Treatment of central venous catheters and the occurence of complications in pediatric patients hospitalised at hematoooncology

The bachelor thesis "Management of central venous catheters and their complications in pediatric patients hospitalized in hematology-oncology departments" deals with the care of CVC and their complications in pediatric hematology-oncology in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis was primarily to map the knowledge about the management of CVC among pediatric and general nurses working in pediatric hematology-oncology departments and to compare different management methods. The theoretical part consists of four chapters focusing on the venous system, general information about CVC, management of CVC, and complications that may occur. The empirical part presents the data collection method, implementation of the study, overview of the results and recommendations for practice. The research method used was a questionnaire of own construction, focusing on the management of CVC. The questionnaire was distributed to nurses working in pediatric hematology-oncology departments. Results: For statistical evaluation, 4 hypotheses related to: Length of practice, education level, type of workplace, and completion of training on CVC management were chosen. Czech Education Panel Survey – Report from the First Wave of Data Collection

This research report presents data from the Czech Education Panel Survey (CZEPS) conducted in autumn 2023. The focus is on how first-year male and female students perceive themselves, their academic aspirations, their relationship to school and their level of critical thinking they come to each type of secondary school. Based on responses from more than 22 thousands students from 249 schools participating in the first wave, in this report we focused on outcomes in the areas of wellbeing, choice of secondary school, sense of belonging to school, critical thinking test results and the situation of ethnic minorities.
Modelovací úlohy - Role strategií při procesu transformace mentální představy do formální reprezentace

Modeling tasks, consisting in the transformation of a mental image into the formal representation, very often occur in the study of computer science, mathematics, but also in other technical and non-technical fields. From the didactic point of view, it is interesting in modeling tasks (among others), which methods/procedures solvers (students) use to manage more demanding complex tasks. It is often possible to encounter students, who have significant problems solving complex tasks (or they are not able to solve them satisfactorily at all), even though they did not have any problems with similar simpler tasks before during the course. A possible explanation can be seen in the suboptimal use of modeling strategies (e.g. divide&conquer, iterative approach, etc.) or their total absence. This research is focused on the analysis of the role of strategies in modeling tasks, the possibilities of their support/development and teaching methods. The study is conducted, which aimed to analyze the possible impact of strategies in the procedures of university students in solving modeling tasks in the areas of 3D modeling and databases. The goal of the research was also to analyze the possibility of generalization of modeling strategies and their transferability between domains with different type of model.

This diploma thesis deals with summarization of information about Emilia Fryšová, a woman whose most important life roles included being an educator, ethnographer, and publicist. The first step in my processing for this work has been to research of given topic, then I have categorized discovered information based on its contents, I compared the information, and lastly analysed it. During the writing process, I have been verifying new leads and discovering today's long-forgotten facts. As I have already mentioned, besides teaching Fryšová had a close relation to ethnography, which primarily included cognizance of the South Bohemian Blata area, which she came to like, when she started to live and work in Soběslav. For a better context of this topic, I have decided to dedicate the first two chapters to themes that are closely connected to Fryšová, such as the life of teachers and the beginnings of ethnography in Bohemia. The main chapters of my thesis focus on detailed information about Fryšová. The third chapter is oriented towards her life as a whole. In the fourth chapter, I more deeply examine her association work and the activities as well as places and people linked to it. The Concept of Civic Literacy in an International Perspective. Czech Republic, Australia, England

This diploma thesis is concerned with the concept of civic literacy. Firstly, the thesis reflects the concept of civic literacy theoretically in both the Czech educational context and the chosen anglophone ones. For these purposes, literary research is done with the support of relevant academic literature. The second part of the thesis focuses on the Czech, English and Australian educational curricula. These curricula are presented as to their general characteristics, including their frameworks of civic education, and then selected aspects of the curricula are compared by means of content analysis. An integral aim of this diploma thesis is to provide an adequate definition of crucial terms related to the topic, those being the terms citizen, citizenship or literacy and competency. The expected results of this thesis are the theoretical reflection of the concept of civic literacy in Czech as well as in chosen anglophone publications, and the comparison of civic education in chosen educational curiccula, with the focus on three selected criteria: the degree of representation of social sciences, the concept of active citizenship and the way the curiccula work with the term competency. Educational structure of the Czech population in the post-socialist period: spatial patterns and gender differences

This bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of the level of education in Czechia and its development in the post-socialist period. The aim of the thesis was to describe and explain the differences in the level of education and their development at different levels in Czechia, with an emphasis on gender differences. The analyses were carried out at three territorial levels - European countries, Czechia, and Czech micro-regions (administrative districts of municipalities with extended powers). Quantitative analysis of secondary data was used to answer the research questions of the thesis. In the European context, the level of education and the state of gender inequalities in Czechia were assessed as below average. The research found an increase in the level of education and a reversal of gender gap in education in Czechia. Spatial clusters of educational attainment were defined by cartographic analysis. The most significant spatial differences were found between socio-economically developed core and suburban regions and weaker, socio-economically disadvantaged peripheral areas.
