Organic agriculture and consumption of organic foodstuffs in the Czech Republic

The master thesis deals with the organic farming and the organic food consumption, not only within the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the master thesis, characterizes this dynamically developing industry, subsidy policy, legislative page and describes each of the production and non-productive functions of organic farming. It also presents the action plan for the following years, in which the sector should take. On approaching the definition of the concept of organic foodstuff, its specifics, the essentials of marking, control system and forms of sale. Finally, it deals with comparison of nutritional values of organic food and conventional food and also organic food consumption itself on the domestic market, with a forecast for the next years. Filling the empirical part is a statistical comparison and analysis of time series of organic farming, to which are added the individual predictions for the following four years. Furthermore, the practical part, respectively the consumption of organic food, supplements the statistical analysis of data obtained from an anonymous questionnaire survey concerning the preferences of consumers in matters of purchasing and consumption of organic food. Conclusion of the work is devoted to a summary of the data from the questionnaire investigation and proposing recommendations for organic farming and the Czech organic food market.

Establishing a Marketing fund in the Czech Republic to support the agricultural and food sector

The thesis deals in its theoretical part of the Czech food market - their promotions and opportunities for improvement in the context of establishing the Marketing fund with the insipration taken from the Austrian and German models. It shows some of the proven mechanisms of applied Wine Fund of the Czech Republic. A separate chapter is devoted to the Federation of the Food and Drink Industries of the Czech Republic, which its 20 years of history inseparable part of the food market and one of the main promoters of establishing a Marketing fund in the Czech Republic. Other chapters are devoted to the Austrian model of Marketing fund (Agramarkt austriacus AMA) which works flawlessly since Austria's entry to the European Union and analysis of implementation of the Fund in the Czech environment.

The Consumer dispute resolution

The thesis deals with the consumer dispute and ways how to resolve it. The main aim of this thesis is to analyze and evaluate if disadvantages of court proceeding in the Czech republic still overweight its advantages, and thus whether the topic of alternative disputes resolution of consumer disputes is actual, then to give an overview and evaluation of alternative disputes resolution for consumer dispute which the Czech republic offers in the context of Community Law of the European Union, and finally to outline the development of future initiatives in this area.

Theory and practices of the system of regional self-government in the Czech Republic - the South Moravian region (a case study)

My graduation thesis deals with the theory and practices of regional self- government units in the Czech Republic. It analyses its functions as they were drawn up at the turn of millennium. The graduation thesis consists of two parts. The first theoretical part deals with the function of regional self-government units in general. After a brief description of the history of these units on the Czech territory - with focus on discussions on the establishment of higher self-governmental units in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic after 1993 - a theoretical framework of the regional self-government units is described in the chapters and sub-chapters. I discuss the problems of functions and competences of regional bodies (the Regional Assembly, the Regional Committee, the President and the Regional Services) and relations among them. The information resources of the first part were especially the Law No 129/2000 Coll. on regional self-government units and a number of scientific publications of legal and political science literature. In addition, there are discussed tasks of regional elections according to the Law No 130/2000 Coll. on elections to the regional assemblies and in respect of results of regional elections in 2000 and 2004. Analysis of railway station restaurants in Prague and surroundings

The thesis focuses on the very particular phenomenon of railway station restaurants in the territory of the Czech republic. Firstly, it defines terminology and proceeds to classification of various railway station restaurants. It continues with a short glance at history of the railway station restaurants as relics of former coaching inns and studies transformation of its role in society. The thesis is also concerned with legislative background of these restaurants. Following part tries to answer the question about their sustainability and viability and tries to see their possible future. Practical part shows us the state of contemporary railway station restaurants these days in Prague and surroundings. It delves into the problems which their owners face and aims to find reasonable proceedings. It applies the data from theoretical part on the particular restaurants and gathers rough economic entries. The text is accompanied with image appendices and photos. The data from the field research are used in a tab and map to achieve easier comparison and analysis.

The bachelor thesis is focused on issues of the common agricultural policy. Theo-retical part describes this policy, its history, tasks, principles, targets, reforms and funding. It also describes Czech Republic's agriculture and summary agriculture of others member states. The practical part compares agriculture of EU member states in agricultural readiness and in economic aspect. The states are divided into groups.

Comparing the influence of agrarian parties of Czechoslovakia and Finland in 1917-1929

Na konci první světové války po rozpadu Rakouska-Uherska a carského Ruska se v Evropě zrodila řada nových států: například Finsko, pobaltské země, Polsko, Československo, Maďarsko a Jugoslávie. Tyto nově vzniklé subjekty, ale i země spadající mezi poražené, se snažily zachovat si zprvu převážně demokratický ráz a plurální politický systém, ačkoliv ten se u každé dané země lišil, jak svým vlastním historickým vývojem, tak i tehdejší vnitrostátní situací a vyspělostí té dané občanské společnosti. Demokracie však s postupem času byla nucena soupeřit s dvěma extrémními hnutími, jejichž vliv na společnost nabýval na síle, byly to fašismus a komunismus. Pouze země s dlouholetou tradicí politických stran a uvědomělou občanskou společností měly možnost se tomuto zlu ubránit. Jednu z hlavních rolí v tomto zápase hrály mimo jiné i agrární strany, které se snažily udržet demokratický řád ve svých vlastních zemích. Československo můžeme v tomto případě považovat za úspěšné, neboť tradici první republiky ctíme jako období upevnění demokracie a hospodářského rozkvětu. Bohužel další osud nebyl k naší republice již tak příznivý.

The Comparison of the International Criminal Courts ad hoc and ICC

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of international criminal judiciary -- in particular it compares international criminal tribunals ad hoc with the International Criminal Court. In three chapters there are introduced at large the single courts: International Court for the former Yugoslavia, International Court for Rwanda, Special Court for Sierra Leone and the permanent International Criminal Court. There is analysed their agenda and functioning, or the participation of the Czech Republic in these institutions is mentioned. The thesis also contains a short essay in the case study form, which is solved differently by various courts.
