Fuzzy Model of Investor´s Decision into Photovoltaic Technologies During Pre-Design Phase
Pavlíček, Michal ; Brožová, Helena (referee) ; Čapek, Jan (referee) ; Koráb, Vojtěch (referee) ; Dohnal, Mirko (advisor)
Dissertation deals with fuzzy knowledge base supporting investor’s investment decision into the photovoltaic technologies during pre-design phase, when the engineering solution is not known yet. Probably, majority of investors have particular image about the cost and risk coming from investment into the photovoltaic technologies. However, this image is limited to the restricted knowledge areas of each investor. During the period, when the investor is planning investment into the costly photovoltaic technologies at complex, vague and heavily qualified information about the conditions and risks of investment in the specific region, where the environment is constantly inconsistent and multidimensional, it is possible to solve this complex situation with fuzzy logic. This dissertation is focusing on creation of fuzzy knowledge base with selected installed projects in Europe since 2008 and its use with expert system. Furthermore, is covering the definition and description of the variables, which are included in the investor decision making process. The complete designed architecture of the fuzzy knowledge base is tuned and five projects with different size are tested. The fuzzy knowledge base consists of overall 24 variables and 187 statements.
Application Assessment and Proposal for Improvement
Svoboda, Jiří ; Mezera, Lukáš (referee) ; Neuwirth, Bernard (advisor)
The subject of this master’s thesis is a software application assessment followed by proposal of modifications that should contribute to improving the application. The thesis includes theoretical background necessary for general knowledge of the problem, thorough analysis of the current situation and proposal of solution, which includes decision about necessity of modifications for selected application parts and proposal of specific modifications. The solution also includes recommendation about testing methods that should be used to test the impact of the specified modifications.
Unused urban monuments – activation of the head of the Prague viaduct in Brno Urban planning and architectural study
Fučíková, Jarmila ; Pech, Zbyněk (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
First of all, the work should point out the possibilities of activating the non-functioning post-industrial area. The aim is to remove the “wedge” into the center and to bring missing urban activities to the site. For this purpose, I suggest the completion of a city blocks with a housing function, a square with a food market, a city park, and a connection to the surrounding of industrial buildings. The aim is to integrate the site into the city through the completion and rehabilitation of industrial houses. The great creative challenge is to preserve the genius loci of this post-industrial landscape.
The Personal Motif
Vlčková, Tamara ; Zálešák, Jan (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
In my bachelor work I focus on intimate communication. I am interested in the moment of detection and in a simple question: What makes sense? I'm interested in everyday situations and in a human body, which I display in different social situations and personal dialogue - with the audience, work, and man. The main motives of my drawings are personal stories that remind familiar stories, and transmit such information, which audience accepts and transforms in its own way. Important is a constellation of people and things, and also attitude, a gesture that creates the story. I mix reality, dreams, ideas, and questions - choosing aspects I tend to think about, that touch my feelings or that I fear. Equally important is the installation, where a personal space for watching drawings will be kept.
Modernity and holocaust
Vašička, Pavel ; Šindlar, Jiljí (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of the Holocaust Documentation Centre in Moravia. Currently, there are several museums dealing with the Holocaust in our country, but none of them provides comprehensive documentation of the Holocaust. The proposal therefore seeks to create a museum that will be able to report on the Holocaust in a broader context and at the same time will be an attractive environment, especially for visitors living in the multimedia world of the 21st century.

Socratic asking as a way to the truth
Procházka, Ondřej ; Rybák, David (advisor) ; Hauser, Michael (referee)
The thesis is focused on the method of Socratic questioning the essence of things and phenomena. This approach to his difficult, almost aporethical problems, is based on a structured, critical assessment of a given specific situation. These basic features will be demonstrated in Plato's early dialogues, specifically in Prótagoras and Faidros, where not only will we recognize the basic features of this dialectical method, but we will be able to understand the fundamental difference between Socrates and sophists. However, in order to fully understand this method, it is first necessary to understand the psychic and mental development of Socrates. Therefore, in addition to the above-mentioned texts, my work will also be based on the work of Jan Patočka, who maps this historical course and profile of the philosopher's life. What is the main point in the method of Socratic questioning? How can it be understood as a path to truth? And how can its knowledge and application change our daily lives?
