Criminal sanctions in Czech criminal law regarding the protection of children in the case of repeat offenders Abstract The diploma thesis is devoted to the current legal regulation of protection of children against recidivist behaviour of offenders, its evaluation from the point of view of sufficiency and comparative analysis of foreign regulation. The aim of the thesis is mainly to present the current legislation, including the international legal basis on which it is based, to evaluate its sufficiency and to compare it with foreign legislation. The thesis concludes with an analysis of the government's forthcoming proposal for a sex offender registry, including an outline of its pitfalls. The sex offenders' register is now a much-discussed political topic. There are calls from both the professional and lay communities for a new regulation to help prevent the increasing relapse of offenders who commit crimes against children. The pressure from society has intensified with well-known cases in the media that have shaken society and exposed the many shortcomings of the current regulation. The political environment has responded to this impetus and discussions regarding the development of a sex offenders' register are now in their second year. Cochem model as an option in the use of childrens participation rights

My diploma thesis focuses on the active role of a child in the process of decision-making about custodial care and its conditions. This thesis describes what is known as Cochem's model, how this model treats a child's participation and how a child uses that participation when its family is going through divorce. Cochem's model is based on interdisciplinary collaboration, which is also mentioned. There are also particular cases from real life supported by views from a psychologic point of view.
The impact of poverty and social exclusion in schooling and education of children and adolescents

The thesis deals with the topic of poverty and social exclusion in the context of education on the theoretical and empirical level. The theoretical part of the thesis concentrates on summary of poverty and social exclusion. It specifies the fundamental definitions, concepts and causes of its formation. Further, the thesis deals with the risks in the context of education, concentrates on government strategies, educational policy and institutions in the Czech Republic. Also, it describes the situation in the Czech Republic and concentrates on the demographic development of the Praha- západ county. The aim of the thesis is to find out how the social workers of Městský Úřad Černošice reflect poverty and social exclusion and whether it has any influence on school results. As far as the empirical part of the thesis is concerned, it contains qualitative research based on interviews with the social workers. The content of the interviews is based on the content analysis of the topics in the theoretical part of the thesis. Temporary Foster Care in the Czech Republic and its Situation as a Result of Political Changes

Bachelor thesis "Temporary foster care in the Czech republic and its situation as a result of legislative changes" deals with current situation of foster care after amendment of Act of Child protection, which came into force in 2013. First part is aimed to explaining terms, which are necessary for the work. Descriptive part deals with foster care description, because foster care and temporary foster share a lot of characteristics. Descriptive part is also aimed to the temporary foster care. There is explained, what this type of family care means and who is designed for. It also defines, which condition must interested person fulfill, to become foster parent. Insignificant part of the work are also financial conditions of both types of foster care. Analytical part is aimed to foster parents and professionals opinions. Essential part is these people opinion about the amendment. It is researched if the situation after amendment was improved, and if conditions of foster care are now better or worse. Another part is aimed to opinions of temporary foster care. There is discovered if it was well established, if there is place for improvement and if there is a lot of people, who are interested in temporary foster care.
Legal framework of practice by the employees of the Social-Legal Chid Protection Authority

1 ABSTRACT The aim of the thesis is to look on the impact of legislative framework on practice through the eyes of social workers in department of child protection. The point is approach the practice of this profession and impact of legislative to it, which can affect both the client and the worker. The theoretical part of the thesis presents legislative framework, which limits practice of department of social protection. There is summarize The Constitution of the Czech Republic, the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, social and legal protection of children's law and Administrative Procedure Code. Than in this chapter are processed gestation responsibilities related to child protection. The second chapter processed discourses in social work by Karen Healy (2005). The third chapter specifies legislative framework in selected parts of child protection. These are, for example, areas of guardianship ad litem, foster care, adoption, institutional care and curator for children and youth. Ethical reflection individual child protection planning

This final thesis deals with the individual planning of child protection and safeguarding in the Czech Republic. It describes individual aspects of this type of planning. It specifically explains the concept of individual planning and it also describes the client in the process and its legislation. Futhermore, it focuses on social and legal protection of children and their workers. This final work subsequently reflects these points also in ethical view. The used phenomenons as freedom, responsibility, conscience and subsidiarity are also described here. The final thesis is divided into theoretical analysis and interview with the client and a social worker.
The Specifics of social Work with a Family in Divorce from the social and legal Protection of Children point of View

This diploma thesis is focused on child protection in the context of divorce or separation of his parents and deals with the role of the authority of social - legal protection of children and the court in this matter. Mainly defines the terms of the applicable legislation in divorce matters (care of children after divorce, child's contact with the parents, alimony), which are usually the subject of protracted disputes between parents. The introductory section also mentions the importance of the family for the child and for society, the characteristics of the contemporary family, as well as divorce and its possible impact on the child and the wider surroundings of the family. In the empirical part, the work focuses on comparing the practices of social workers of the authority child protection offices in Prague with practices of social workers at the offices of towns in the Central Region in divorce issues, particularly in the area of investigation in the family. Next it examines also procedures of courts.
Possibilities of increasing interest in foster care in the Czech Republic

For most people, family represents a place where they feel safe and loved. But not everyone is lucky enough to have a place like this, to have a functional family. If the biological family does not work as it should and a baby is threatened in some way, the state has several options to help the child. If there are solvable problems in the family, the state can try to help it by various interventions to improve the situation. But if these actions do not help and the child is forced to leave this family, it is necessary to ensure alternative environment for baby. The child can either be placed in institutional care, or to substitutional family care. Considering the shortcomings of institutional care, various forms of substitutional care are mainly supported. Probably the best known form of substitutional care is adoption. In the case of adoption, baby becomes the member of new family and relationships between child and his biological family vanishes. This form is only possible for a small percentage of abandoned children, because most of them still has some kind of relationship with biological family.
