Methods of presenting mathematics curriculum in 7th grade at a Montessori school

The thesis called The Ways of Presentation of Mathematics in the 7th Grade of Montessori School provides with a description and detailed analysis of Montessori principles with regards to their use and fulfilling tasks during lessons of mathematics at Montessori Schools. Its further aim is to check out in the course of lessons if the three Montessori principles - discovering of facts by an individual, work with mistake and individual approach - are being applied during the presentations of new topics to the 7th grade students of Montessori school. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with establishing of educational areas of mathematics and its application within the "The Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education" and description of current trends in mathematics, didactic constructivism represented by Hejný and Kuřina. Further on, it describes Montessori principles and their application and use during the teaching of mathematics and ways of presentation of mathematic topics in Montessori classes. The end of theoretical part is a comparison of Montessori principles during the mathematic lessons and didactic constructivism. Use of Montessori Pedagogy in a Primary School

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe in detail and analyze the reformatory pedagogy of Maria Mantessori and to compare it with the traditional pedagogy in the areas, in which these two movements differ most significantly. Then this thesis is aimed at describing individual methods of teaching from the point of view of traditional and alternative school, mainly aimed at foreign languages teaching. This comparison is described in order to prove or disprove the main thesis research question, which observes the effectivity of using Montessori teching methods in the context of a traditional school. To reach the relevant answer to the main research question, research methods such as observation and then experiment, based on the observation outcomes, are employed.. Development of reading literacy in selected alternative educational programs

This Master's thesis examines options to advance reading literacy in schools with alternative education. Thesis is focused on teachers work and used methods. The aim of the thesis was to determine, how schools using alternative educational programs support the reading literacy. Theoretical part explores reading literacy, characteristics of alternative educational programs and schools -Montessori, Waldorf, Dalton and program Step by Step. It specifies RWCT - reading and writing to critical thinking program and method of advancement reading literacy and reading. The practical part evaluates surveys filled by teachers from alternative schools and teachers using alternative educational programs. Survey is focused on teacher's job, utilization of RWCT method in schools, working with reading literacy and support of reading.
Art Activities in Montessori Kindergarten

The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of using art education in preschool education based on the principles of Maria Montessori pedagogy. The theoretical part presents the Montessori pedagogy method. It deals with the important principles of the alternative streams of educational system, it observes its features and the educational areas and clarifies the concepts of art education in Montessori schools. The next part of the thesis focuses on the usage of art education in preschool education and observes its streams and forms. It deals with the reflective, creative, and experiential form of education, which is applied when creating the art activities. The practical part of the thesis presents a case study describing the function of art education in a selected Montessori kindergarten. Several art activities were realized, using the inspiration from the artefiletic concept of art education. It focuses on self-reflection of one's own art project and it defines particular educational issues as well as its tools how to manage them. The bachelor thesis deals with the success of students from alternative schools in admission to secondary schools and also in their further studies at secondary schools. In the theoretical part, alternative education is discussed (origin, terms definition, characteristics, etc.). Further more, the theoretical part deals in detail with three selected representatives of alternative schools (Waldorf pedagogy, Montessori pedagogy and Church education). The subject of the practical part (exploratory survey) was to find out about the success of alternative school students in admission to secondary schools and during their further study by means of questionnaires and interviews.
Personality of educationalist in kindergarten

This bachelor´s thesis concerns the personality of kindergarten teachers. The theoretical part is related to the personality of teachers, professional competencies, the typology of personality and a short review of the pedagogy of Maria Montessori. The practical part is based on quality research by means of deep half-structured interviews. The narative approach was used for the analysis of the data aquired. The interviews took place with four kindergarten teachers. The aim of this thesis is to strike to the kindergarten teachers' personality and look into their lives which had lead them onto this professional path.
The usage of effective ways of communication in kindergarten.

The thesis deals with using of an effective approach embedded in a school education program of montessori kindergarten and church kindergarten. The theoretical part describes the effective communication, basic effective communication skills and ineffective communication skills, needs and emotion. Further thesis deals with a general educational program for preschool education, a school educational program and the scope of effective communication in a general educational program for preschool education. Last but not least it deals with an alternative education and the scope of an effective communication in a montessori pedagogy and a church education. The practical part includes a research focused mainly on what type of pedagogy approach and how often are the effective communication skills used in these kindergartens (Viva Bambini and church kindergarten Lipenská). Effective communication is embedded in the school educational program of both of these kindergartens. Both kindergartens have a different pedagogical approach. The kindergarten Viva Bambini puts emphasis on a development of sensory perception and an isolation of particular property. The church kindergarten Lipenská focuses an attention on a spiritual development of child and a limitation of religious content on a particular topic. The greatest principle is love and an establishing of the relationship with God.
Basic of Financial Literacy for Children in School Age with Mental Disabilities in Montessori Pedagogy

The main goal of the bachelor thesis "Basics of financial literacy for children in school-age with mental disabilities in Montessori pedagogy" is to create an instructional material for financial literacy in Montessori pedagogy. The research determines four partial goals. The research question is chosen according to the partial goals. The qualitative research techniques were used to the achievement of the goals of the bachelor thesis. The semi-structured interview, the participant observation and the individual work with the girls were used to collect data for the practical part. The result of the bachelor thesis is the formed instructional materials for teaching financial literacy including the handmade aids of Montessori pedagogy. The instructional materials, including the aids, was created during the research and based on the individual needs of the girls.The results of the research point out the work with the aids beeing helpful for both girls. It was proceeded systematically during the work with the aids. Both girls improved, especially in the area of the financial literacy. Each of the girls improved according their individual abilities. Therefore it is not possible to compare the results of the research. The improvement of both girls in the area of the financial literacy is recorded in case studies. All process of the work with the aids and the practise work with money is described in the instructional materials. The bachelor thesis can serve as inspiration for the production of other aids in the area of the financial literacy, or for the completion and the grow of the instructional materials.
