey. A part of the aim is to map how owners and breeders cooperate with veterinarians, if/how they are informed about their dog's nutrition, whether they focus on preventing obesity in their dogs, or what they do if their dog is already overweight. The questionnaires helped evaluate four hypotheses: 1) The dogs whose owners haven't discussed the dog's weight with their veterinarians (while the veterinarians have not offered any consulting about nutrition) suffer from obesity more than others. 2) The dogs whose owners actively focus on obesity prevention suffer from obesity less than others. 3) The dogs who have access to food ad libitum and at the same time their daily activity is less than 1 hour suffer from obesity more than others. 4) The dogs who are fed industrially processed food and whose owners prefer price to quality when choosing food suffer from obesity more than others. Altogether, 161 questionnaires were filled in and subsequently evaluated. The respondents comprised both males and females of all ages who owned dogs of both sexes and various breeds and ages. This sample of respondents confirmed the first two hypotheses. The other two hypotheses have not been statistically confirmed. Twenty percent of the dogs were categorized as overweight or obese. Overall, the questionnaires showed that in most cases, those respondents trust their veterinarians, they pay attention to prevention and also share the veterinarian's opinion on their dog's condition. On the other hand, the questionnaires also showed that the veterinarians could be more proactive. Even among the dogs of the above mentioned respondents, there were overweight or obese dogs. Obesity is a hot issue and these days, it is considered a disease. Its prevention should therefore be crucial.

Data Governance Implementing Method
Slouková, Anna ; Slánský, David (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
This thesis refers to Data Governance issue and the way of implementing this program. It is logically devided into two parts -- theoretical and practical one. The teoretical part represented by first chapter summarises actual findings about the Data Governance program, it explains what is hidden behind the term Data Governance, cause for Data Governance initiatives emergence, it itemizes particular parts of which the program is composed and basic, mostly software tools, that are necessary for successful program run. Practical part consists of second and third chapter. The second chapter contains enumeration of various types of outputs that grow up either during the implementation of program or in its run itself. It categorizes and deals in detail with processes and activities, organizational structure of the program, dokuments, used metrics and KPIs and IS/IT tools. Third chapter describes the process of implementing the program into an enterprise in detail. It is devided into four consequential phases -- assessment of current state, design, implementation and run of the program. In every chapter, there are inputs, outputs, detailed decomposition into particular activities with references to document tepmlates that are used during theese activities, risks and resources introduced. In two attachments of this thesis, there are two helpful documents -- general document teplate and teplate of a role description -- that serve to better implementation of Data Governance program.

The main aim of my diploma work called "Creative Techniques in Supervision", which is divided into two parts, is creating of a practical manual containing art-therapeutic techniques that can be used in supervision. This work is dedicated to all supervisors who are originally not art-therapist but despite this fact want use this way of work. The first part of my work is an introduction of the art-therapeutic method that (with the use of technical literature) deals with definitions of special terms. This part is dedicated to the theoretical knowledge and is also filled up with my own knowledge and experience from the field of the art-therapeutic praxes. It is actually a foundation for the second part of my diploma work that contains concrete techniques that can be used in supervision. The second part of my work contains a list of twenty creative techniques - methods of work - that are suitable for the individual, group or team supervision. All the techniques are proceeded according to one schema. It means that in all techniques are mentioned theirs goals, forms, technical severity, supposed time, procedure and also possibly risks. Each technique dispose of needed helpful realisation tools. Enclosure of my diploma work contains several casuistic including photo-documentation.

Zíka, Vojtěch ; Wolák, Radim (advisor) ; Fišerová, Sylvie (referee)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to discover what role the SNS (Social Network Sites) and the Internet play in lives of today's teenagers. Primarily, how much time this age group devotes to those phenomenons mentioned above, what importance it assignes to them and what attitude teenagers, their parents and teachers assume to risks bound to life in an online world. The theoretical framework of the thesis is based on, apart from setting this topic into the historical context of the evolution of the Internet and SNS, most importantly on the work of danah boyd, Sonia Livingstone and Zeynep Tufekci. There are, among others, distinguished the types of SNS, analysed the reasons for using the SNS, described the most frequent risks associated with use of the Internet, but also clarified some of the rumours and myths usualy connected with the online world. Moreover, in the theoretical part I introduce the actual deviding of SNS according to the extent of anonymity of the users of Anonymous SNS, Quasi-Anonymous SNS and Non-Anonymous SNS. This deviding is based on the application of internal institutions according to Stefan Voigt in the Internet environment. The research part, based on a quantitative survey (n=543), analyses the situation of the Czech teenagers studying at secondary grammar schools in...

Oxidative stress, microinflammation and cardiovascular risk in patients with chronic kidney disease
Hodková, Magdalena ; Kalousová, Marta (advisor) ; Průša, Richard (referee) ; Racek, Jaroslav (referee)
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients are at a significantly higher risk of atherosclerotic complications when compared to the general population. Oxidative stress and the related chronic microinflammation are possible causes of this increased cardiovascular risk, which is most pronounced in patients undergoing chronic haemodialysis (HD) treatment. Oxidative stress in HD patients can be further increased by routine pharmacological interventions (especially by intravenous - i.v. iron preparations administration). The aim of the thesis was to investigate neutrophil respiratory burst and some molecules related to oxidative stress and chronic inflammation - pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPPA), advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP), C-reactive protein (CRP), intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and E-selectin during HD session and to find out whether they can be pharmacologically affected by i.v. ferric sodium-gluconate and oral vitamin E administration. We focused on studying PAPP-A in chronic renal disease (CKD) patients, patients treated with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) and chronic HD patients. We have observed that HD patients' neutrophils are primed to generate greater quantities of superoxide than those of healthy controls. This production decreases during HD and...

Respiratory physiotherapy - part of a comprehensive treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy patients
Vargová, Zuzana ; Smolíková, Libuše (advisor) ; Slováčková, Lenka (referee)
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a progressive muscular disease. This serious disease attacks not only the musculoskeletal system, but also the respiratory system. Respiratory system is one of the most influenced systems. The risks of respiratory problems increase with deteriorating condition of the patient due to muscle weakness. This work is focused on treatment of respiratory system. The aim of treatment is early prevention and solving of complications. These complications include not only scoliosis and cardial problems, but mainly inefficient cough, night hypoventilation, irregular night breathing and failure of respiratory system even during the day. The aim of the respiratory physiotherapy is to keep the right functionality of lungs for the longest time and to choose the correct method of the rehabilitation following the patient's condition deteriorating. Interventions suitable for the patients with the DMD are techniques that leads to increasing lung volume, manual and mechanical techniques of assisted coughing, and noninvasive ventilation. NIV is one of the preferred methods of treating nowadays. Another method is continual invasive ventilation and ventilation with tracheostomy. This treatment includes keeping hygiene of the airways, which is the basis for their throughput. The work also includes...
