Risk Related to Selecting a Supplier Using Fuzzy Logic
Sedláková, Klára ; Weiterová, Monika (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of models for evaluation of suppliers and their possible risks for a retail food business. Supplier risk is evaluated using fuzzy logic. Models are created in Microsoft Excel and MATLAB. At the beginning of the thesis is the problem defined in the theoretical framework, which is followed by the analytical and practical part of the thesis with proposals for solution of the problem.

Management of one chosen international sporting event of softball held during the coronavirus pandemic.
Sedláková, Klára ; Čáslavová, Eva (advisor) ; Crossan, William Morea (referee)
Title: Management of the international sport event in softball at the time of the covid pandemic Objectives: The goal of the study is to elaborate the specific measures and recommendations how to improve in future the management of the international softball events in the Czech Republic based on the management evaluation of the Junior Women's Softball European Championship U-18 and to point out the impacts of Covid-19 on the organization of the specific international event and to find out the effective answers to them for future. Methods: The study used the method of both qualitative and quantitative data researches. The qualitative research was conducted as a structured interview with the main organizer of the event. The quantitative research was done with use of a marketing research, namely the method of the Brady model of service evaluation, in a form of questions targeted on service evaluation of the event by the participants (primary data collection). The quantitative research of this thesis was further composed of the results of own unparticipated observation. Next, the method of the SWOT analysis was used. The secondary data collection was conducted as an analysis of the specialized texts on management and project management of the sporting event. Results: The results of the study provide a...
Model of error covariances for the assimilation of radar reflectivity into a NWP model
Sedláková, Klára ; Sokol, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Zacharov, Petr (referee)
MODEL OF ERROR COVARIANCES FOR THE ASSIMILATION OF RADAR REFLECTIVITY INTO NWP MODEL Predicting events with a severe convection is not easy due to the small spatial scale and rapid development of this phenomenon. But being able to predict such events is important in view of the dangerous phenomena that accompany these events, such as flash floods, strong winds, hailstorms or atmospheric electricity. Improved forecast can be achieved by more precisely defined initial conditions that enter the model. These data must match the scale of the studied phenomenon. Therefore, radar data is used in this case. Although the NWP model should describe real processes due to the simplifications and approximations the model's behavior does not entirely correspond the reality. Therefore, if we want the model to generate precipitation, we must ensure that the values of the model variables and their relationship are such that the process is started. To find out these relationships, we want to use a covariant model. In this paper, we focused on the correlation analysis of the model variables in the regions of convection between radar reflection, its conversion to the intensity of precipitation and other model variables. The COSMO data with a horizontal resolution of 2.8 km were used, which were describing approximately...
Road to Respect: Reason for Migration to Germany from the Perspective of Future Graduates of Prague Medical Faculties of Charles University
Sedláková, Klára ; Čada, Karel (advisor) ; Šanderová, Jadwiga (referee)
This master thesis deals with the topic of migration of the fresh graduates from Czech Republic to Germany. By means of a qualitative research the decision and reasons to migrate are presented in this thesis like a natural strategy of reaction on decline of an actual situation of young doctors in the Czech health system. The research shows an important role of the non-financial motivating factors. The central topic of research became the social status, especially the prestige and related respect. The reasons for migration are introduced with the theoretical help of the Push and pull factors theory. The understanding of the strategy of decision to migrate as a natural process is related to the theory of Exit, voice and loyalty of Albert Hirschman. The research is based on a series of semi-structured interviews with participants who intend to migrate after the graduation. Since this thesis is focused on the perspective of the main actors of the phenomenon, the migrants, it introduces the diversity of their attitudes to the reasons for migration. The main finding is the importance of the role of respect in the particular everyday situations, which is reflected in the several of ascertained types of motivating factors to migrate. The research also discovered the particular meanings of the motivational...
The group buying phenomenon - factors leading to it's popularity and consumer position on the daily deals market from the user perspective
Sedláková, Klára ; Soukup, Petr (advisor) ; Balážová, Eva (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on a phenomenon of group-buying on daily deals websites, especially then on the factors leading to it's popularity and the consumer position on the daily deals market. The topic is viewed from the user perspective, which the author tries to get to by way of a qualitative research. The author relies on the sociological theory of the consumer society in which she tries to find the roots of the successfully spreading of popularity of the discused phenomenon. As well author draws on there the theoretical background for a topic of consumer position on the daily deals market. Causes of spreading out are researched by a force of an exploration of motivation factors leading users to buy there. On that account there are as well described the theoretical conceptions of motivation and needs in brief. Author conducted a series of semistructured interview in which she emphasised the meanings that the users attach to the particular action. The analytical part of thesis connects main causes of spreading out of phenomenon, theoretically grounded in the theories of consumer society, with a typical aspects of this rather new way of internet shopping and consequent consume. The second topic, the own consumer-user view on their position on this market, is discused as well there.
Memory for nonverbal material in patients with mild cognitive impairment
Sedláková, Kateřina ; Kulišťák, Petr (advisor) ; Stehlík, Luděk (referee)
Patients with amnestic type of mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) are diagnosed mainly on the basis of performance in verbal memory tests. This thesis deals with the use of a nonverbal test called the Brief Visuospatial Memory Test-Revised (BVMT-R) for the diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment (MCI). This research compared the performance of patients with clinical diagnosis of MCI (N=79) using the BVMT-R with the performance of these patients using the Auditory Verbal Learning Test (AVLT), the AVLT being a validated instrument for differentiating aMCI patients from healthy control patients. Both tests follow a similar design paradigm, but they differ in the type of stimuli measured: the BVMT-R tests memory for nonverbal material and the AVLT tests for verbal material. Results showed that there is a moderate correlation between scores (total score, delayed recall score) of the BVMT-R and equivalent scores of the AVLT. Further analyses of performance of MCI patients in both tests (in total scores and delayed recall scores) identified that there was a proportion of patients tested using the BVMT-R with memory impairment that did not show any memory impairment using the AVLT. Our findings indicate a favorable diagnostic potential of BVMT-R in the diagnostics of mild cognitive impairment. Keywords:...
Marketing Research of the Skechers Brand Value Perception
Sedláková, Klára ; Janák, Vladimír (advisor) ; Štědroň, Bohumír (referee)
Title: Marketing Research of the Skechers Brand Value Perception Objectives: The aim of this study is to determine, with the use of the marketing research, how the (Skechers) brand is perceived by athletes; and then, based on the research results, to propose measures for increasing brand awarness, its popularity and marketability. Methods: Methods used in the work were following: marketing research in the form of an electronic survey (quantitative method, primary), method of data collection and their analysis (secondary) Results: From the results of the resesarch we can conclude that the products made by Sketchers are percieved by the users as affordable, comfortable and resistant. As far as their assets are concerned, we can list a quality of their products and used special technology. Hovewer, the company doesn't seem to be percieved neither as extraordinary, unexpendable nor fashionable. Keywords: brand, perceived value, marketing research
