Bendová, Tereza ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the physical fitness of girls aged 14 to 16. The aim of this work is to evaluate the impact of the pandemic on a particular group of female volleyball players on the basis of recorded data. The theoretical part focuses on the pandemic itself, but mainly on the physical activity linked with the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The theoretical part also expands on information about volleyball and the individual player positions. The practical part deals with the recorded data and its evaluation. For data collection, I chose special motor tests performed on volleyball that test specific motoric abilities of volleyball players. The results showed that the physical fitness of the female volleyball players deteriorated in all tested areas. The biggest percentual deterioration can be found in the K-test used to measure speed. The deterioration rate was recorded in 100% of the players. Furthermore, when comparing whether the players' performance after returning to training recovered to their pre-pandemic levels, I found that not all players were able to perform the same. Florianová, Veronika ; Procházková, Jana (advisor) ; Vágnerová, Marie (referee)
The diploma thesis "Life values of pupils of 8th and 9th grades" deals with the life values in the complicated lifetime of adolescence. The main focus is on the youth at the age of 13 to 15, which corresponds with the 8th and 9th grade of elementary schools or with tercie and kvarta of grammar schools. The thesis concentrates primarily on the values and value rankings of individuals, mentions possible influences on these values and explains some concepts related to the values.or explaining the values. I specify the life period of adolescence, the integration of individuals into the society and their bonds to their families. The adolescents' ideas about their future are also reflected. The practical part of the thesis compares the life values of primary school pupils and grammar school students. To demonstrate the differences, I use a questionnaire survey complemented with professional opinions of teachers and professors from the schools mentioned. I am trying to find out if their values, value rankings, ideas about future life and their parents' support are significantly different in some ways or if there are any remarkable contrasts in these areas in terms of genders.

Chaloupka, Tomáš ; Kokštejn, Jakub (advisor) ; Frýbort, Pavel (referee)
Title: The effect of a short-term intervention program for development of sprint abilities in young soccer players (U15) Autor: Tomá Chaloupka Head of work: Mgr. Jakub Kok tejn, Ph.D. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to verify the effectiveness of a short-term intervention program for sprint speed development in young soccer players (U15). Methods: The research sample included soccer players (15 year old; n=12; 14,2±0,3 years) from the highest competitive level in the Czech Republic. For the interventional effect verification we used several sprint tests (sprint on 5, 10 and 30 meters, shuttle sprint 2x10 meters). Data analysis was performed by using IBM SPSS software version 22. Results: In the experimental group we did not found any significant improvement in the posttest in any individual tests after completion of the short-term speed-oriented intervention. Based on our results we note that we have failed to verify the effectiveness of the short-term intervention program for the sprint development in the young soccer players. Parental behavior and recognition of juveniles in geckos of genus Teratoscincus
Suchomelová, Petra ; Frynta, Daniel (advisor) ; Kubička, Lukáš (referee)
4 ANNOTATION The diploma thesis deals with parental behavior and recognition of youngs by two kinds of desert geckos of genus Teratoscincus, specifically T. scincus and T. keyserlingii. The geckos inhabit a very extreme environment where it is not easy to survive, especially for the small hatchlings. Therefore, it is probable that small hatchlings live together with their parents in their territory for some time. If the parents tolerated them inside their territory, they would provide them with an indirect form of parental care. In the first part of the thesis the hypothesis that adults tolerate to the presence of juvenile conspecifics and heterospecifics (Eublepharis macularius) was tested. The main goal was to determine whether adults tolerate juveniles generally or whether they recognize juveniles conspecifics. To support the hypothesis of the adults' tolerance of juveniles the eggs of the adult geckos living in pair were left in their terrarium until the hatching of the juvenile. Further, the reaction of adult geckos to the presence of a E. macularius juvenile (small), admitted into the terrarium, was tested. The aim was to find out whether the two kinds of geckos, preying other geckoes in the nature, show predatory behavior toward the E. macularius. The standard experiment was carried out in the second...

Univerzita Karlova Pedagogická fakulta Katedra anglického jazyka a literatury RIGORÓZNÍ PRÁCE ABSTRAKT V ANGLICKÉM JAZYCE Age-related variables in ELT training Příprava učitelů anglického jazyka pro různé věkové skupiny Mgr. Iva Koutská, Ph.D. Studijní program: Učitelství pro střední školy Studijní obor: Učitelství všeobecně vzdělávacích předmětů pro základní školy a střední školy - anglický jazyk 2020 Abstract ELT training has a long tradition in the Czech Republic, however one issue is still underestimated in Pre/In-service ELT training, and that is ELT training for different age groups. The ELT programmes are oriented at elementary (i.e. primary school kids and lower secondary) and secondary (i.e. upper secondary) school pupils. The typical Czech graduates are well- educated and prepared to teach English to the age-group 6-19. However, the number of English Language teachers teaching pre-primary kids or adults and older adults is increasing every day, and general adult education training and general pre-primary education training is not interconnected with ELT training courses in any way. In the theoretical part, the text shows on the current demographical situation of the Czech Republic that the percentage of the population ELT training programmes are oriented at is very small. Secondly, the text shows...

Title: The effect of a short-term intervention program for development of sprint and agility in soccer players (U16) Author: Bc. Tomáš Chaloupka Head of work: Mgr. Jakub Kokštejn, Ph.D. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to verify the effectiveness of two different short- term intervention programs in the development of speed-power abilities in young soccer players (U16). Methods: The research sample included soccer players (16 year old; n=22; 15,2±0,3 years) from the highest competitive level in the Czech Republic. For the interventional effect verification we used tests without the ball (sprint on 5, 10 and 30 meters, Illinois Agility Test, Yo-Yo IRT 2, six jump alternately) and with the ball (sprint on 5, 10 and 30 meters, Illinois Agility Test). Data analysis was performed by using IBM SPSS software Statistics 24. Results: Both groups of players improved in the agility test (r = 0.32; r = 0.40), but these improvements were not statistically significant (p = 0.16; p = 0.06). Group 2 (runs) improved in the ball agility test (p = 0.02; r = 0.49). Both groups were improved in a six jump strength test (group 1 p = 0.02; r = 0.51; group 2 p = 0.08; r = 0.32), but in group 2 improvement was not statistically significant. Both groups were improved in Yo-Yo IRT2 speed endurance (group 1 p = 0.09; r =...
