This bachelor's thesis examines motherhood in women with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The aim of the thesis is to explore how mothers with autism spectrum disorder experience motherhood. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter introduces autism spectrum disorder, its definition, manifestations, and autism spectrum disorder in women. The second chapter focuses on the topic of motherhood, its basic definition, and selected psychological and interpersonal aspects. The last chapter deals with motherhood in women with ASD and presents the results of previous research on this topic. The empirical part of the thesis describes the conducted qualitative research. The research goal, main research question, and five sub-research questions were determined. The research was conducted through semi-structured interviews with five mothers with autism spectrum disorder. The collected data were analysed using the method of thematic analysis. Four main themes emerged from the interviews with the participants: me as a mother, relationship with the child, challenges of motherhood, and support in motherhood. Each theme included several sub- themes. The research findings indicate that motherhood is challenging for women with ASD, but also brings positive aspects to...

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of respite care for people with disorders within the autism spectrum. The aim of this work is to emphasize the importance of this service, to raw near the content, the process, and the principles used to make the respite stay acceptable for clients with these diseases. This work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theory deals with characteristics, current approach, and terminology of autism spectrum disorders. Furthermore, it includes the etiology and triad of problematic areas as well as other symptomatic of ASD. It touches upon the diagnostics and classification of these diseases. It also deals with the families of children suffering from an autism spectrum disorder, the social services law, respite care and it includes general information about the organization of APLA Jižní Čechy, z.ú., where I conducted the survey research for the practical part of this work. The aim of the practical part of this bachelor thesis is to point out the importance and the principle of respite care targeting its contents, use, and the availability of lightning services for individuals with ASD. In order to achieve the goal, I chose qualitative research. To collect data, I created four versions of semistructured interviews - for clients with ASD, parents of the clients, personal assistants of respite care, and the service manager of APLA Jižní Čechy, z.ú. A part of the data collection was direct and involved observation during stays conducted on the premises of a Psychiatric hospital in Opařany. The survey research arises that respite care for people with autism spectrum disorder is very important, significant, and beneficial, nonetheless, it is not very widespread. This Bachelor thesis deals with raising a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Its primary focus is an impact of ASD diagnosis on raising a child and secondary it also introduces the basic principles of intervention, which are broadly used in raising a child with ASD. It also attempts to provide a more comprehensive view of the ABA intervention, which provides individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) an additional option in their educational process. The work is divided into four parts. The first chapter characterizes autistic spectrum disorder and its classification. Connectome in Autism spectrum disorders
Hrašková, Markéta ; Zemková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Mlčková, Marie (referee)
This theoretical thesis covers the issues of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in relation to the brain connectome research. ASD belong to the group of neurodevelopmental syndromes and are characterized by deficits in communication skills, social interaction and stereotypic behaviors. The prevalence of ASD increases, its etiopathogenesis is very likely multifactorial. Within the ASD syndrome, precise differential diagnostic algorithms are difficult to implement in the absence of objective biomarkers. Extensive neuroscientific research, including the connectome projects, might improve the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the field of Psychiatry, including ASD. The individual's connectome profile might well serve as a new biomarker in psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. The brain connectome represents the net of all neuronal connections in the brain. Mapping of the connectome across all ages, in health and in disease, is the main goal of the Human Connectome Project (HCP). The first HCP data show great interindividual variability with the environmental factors playing a crucial role. Extensive neurobiology research data on mechanisms of memory support the vital role of environmental stimulation in compensating for behavioral symptoms in ASD. Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is an...
