The climate of schoools in socially excluded and non-excluded localities

The bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of the climate of schools in socially excluded and non-excluded locations. This is a very relevant topic these days, so it's important to search more about it. Theoretical part of thesis, is focused on the definition of the basic areas of the monitored issue, with an emphasis on the climate of the school classroom and individual selected actors of this school life. The practical part examines the climate of schools from excluded and non-excluded locations. The research is conducted on the basis of a set of Klima školy questionnaires (Grecmanová et al., 2012) for teachers and pupils. The respondents are elementary school students, specifically the second grade of elementary school. The aim of the work is to find out, analyze and compare the differences in the evaluation of selected areas of school climate in these locations by pupils and teachers. The total number of pupils in individual schools is 592, with 273 pupils from excluded locations and 319 pupils from non-excluded locations. The results found in the questionnaire for pupils are subsequently compared with the evaluation of the intersectional items of the questionnaire for teachers. Kindergarten climate as a starting point for a child - centred model

The thesis deals with the climate in kindergarten and the personality-oriented model. The aim of the thesis is to explore the relationship between the kindergarten climate and the personality-oriented philosophy. In a narrower focus, the thesis examines personal well-being, the setting of the kindergarten teacher, and her interaction with the children. In the theoretical part, the author defines the concept of school climate, personal well-being, the personality- oriented model and its characteristics, the personality of the child, the personality of the teacher, and the relationships in kindergarten in connection with the implementation of the personality-oriented model. In the research part, the correlation and interconnectedness of these relationships are examined in the operation of three selected kindergartens. The correlations are examined through classroom observations and based on individual interviews with teachers and school principals. The collected data show different settings and approaches in individual schools and classrooms, various methods of work and communication of teachers with children, and also a different depth of understanding of the topic of the personality-oriented model. Prevention of risky behavior of pupils in the Na dvorečku community elementary school

This diploma thesis focuses on the implementation of a preventive program at Na dvorečku elementary school. The goal of the work was to map the preventive activities of the school, their real impact on the pupils and to propose changes that will lead to an increase in the effectiveness of the implementation of the preventive program. In the research, we focused primarily on questions related to the school's preventive strategy, the methods the school uses to fulfill it, and the way the school determines the real impact of preventive activities on the student. The theoretical part deals with the prevention of risky behaviour of children in the Czech Republic. We describe the members and function of the school counseling workplace, types of risky behavior and outline this issue in terms of Czech legislation. We also describe the importance and creation of the school's preventive program, its goals and evaluation options. We dedicate a special chapter to the school climate. Climate of a school class at a primary school

This diploma thesis focuses on the social climate in primary school classrooms. It aims to assess whether classroom teachers have an overview of the social climate in their classes. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part examines the social climate of the classroom and the school. Additionally, it deals with aspects of inclusion and integration in the educational environment, as well as classroom management strategies that influence the classroom social climate. In the practical part, teachers' characteristics of the climate in their class are compared with the results of climate examinations conducted in their classes. The research happened in three classrooms and combined qualitative and quantitative approach. Three instruments were used for data collection: a questionnaire, interviews, and a observation. During the research evaluation phase, the averaged student responses in the questionnaire were compared with the teachers' responses, and data triangulation was performed. Inclusive education with a focus on the pupil with a different mother tongue

The diploma thesis "Inclusive education with a focus on the pupil with a different mother tongue" is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is based on the basis of a professional literary research of the chosen issue, in which the author focuses on the pupil with special educational needs from a different socio-cultural environment, on a pupil with a different mother tongue who is educated at a regular primary school. In the introductory theoretical part, the author deals with migration, multiculturalism and briefly introduces the country, the national minority, where the student with a different language comes from. The author also includes an explanation of the terms such as intercultural identity, communication-language and integration of foreigners to this topic. In the second chapter of the theoretical part of "Inclusive education" of the pupils with specific educational needs, the author focuses on pupils with a different mother tongue. School and mental health as peceived by future teachers who identify themselves as LGBTQ+

The master thesis explores the topic of school and mental health of LGBTQ+ people. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the topic of LGBTG+ mental health of adolescents in the context of school. The aim of the empirical part of the study was to find out how is the issue viewed by future teachers who self-identify as LGBTG+. The research is composed of three questions: 1) what experiences do the respondents as LGBTG+ students have had in high school and find significant, 2) how they view these experiences and in what way they reflect their influence on their mental health and future direction, 3) how they view their future role as teachers in the context of mental health issues for LGBTQ+ people in schools. Data were collected in the form of individual semi-structured interviews, with the structure of the interview based on focus groups on a related topic. Interviews were conducted with 11 respondents of various gender and sexual identifications. The data were subsequently analysed by reflexive thematic analysis. Exploring the Teacher-Pupil Relationship at Multi-level Schools

This thesis focuses on the concept of multi-grade schools. The aim is to describe the social networks in multi-grade schools and to discover some differences from traditional single-grade schools. The theoretical part of this thesis characterizes multi-grade schools and their specifics. The history of multi-grade schools and their current state in the Czech Republic and abroad is also briefly outlined in this part. The attention is mainly paid to the social network of multi-grade schools. The practical part describes the qualitative research carried out, the aim of which was to analyze the social networks of multi-grade schools, to describe the specific climate of these schools and the existence of the multi-grade schools as an institution, and also to focus on describing possible differences between multi-grade and single-grade schools. The research sample consisted of 9 teachers and headteachers from three multi-grade schools in the South Bohemian Region, with whom semi-structured interviews were conducted. Data were analyzed using the clustering. Research has shown that the main advantages of multi-grade schools include the development of pupils' social skills, the possibility to work with pupils individually and a better school and class climate which prevents bullying and other socio-pathological phenomena. These schools also offer suitable educational conditions for pupils with special educational needs. The disadvantages include especially the difficulty of the work of the school headteachers and also of the teachers, who have high demands on the organization of teaching.
Views of secondary school students on ideal teacher

The thesis entitled "The Ideal Teacher from the Perspective of Secondary School Students" is divided into two parts - a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into eight chapters. The first chapter focuses on the personality of the teacher. It describes some typologies of teacher's personality, different stages of the teaching profession, selected factors that influence teacher's personality. The second chapter focuses on interaction and communication in teaching. Within this chapter, the author also discusses teacher authority and classroom climate. The other chapters of the thesis focus on the role of the teacher, the workload associated with the profession, and the topic of professional competence and teacher professionalism. The last chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis departs from the teacher to the pupils. In the case of the surveyed respondents, these are pupils in the period of adolescence. In the second, empirical part, the thesis summarises the findings of qualitative research conducted among secondary school pupils in the form of semi-structured interviews.
