Medial coverage of cross-country World Championship 2016 by ČTK and servers mtbs.cz, aktualne.cz and iDNES.cz

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the information service provided by the media during World championship in cross-country in Nové Město na Moravě 2016. Cross-country is a progressive olympic discipline which is attracting more and more audience around the world. Throughout its history, we could see many changes in its rules which are affected by the new technologies, like shortening racing time, and also changes in expectations of the fans who want to watch faster and more difficult style of racing than the decade before. The thesis also concerns itself with mountain biking in general, its history and its founders. Main goal of this thesis is to find out how the media, more specifically ČTK, iDNES.cz, Aktuálně.cz and mtbs.cz, informed about news and results from the World championship. Also there will be a comparison between their reports and services they provided, like photo or video recordings.
Media Coverage of the Czech ice-hockey team in 2010 - 2015

This thesis entitled "The Media Image of the Czech Hockey Team in the years 2010 - 2015" deals with the presentation of the Czech national ice hockey team at the World Championships in 2010, 2013 and 2015, in the Mlada fronta Dnes and the Sport daily newspapers. It focuses on the media image created during the championships with different process, results and circumstances. The theoretical part presents the concepts, methods and procedures. It focuses on the introduction of semiotics, its principles and explains the basic concepts of the semiotics and semiotic analysis work. Another area is the media construction of reality, which is important for analyzing media image. The media coverage of the sports events, myths associated with it, creating a statute of athletes' celebrities or presentation of national pride and identity in the background of sports events are the important topics of the presented theoretical starting points. In the methodological part there is presented the research project explaining the topic, objective and a sample of the research, the tasks of the research and also questions addressed in subsequent practical part. The growth in importance of the media social networking on the example of the 2015 IIHG Ice Hockey World Championship

This bachelor's thesis discusses the media utilisation of social networks such as Facebook and Twitter during a top worldwide sporting event. The theoretical part deals with the new media family, then with Facebook and Twitter, their history and operating principles. Besides the methodology, it also presents the 2015 IIHF World Championship, being the main subject of the social media networking. The content analysis of the social newtorks posts had been chosen as the research method for this thesis. The objective is finding out how these three chosen Czech media - Česká televize, news server iDnes.cz and Deník Sport were using the two social networks to inform the public about the tournament progress. The second goal was to compare the account contents of the three media to the two Czech IIHF Organization Committee channels and find out about the mistakes the media made while posting on social networks. The shovelware phenomenon is analysed extensively as one of the most used negative elements.
Achievements of our swimmers during the World competitions between 1950 and 2012

Name: Achievements of our swimmers on the World competitions since 1950 to nowadays. Goal: The goal of my work will be to gather significant results and success of Czech swimmers on the competitions of World, European and Olympics class and to judge a development of success of our swimmers through the time. On the significant performance of swimmers try to show capability of our swimmers to achieve the best results on competitions. Methods: In this thesis is used basic research of data which is important for main part of thesis. Results are stated on bases of strict standarts and they are choosing just from mentioned competitions. Than we use a comparison of data and then we use some basic maths operations to show results. Results: From the choose sources we found data and create a list of presences our swimmers on competitions of MS, ME, OH. Our results show a final position of swimmer in a competition, his time, Fina points and percentage value of his performance to his Pb. Results showing us that counts of our competitors is growing by the time 1950 - 2012. And on a last place we shortly show how swimmers were capable to focus their best physical conditions to the most important competitions. Analysis of scoring oppoturnities in matches played by four selected teams during WWFC 2013.

Title: Analysis of scoring oppoturnities in matches played by four selected teams during WWFC 2013. Intention: Purpose of the thesis is to analyse scoring oppoturnities from WWFC 2013 matches of selected teams Sweden, Finland, Switzerland and Czech Republic in a group and in playoffs. Methodology: The main method to build up the thesis is an analysis of succesfully shooted scoring chances of selected teams in WWFC 2013 matches, to put them into statistics and to evaluate them. Another method is to collect the databasis from literary sources and to process them into the theoretical part. Results: Outlines of the thesis are knowledges about the shooting and successful scoring chances of selected teams in matches in the group and in playoffs. Another outlines are: characteristics of shooting in case of its amount, types, where they were shooted from, how were they shooted and in case of the shooting situation. Formula 1 as a Sport and Social Phenomenon in the 1950s and 1960s

Bachelor thesis is focused on analysis of races formula 1 as a Sport and Social Phenomenon in the 1950s and 1960s. The author focused in the introduction on recapitulation beginning car races from 1894. The main part of thesis regards world championship in Fifties and Sixties. The author analysed particular seasons of the championship and concentrated on career of the best drivers - champions (for example Guiseppe Farina, Juan Manuel Fangio, Albert Ascari etcetera) as well as drivers, who didn't win world title (for example Stirling Moss) or Jochen Rindt (he got world title in memoriam, but in 1970 and this is not observed period). Analysis of running the most important teams follows (Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes, Lotus and McLaren).
Media publicity of World floorball championship in years 1998 and 2008

The aim of this Bachelor's thesis, called "Media interest in the World Floorball Championships of 1998 and 2008", is to compare the media image of the World Floorball Championships in 1998 and 2008 in the daily newspapers Mladá Fronta Dnes and Sport. By means of quantitative and qualitative analysis it examines how intensively the media paid attention to the World Floorball Championship and how they reported it. The comparison of media image is done among the papers in the studied years and between years 1998 and 2008. The quantitative section is focused on classification of the genre, location, use of photographs, use of graphics, etc., and the gualitative section is focused on the ocurrence of patterns, which offer a way of perception of the presented information to recipients.
Age Analysis of Cross-country Skiing Racers Who Participated in World Championship and Olympic Games in Years 1970-2007.\\

This thesis is focused on evaluating age structure of cross-country skiing racers who participate in World Championship and Olympic Games. The work shall show if the age of sportsmen can be determined as one of the factors of success, what is the optimal age limit and how is this age limit changed in the course of time or if it stays the same. After studying available literature and after looking up certain data on the internet, the results were evaluated in Excel, the graphs were created and the final report was written. The results showed: the average age often oscillates among 24 and 36 years in the majority of disciplines, it has been rather decreasing mostly in the discipline od women - cross-countra skiing for 5 km both at the World Championship and at the Olympic Games. The age decreases at shorter distance and a little higher age increases or predominates at disciplines for longer distance. The total arithmetic mean of the age of the maximum performance is 27.99 years in cross-country skiing at World Championship and at winter Olympic Games from 1970 to 2007. The arithmetic mean of the age of winners in World Championship is 27.75 years. The arithmetic mean of the age of racers participated in winter Olympic Games is 28.33 years in that time. Average age of women is 27.78 years, average age of men is 28.19 years.
