TITLE: The Bečovská Botanical Garden as a Space for Education of Nursery Schools Children and Pupils of Elementary Schools ABSTRACT: The thesis titled The Bečovská Botanical Garden as a Space for Education of Nursery Schools Children and Pupils of Elementary Schools focuses on the use of this place for various forms of teaching and learning. I focused on the opportunity for tours and educational programs for natural history and botany in elementary school and kindergarten in the natural environment of the beautiful West Bohemian town in the restored botanical garden. In this work was carried out a short questionnaire survey amongst teachers who have visited Bečov's botanical garden with their students. Based on the processing of the questionnaire survey, I found out what would be appropriate to add to the educational tutorials and I created a worksheet and suggested activities that could be incorporated into various educational programs. I found out what options to various naturalistic activities the Bečov's botanical garden provides, where the teachers and students who have visited it are from, whether the teachers are satisfied with its teaching programs and whether the visit helped to create or consolidate respect for nature (for plants, animals, forests, lakes, meadow) and understanding the study that...

Elementary environmental and pedagogical notions, teaching methods, and reasons for the environmental education are clarified in the theoretical part. Usage of econarotology in practise
Kandriková, Anna ; Rynda, Ivan (advisor) ; Kulich, Jiří (referee)
In the eighties of the twentieth century society returns to narrative, which is known as "narrative turn". In connection to that started to develop the so-called interdisciplinary narratology in the nineties, from which as a subdiscipline is based a new field econaratology. The theoretical part of the thesis shows where the field has its roots in the context of literary theory of narrative and environmental education. Econaratology is a field that examines the potential of stories for the development and realization of environmental education's topics. It uses stories through which it develops environmental sensitivity, meets the objectives of environmental education and develops inner motivation of students to take care of the nature. The practical part of the thesis introduces the specific use of econaratology in practice. In a qualitative study were used semistructured interviews with the persons of selected environmental education centers and selected forest pedagogues. The aim of the research was to understand the question of how the selected centers do work with the narrative method. Keywords: environmental education, econaratology, environmental education centre, forest pedagogy, narrative theory, story, narration

Kolářová, Marta ; Jančaříková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Andreska, Jan (referee)
Starting point. Voluntary simplicity is a form of lifestyle. Its typical feature is selection intensity in all areas of human life. Severity of voluntary simplicity lies in self-control of consumer behavior in the daily confrontation with the media pressure, which is oriented at a high rate of consumption. The task of this thesis was to find out if people raised in voluntarily simple families keep living this way, or if they turned away from this lifestyle and joined the high consumption society. Methods and results. Research included 40 respondents who met the requirement that voluntary simplicity was part of their upbringing. Addressed were people from alternatively living groups (preppers, ecovillages, macrobiotics, minimalists, forums dedicated to maternal education and child care, and other groups possessing forums on an alternative way of life of voluntary simplicity). The investigation was conducted by a questionnaire which was distributed electronically among respondents. We found that 13 out of 40 respondents (32,5 %) fully met our stated profile of voluntary simplicity. Relative frequency of responses from all respondents that meet the requirements of modest behavior amounted to 74,3 %. Hypothesis H1 predicted that the influence of upbringing in a voluntary simplicity will make respondents prefer...
