Revitalization Program of Floral Garden in Kromeriz

Revitalization of Floral Garden in Kromeriz was the aim of my project. Not only a form and a traffic, but its functional content as well. Floral garden was built in the 17th century by bishop Castelcorn and became a UNESCO heritage in 1998. I struggle to preserve original division of a front part of the Floral Garden. Its ideological meaning is original as well. It stays discrete, differs from the Floral Garden not only in form but in function as well. The front part of the garden is divided into three parts. One of them became a filter between organism of a city and strict Renaissance garden.

LABYRINTH

In the past, my work was focused on transferring the flat visual element into the space. I turn away from this concept, because as my Master's thesis I chose a Labyrinth. A labyrinth is not primary flat visual element. My final work is free artistic interpretation of this theme. My work based on classical craftsmanship techniques, which I am using in the new way in my work. I understood this theme labyrinth as an something very personal and individual. Because of this, I decide to create sculpture which will fit in to the gallery space and also the space of everyday life. My expression of the Labyrinth has cube shape. The entire sculpture is stitched inside, this stitch create the inside space. In one way this inner space is open and we are free to look inside, in the other hand center of the sculpture is hidden. I want to express a feeling of secrecy, and create tension between outside and inside space of the sculpture.

Add-on instructions for AS-Interface Network

This master's thesis deal with design and creating of the instructions for industry bus AS-Interface. These instructions were implemented in the software ControlLogix5000 like add-on instructions. In the teoretical part there are presented the issues of industrial control, AS-Interface bus, add-on instruction and model of the labyrinth. The practical part of the master's thesis is focused to design of the add-on instruction and work with instruction and its characteristics followed by the description of the sample add-on instruction and the list of all implemented instructions. The final two chapters include visualization and laboratory exercise.

The Phenomenon of the Journey in Artistic Areation and in the Pedagogical Work

This thesis is focused on exploring aspects and visions of the journey and their meaning, both in concrete and metaphorical terms. In one perspective, the path is interpreted as a link between specific points, while in the other as a tool to reach a specific goal. In such a context, the journey becomes an integral part of the process towards achieving a particular goal, which can be anything from reaching a specific destination to fulfilling a life dream or mission. In this context, the interaction between the journey and the destination is crucial. The artistic component of the work is a personal diary, which contains fragments from various journeys, captured in watercolour. The diary is enriched with drawings and texts that reflect authentic travel experiences. This diary, as well as the theme of "The Phenomenon of Travel", has become an inspirational source for didactic projects that explore the concept of travel, whether in an artistic or pedagogical context. The aim of this thesis is to explore the different aspects and perspectives of the journey, both on a concrete and metaphorical level, and to translate them into didactic projects. Allthreeparts are connected by pilgrimage, thatjourney, a threadwhichonefinds on thewaybut thethemeofthe image iscentral in allthreeparts, becauseonlythanks to it, theinvisiblebecomesvisible. In thedidactic part I presentanartisticactivity, whichisfocused on the return in art, to thebeginningsof art and cultureitself - to cavepaintings. In the art project I try to takethewholetopicof my bachelor thesis artistically by creating a smallbook, whichisprinted on pausepaper, so theaccentisfocused on theconnectionbetweenthepages "past, present and future". The Publishing House Labyrint and Media Reflection of Editions Fresh a Raketa

This Master Thesis is focused on analysis of media response to editions Fresh and Raketa of publishing house Labyrint in the context of history of publishing practice in the Czech Republic in the nineties. It also discusses contemporary literature for children and youth. Thesis studies critical media response to three particular books from studied editions Tajemství oblázkové hory by Bára Dočkalová, Robinson by Petr Sís and Plyš by Michal Hvorecký. Novel Plyš by Michal Hvorecký was covered the most in the media. The smallest number of articles was published about Tajemství oblázkové hory by Bára Dočkalová. Even though it was nominated for Magnesia Litera Award, it did not win the price in the end. The closing part focuses on a unique project by publishing house Labyrint, a magazine for children called Raketa. Media attention is focused on creators of magazine, either it is the owner of publishing house Labyrint Joachim Dvořák or its chief editors Johana Švejdíková and Radana Litošová. Critical reflection is rare, there are mostly short notes recommending buying the magazine or describing a new issue. There is a broad spectrum of media chosen for this analysis, from news media to cultural and literary periodical such as Tvar, Host, A2 and catalog Nejlepší knihy dětem.

Boundaries of the labyrinth. Literary Space in the Italian Postmodern Novels

The Phd thesis titled Boundaries of the labyrinth and subtitled Literary space in the Italian postmodern novels strives for specification and closer definition of the genre of post-modern novel through the analysis of literary space. Formally, the thesis is divided into three parts. The first part aims to provide a theoretical introduction into the problems of three areas related to the given topic, namely the definition of postmodernity and postmodernism, the genre of the novel itself and last but not least the study of space in literature. The content of the second part is the actual literary and scientific analysis of the selected novels (Città invisibili and Se una notte d'inverno un viaggiatore by Italo Calvino, Notturno indiano by Antonio Tabucchi, Comici spaventati guerrieri by Stefano Benni and Oceano mare and City by Alessandro Baricco) which follows three basic and most frequent spacial topoi occurring in these novels, namely the topos of the city, the house-hotel and the road. The third and final section sums up the observed aspects and characteristics and strives to use them as a basis for determining a certain and generalizing spacial and temporal principle which would facilitate at least a partial characterization of the postmodern novel as an independent genre.

Laberinto

Laberinto is a type of book-form game, invented by Andrea Ghisi, and first printed in 1607. A second version was printed in 1616 and includes all the characters of the so-called tarocchi of Mantegna, with the addition of a new series of ten cards (following the logic of composition of the tarocchi). Another two versions of Laberinto (printed in 1607 and 1610) contain none of the Mantegna tarocchi characters. The rules of the game are based on the art of mathematical combinations. The aim of the game is to move through a visual labyrinth and discover which figure the opponent has in mind. The focus of this work will be on the 1616 version; my intention is to describe the problematic of the repetition of the original game concept a century and a half later, examining the conditions under which players used the allegorical field of the so-called Mantegna Tarocchi, and under which the cosmological meaning was secularized and the new series of ten cards added.
