The suicide - Masaryk's lifelong problem

The work is focused on the theme of suicide in the presentation of T. G. Masaryk. Author's aim is to chart the Masaryk's life in such a way as to affect how the topic of suicide goes through the Masaryk's life and how is reflected in his work and opinions on the modern society. Is also pointed out, how this theme, in the background of Masaryk's philosophy, sociology and theology, mingles into all of these areas and connects them. The first part is devoted to young childhood of Masaryk and to his experience at the beginning of his academic career. It is outlined, how Masaryk got to know the theme of suicide and how he took it as his own. Another section is devoted to his personality and personal views on the world. Substantial part of the work is then focused on the interpretation of the religion and the modern developments of society in the administration of Masaryk and his theory of suicide. Following this, the author deals not only with this work demonstrative moral decay of society, but also with other Masaryk's works, in which is the problem of suicide reflected. The last part is devoted to criticism of Masaryk's concept from the mouth of past and contemporary authors and then the comments to the validity of Masaryk theory for today's society. Krize přirozeného světa The crisis of the Life-world PhDr. Klára Holá This doctoral thesis called The crisis of the Life-world is an interdisciplinary theoretical treatise on a problem of the crisis in connection with the Life-world, the main phenomenological issue. The crisis is related to the Life-world itself. The thesis tries to explain the problem of the crisis as a timeless concept ontologically related to a human being, as well as an ethical issue accompanying the development of the modern society. The aim of the thesis is to define the crisis of the Life-world, to describe its symptoms in the various areas, and to outline some possible solutions. To achieve the aim I have divided the conception of the crisis into two meanings which are related to each other: the ontological crisis and the ethical crisis. My hypothesis has proved the ontological crisis unavoidable, as it springs from the ambivalent position of the human being whereas we can balance the ethical aspects in various ways. I have used the comparative and phenomenological method as well as the phenomenological-hermeneutic methods of the text-interpretation. Development of the radio broadcasting as a cultural change

The graduation thesis Development of the Radio Broadcasting as a Cultural Change is designed as a cultural comparative study of the development of the radio in Czechoslovakia and the United States of America as a cultural change (the origin and transformation of the cultural element). The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and an analytical part. The theoritical part defines basic problems and deals with history of mediae in the world. The focus of this part is characterization of Czechoslovakian and American radio broadcasting. The analytical part is devoted to analysis of empirical data, predominantly to secondary analysis of accessible data regarding radio development. This part also focuses on culturological interpretation or reintepretation of results of the analysis. The concluding chapter deals with comparison of the development of the radio in Czechoslovakia and the USA.

Joga like a tool hypokinesis reduction

Title: Yoga as a Solution to Hypokinesis Objectives of work: The aim of this work is be to determine whether yoga is like a set of physical and mental patterns and exercises, suitable and sufficient means to address hypokinesa, which is currently a serious problem of modern society. Method: This is a theoretical work, namely the vital importance lies in the study of literature. Subsequently in the analysis of retrieved informations and the deduction of new knowledge that will result from the study of literature. Results: Based on study of the literature and our own experience we come to the conclusion that yoga is an appropriate means to solve hypokinesis, but only if it is practiced in tis entirety, when it is accepted as a lifestyle with all areas of impingement, not only as a physical activity. Free hugs - Sociological interpretation

Bachelor thesis "Free Hugs - A sociological interpretation" gives an interpretation of the phenomenon called Free Hugs - offering hugs to strangers on the street. The basic question behind the early work was the following problem: What happens in a society, where people are willing to offer hugs to strangers in the street? What kind of pressure operates on people? What is causing this pressure? The goal of the work is to interpret the characteristics of modern society, which most importantly affect the atmosphere that makes ordinary people create their sign saying "Free Hugs" and go into the streets. The text is divided into three chapters. The first provides the first insight into the topic and a brief excursion into the short history of the phenomenon. The second, major chapter deals with the sociological interpretation of the original motivation leading to the emergence of the described phenomena - advanced level of individualization in modern society and economization and fragmentation of relationships, both in work and private spheres. Walking and writing the world. An approach to modernity in Bohemia and France from the beginning of the 19th century to the 1940's In Christian allegoric texts the Pilgrim traditionally symbolizes the journey of mankind to heaven. From the second half of the 19th century on, poets, travelers, and vagabonds pursued the quest of an afterlife from within city walls. This dissertation examines the different representations of modern wandering via an in-depth analysis of the theme as encountered in French and Czech literature and arts from the early 19th century to the 1940's. It reveals, in chronological order, the different artistic approaches to modernity. By bringing out the various patterns that emerge from the texts, while taking into account the historical and social contexts in which they were created, this work adds to existing knowledge on the cultural similarities between France and Bohemia. It also examines the different literary genres which originate from mankind's need to walk and write the world.

Diplomová práce se zabývá současnými globálními společnostmi, hlavní hybnou silou světové ekonomiky. Provádí nás procesem globalizace ve světě se zaměřením na vývoj velkých nadnárodních firem a podává hlavní charakteristiku moderních globálních společností, včetně jejich organizačních forem a souvisejících procesů. Poukazuje na silné a slabé stránky těchto firem, upozorňuje na příležitosti a hrozby, které s sebou proces globalizace přináší. Na příkladu třetí největší světové automobilové společnosti, Ford Motor Company, je představen složitý mechanizmus fungování moderních globálních společností v praxi. Práce mimo jiné nabízí detailní pohled na krizový vývoj společnosti Ford po roce 2000, hledá možné příčiny krize a představuje nástroje na ozdravení společnosti.

Možnosti využití outdoorového tréninku v podmínkách státní správy

Postoje primárně vyjadřují vztah osobnosti k jejímu prostředí. Jsou tedy výrazně formovány probíhajícími sociálními procesy. Celková dynamika sociálního prostředí v moderní společnosti však klade vysoké nároky na jedince, který sám nemusí být schopen adekvátnímu přizpůsobení. Skupinové sociální výcviky pracují s jednici formou umělého vytvoření určitého miniaturizovaného modelu společnosti ve kterém pak probíhají reálné sociální procesy. Tyto procesy jsou následně podrobeny analýze a na principu zážitkové pedagogiky dále předkládány ke zpracování. Podmínkou je psychologicky bezpečné prostředí ve kterém účastníci přebírají odpovědnost za svůj vlastní rozvoj. Uvedeného principu lze využívat při rozvoji tzv. ?měkkých? schopností pracovníků organizace, přičemž tyto schopnosti jsou klíčovou podmínkou jejího dlouhodobého rozvoje.

Economic aspects of health in modern society

Předmětem zkoumání jsou specifika zdravotní péče jako ekonomické kategorie, zdraví a jeho determinanty, význam a postavení zdravotnictví v moderní společnosti, ekonomické a institucionální charakteristiky tří odlišných zdravotnických systémů (Německo, Spojené státy americké, Velká Británie) a zejména vývoj a perspektivy českého zdravotnictví. Cílem práce je analyzovat ekonomické aspekty zdravotnictví v moderní společnosti v kontextu historie a současnosti zdravotnických systémů a zhodnotit relevantní implikace pro české zdravotnictví. Práce vychází z vlastností zdravotní péče jako ekonomického statku, konceptu investic do zdraví a významu zdraví pro lidský kapitál. Diskutuje rizika a příležitosti rostoucí potřeby a spotřeby zdravotní péče vyplývající z ekonomického rozvoje, stavu determinantů zdraví a změn v chování lidí, které sebou přináší rychlý vývoj současného světa. Přibližuje měnící se roli státu ve zdravotnictví a zkoumá otázky obecné dostupnosti zdravotní péče v moderní společnosti. Zabývá se vymezením vazeb ekonomických aspektů zdravotnictví ve vztahu k souvisejícím medicínským, etickým, sociálním a institucionálním aspektům, jež zpětně determinují prostředí a podmínky pro racionální rozhodování a jednání aktérů zdravotnického systému. Identifikuje a srovnává významné ekonomické a institucionální charakteristiky zdravotnických systémů v rámci zvolené typologie, včetně zhodnocení problematiky jejich konvergence. Ukazuje logiku jejich vnitřního fungování a příčiny jejich typických problémů (čekací seznamy, deficity, nerealizovaná péče). Zjištěné poznatky jsou využity v diskusi o perspektivách českého zdravotnictví a vyúsťují v analýzu možností využití ekonomických nástrojů se zaměřením na implementaci spoluúčasti pacientů a na další rozvoj pluralitního prostředí zdravotních pojišťoven (variabilní sazba zdravotního pojištění a stropy pro spoluúčast).
