Marketing Mix of Language School Presto

The thesis is focused on the analysis of current marketing mix of the Presto language school, especially on its marketing mix of language courses for the public. On the basis of acquired information, it presents recommendations for possible improvement. The theoretical part of the thesis emphasizes service marketing mix, and explains its components. The following parts analyse the outer environment of the language school, as well as its current marketing mix, and bring suggestions for enhancement of the marketing mix of language courses for the public.

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of small business where the main focus of the business are services in the field of language education designed for both individuals and companies. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the analytical methods for the examination of the internal and external environment of the company, but also the possible paths for potential strategic development (growth) of small businesses, which are subsequently used in the second part of this work together using the methods of primary research. The result will be different draft guidelines for potential development company investigated to improve the reputation and prosperity of the company.

Competencies of an ideal language teacher based on the subjective opinions of teachers and language learners

This thesis deals with the current issue of strengthening and creating a competency model for private language teachers. At the present time, it is a very frequently discussed topic in the teacher community, especially given that the requirements for the profession are not specifically defined. Therefore, foreign language teachers often shape their own perception of necessary qualifications of a private language teacher. The aim of this thesis is to develop a competency model of an ideal language teacher based on the subjective opinions of the teachers themselves and language learners and to raise awareness of the requirements for the profession. The theoretical part first describes the position of language education in the context of lifelong learning, then it deals with the issue of competencies with a focus on the language teacher and last but not least it revolves around the language learner. A section is also devoted to the current state of knowledge and the results of research studies on the competencies of language teachers both in Czech and foreign context. The empirical part is based on semi-structured interviews with private language teachers and private language learners from four different age categories. Motivation of Adults in ELT

Tato práce se zabývá neformální výukou anglického jazyka dospělých. Pojednává o motivačních prvcích v jazykovém vzdělávání a jak je na motivační strukturu ve výuce anglického jazyka nahlíženo učiteli a jejich studenty. Cílem práce bylo prozkoumat motivační citlivost učitelů v tzv. one-to-one jazykových firemních kurzech a jaké motivační strategie v těchto kurzech učitelé využívají. Teoretická část této práce se zabývá pozadím tématiky vzdělávání dospělých a praktická čast práce se skládá ze dvou částí - dotazníkového šetření a pozorování výuky.

The study focuses on problems which appear to be fundamental in primary school education. The work si centred on reading and readerś literacy in primary school. The work is also focused on issues that seem to be fundamental in European school education and current development of Czech primary school. Subject of this study is to present educational policy and educational system of Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom, which represent three different types of school structure. It provides a more comprehensive view of the current issues of educational policy - fairness in school education, language training, integration of troubled students, integration of immigrants and the position of teacher. The final section contains an analysis of the results of PIRLS in Germany, Sweden, Great Britain and the Czech Republic.
Bilingual schools and European projects

The theme of this dissertation thesis is the relation of bilingual education and educational projects aimed at European issues. The research part was conducted at bilingual upper secondary schools in the Czech Republic, Germany and Great Britain (Wales). In the thesis the themes such as European politics, intercultural dialogue, international peace, human rights, humanitarian aid and language education are primarily included into European issues. The empirical research was deliberately realized at bilingual schools, where the instruction is delivered throught the medium of two languages. With regard to this fact a frequent participation at educational projects with European focus (European projects) was anticipated at these schools. European projects are often interconnected with the laguage studies. In recent years education projects have been an important part of the curriculum in Czech, German and British environment and they play a vital role in education context. The projects enrich the bilingual instruction from both methodical and content perspective and enable launching cooperation between schools and other partner institutions. Destiny of French as a Language of Diplomacy: Situation in the Czech Republic

The Diploma thesis deals with the current status of French as a language of diplomacy and with the role and the position of French in the Czech Republic. The goal of the theoretical part is to define the term diplomacy, to summarize significant periods of French language in the history of diplomacy, to deal with the factors which influence language status and to observe competitors of French. It focuses on six selected languages: English, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic and Chinese. It is trying to show the particularities of French as a diplomatic language. In the practical part, its goal is firstly to outline diplomatic organizations in our country and to describe their function. On the basis of the latest statistics and other collected data by means of interviews, the thesis illustrates the changes which can be traced in the language recently. Concerning the Czech Republic, it shows the changes caused by the accession to the EU and by the introduction of the CEFRL. In the end, it suggests three possible hypotheses of subsequent development of the French language in the world.
