Fajkusová, Helena ; Šumníková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Květoňová, Lea (referee)
This thesis focused on the topic of modern digital aids for students with visual impairment that can be used in education. The theoretical part deals with sub-areas, namely education of a student with visual impairment, digital technologies that can be used in the education of a student and distance learning. The author's research was conducted based on a qualitative research model using the semi-structured interview method, which was then elaborated on one area at a time. The results show that most often the pupils used standard digital devices, namely a computer, or as additional devices a tablet and a mobile phone. As far as special compensatory aids are concerned, the braille display was mentioned in particular. On the topic of reading software, NVDA and JAWS were the most talked about by interviewees with ambivalent views. In distance learning, some respondents reported difficulty navigating the online file sharing environment, but used various forms to gain information on how to operate the programs. It was reported that they obtained information on their own from websites, and some turned to parents and/or directly to teachers who were able to guide them with the help of sighted review. The final chapters also mention the positive impacts of distance learning in terms of increased interest...

Impact of distance teaching in Covid19 on parental motivation in decision making and choosing private tutoring
Fleischhackerová, Lucie ; Šťastný, Vít (advisor) ; Walterová, Eliška (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the impact of measures in the COVID-19 on parental motivations when making decisions and choosing private tutoring for pupils of primary and secondary education in larger cities in the Czech Republic. The aim of the diploma thesis is to map the reasons for choosing private tutoring for pupils and the way in which the pandemic affected them. This is so-called shadow education, which includes various forms of private tutoring. The work uses qualitative research in the form of in-depth interviews. An individual interview with parents of pupils (n = 10) who use or are about to use private tutoring is chosen for data collection. Parents of primary and secondary education pupils were approached for the research. Parents play a vital role in private tutoring, as they are the ones who arrange and finance it for their children, and therefore create demand, so it is important to pay attention to their role in private tutoring especially how it has changed during the pandemic. The choice of the work topic and research problem is based on the topicality of the issue of private tutoring as a shadow education, and above all on the absence of information about parental motivations when making decisions and choosing private tutoring, especially during and after the...
Vaccination center 4.0
Forejtník, Ondřej ; Uhlík, Ondřej (referee) ; Apeltauer, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with modeling the pedestrian movement in a high-capacity vaccination center during the covid-19 pandemic. The subject of the modeling is the vaccination center that was operated by the Brno University Hospital at the Brno Exhibition Center in the first half of 2021. The work describes the vaccination process in the center and the related theory of pedestrian movement. A numerical model of the vaccination center was created in the Pathfinder program on the basis of data obtained, among other things, from the analysis of video recordings taken at the center. This was used for the capacity assessment of the vaccination center and for the creation of a design model of the center handling a higher intensity of incoming patients. The output of the thesis is a proposal for the layout of the vaccination center, which will allow the center to vaccinate the highest number of patients per day.

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on work in radiology departments in selected hospitals in the Czech Republic
DOBIÁŠOVÁ, Marcela
In March 2020, the first patients with the disease COVID-19 began to appear in the Czech Republic, therefore measures had to be taken to protect both hospital workers and patients. Hospitals also had to respond to this situation,as health care providers. With the increasing incidence of the epidemic, covid units were created in hospitals, often at the expense of regular beds, but sometimes even entire departments. These restrictions also affected work in the radiology departments, where there were restrictions on planned examinations. The aim of the thesis was to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on work in radiology departments and at the same time to analyze and structure examinations in radiology departments in the period from March 2019 to February 2021 in selected hospitals. In the theoretical part of the thesis, terms from the radiology department are defined, especially examination methods, contrast agents are described and divided, as well as their side effects. The next part is devoted to the principles of radiation protection, its use in the healthcare sector, the protection of radiological workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, the last chapter of the theoretical part presents the findings so far about the causative agent of the disease COVID-19, as well as the use of protective equipment. The research part introduces the results of a questionnaire survey among 64 respondents, describes what measures the hospital took to protect staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. The provided data on the number and structure of examinations from individual hospitals was evaluated and analyzed. 86 % of respondents answered that the COVID-19 pandemic affected the number and structure of examinations.
Measures connected with the occurrence of COVID-19 in Nemocnice Strakonice, a.s.
ŠIKOVÁ, Miroslava
Effecting a significant amount of people by an infectious illness in the extent of a pandemy is one of the most serious dangers in providing health care to the general population. It is necessary to keep the capacity and readiness for action of the medical facility as a whole. Therefore each hospital should be unconditionally ready for this crisis situation, and the consequent managing of it. The goal of this thesis was to make an analysis, and to sum up the organisational measures taken while providing medical care. To find out how the measures taken in connection with COVID-19 were perceived by the hospital employees, and if they were effective. In the theoretical part of the thesis the fundamental health terms situated to the legislation of crisis readiness, crisis planning and managing are defined, Then the knowledge about the origin of the illness discovered up to now in the epidemiological context is mentioned. The exploration part deals with the environment of Hospital Strakonice, a.s. and describes particular measures of the health care provider which were taken during the quickly changing incidence of illness and on the legislation. Based on specific examples, it is explained in what way the measures were applied, in order to manage the care effectively from March 2020 to May 2021. By the analysis of the organisational measures it was found out that the steps taken in all spheres were effective. Technical deficiencies were discovered as well. Respondents perceived the taken measures in a positive way, because appropriate care was provided to all patients. They assessed the newly gained experience in a positive way, too.
Risks in the emergency department in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic
SMÝKALOVÁ, Kateřina
The thesis focuses on the risks in the emergency department that may occur in newly emerging major epidemics, similar to the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the thesis was mainly to assess the risks of care and to identify the characteristic features of patients with COVID-19. The intention was to find out how positive (infectious) patients are identified. The final chosen aim was to develop recommendations containing measures for the management of patients with COVID-19 disease and minimizing risks in the emergency department. The method of research investigation to achieve the set objectives was by retrospective observational study and participating observation. The research was conducted in adult patients with a focus on positive patients in a low threshold emergency department. The data obtained from the prospective observational study were processed using the computer program STATISTICA 12. According to the results of the study, more positive patients were referred to the outpatient department from the waiting room, while significantly more positive patients were referred to the standard ward, ICU, CCU or ED from the observation hall. In both cases, more than 80 % of positive patients from the observation ward were admitted to the ICU and standard units. According to the average number of patients, 8 % more patients visited the low threshold emergency department on a weekday than on a weekend. From the observational cohort, the identification of positive patients in 112 (56.85 %) cases was done using Rapid Ag test, The results of the data analysis will be beneficial in terms of risk to make recommendations to the low threshold emergency department for the treatment of patient with COVID-19 and to minimize the risks both for patients and for healthcare professionals.
